OOC: I can't give Matilda a good excuse not to give Taint a tour, so we're just going to ignore the fact that he asked. In the future, please don't try to lead the topic away from the tent; that goes for everyone. Just ask Matilda your questions about the Gerudos, and I'll give you answers that are canonical to my story arcs.

IC:
"Everyone goes through basic weapon training," Matilda answered. "Guards, such as myself, take more advanced training. We don't have an official military, as many members of our race are desert nomads. Even with basic training, we should be an even match to anyone foolish enough to try to fight us."

The woman laughed at Taint's comment about Gerudic men. "Scrawny? No Gerudo has any business being scrawny; the desert is harsh, day and night. I don't know who you met, but she or he definitely wasn't scrawny.

"And of course you're seeing a whole lot of women; three-fourths of our population is female. It's quite a mystery to us. Our history tells us that our race has always been like this, even before Hathera, the Goddess of the Sand, came to us."

Matilda had to laugh again at the Zora's apparent misconception that he had a chance here, but thought better about bringing it up; she'll wait until he was foolish enough to actually say something. "The desert is the worst place for you to be, Taint. Parapa isn't known for being a moist place."

"Reeeaaalllyyy?" Taint stressed that word, pretending to be interested. "Is anyone is this village skilled in the arts of fighting?" He paused, and stared at her quizzically. "Like... at all? I mean, I'm seeing a whole lot of women, and some pretty scrawny dudes." He looked around, and smiled. "Not a bad place for someone like me!" He snickered. I'm way better looking, and stronger than any of the other guys here. If I don't get a date here, I've got next to no hope. Taint looked the woman up and down. "Care to show me around?" He asked, no feeling quite confident in himself.

The Gerudo looked at the Zora. She had to stifle a laugh at the thought of him being nervous around her. He didn't have a chance with her; Zoras couldn't impregnate a Gerudo.

But she didn't bring this up. Instead, she said, "Hello, Taint. I'm Matilda Rushwolf.

"Ah, what to say about Parapa Settlement. We're just like every other town, trying to survive in this world." Matilda smiled. "Except, you know, in a desert. We have teachers teaching our children what they need to know, and we practice the art of sword, spear, and horseback archery. As night come, we build communal fires and gather together to eat. Every now and then, we pray to our goddess, Hathera, giving thanks and asking for help."

OOC: So, keep in mind this topic follows my canon as laid out in my profile. But the only thing I have revealed about my Gerudos so far is that they fear magic within their own race and three out of four Gerudo babies are female, so everyone feel free to ask me about Gerudos. IC, of course.

Taint wandered through the town aimlessly, taking in the sights and sounds. He'd orginally traveled all the way to this little town to gamble through fighting some bandits, but he was far too distracred by the seemingly endless abundance of beautiful women parading the area. He would stumble purposely every now and then to get a second glance at certain Gerudic women. As he passed by a small tent, he saw a Gerudic woman come from the direciton of the tent. He stared at her glory for a moment. "I... Hi, I'm Taint... I... So... Where do you... How... Hi... I'm Taint." He trembled, but quickly calmed himself down. "SO! Do tell me about this fine town!" He swallowed hard, wondering why in the world he had trouble talking to women.

Away from the main groupings of tents that made up the Parapa Settlement is a lone tent. Like the others, it is cubical in shape, and a shade of color between off white and sand brown. Around the bottom of the tent are lines of cactus green and desert orange; these lines also go up one side of the tent in the middle. Obviously, this is the tent's entrance.

Though curiosity would beckon one to look inside, courtesy demands that one doesn't do so without invitation. However, a Gerudic woman does approach the tent and peers in. "Always running about," she mutters. "It's about time Aria comes back home and settle down so she can have a baby."
