Under a large tree a girl slept peacefully. She was completely relaxed; every muscle in her body was at ease. Her arms were still as they lay across her stomach. Her only movement was her chest as her lungs filled with the fresh morning air.
It was strange for someone to be so peaceful lying under a tree in the early morning; perhaps it was even dangerous. Maybe she was sleeping so soundly because she didn’t have any disturbing memories to disturb it, then again not having memories was a nightmare itself.
But the reason she was sleeping so soundly was because of the sweet memory that was making its way back to the surface in her sleep.
Dream:
She saw stood not to far away from a street full of people dancing and spinning around. She heard the happy festival music playing. It wasn’t night but it was slightly dark. The only source of light was a faint glow coming of exotic colored plants. In the middle of all the commotion a girl in a beautiful red dress that stood out from all the others. She stared at the girl who was dancing more gracefully and more beautifully than the rest. She looked familiar. She took a few steps forward to get a better look but when she approached she opened her mouth in shock; the girl was her! How strange it was to sit and watch her in a dream. She watched herself twirl around smiling. She remembered now…It was a festival. She paused as the memory of the day came flooding back. Suddenly her smile vanished, as she painfully recalled the events of the day. Almost like a strange De jah voo. She frantically searched the streets for what would happen next. Her eyes stopped on a man as he raised his bow and pointed it at her dancing in the street. She opened her mouth to scream to warn herself but nothing came out. Instead a man noticed and yelled
“Isabella!! Get down!” he yelled pushing her to the stone street. Chaos broke out with in seconds. 50 men all with bows jumped out from shops and began shooting the many innocent people standing around. Some screamed. She wanted to reach out and help a little boy whose mother just fell dead with an arrow in her back but she couldn’t move all she could do was stare at the destruction around her. When did this wonderful memory become a nightmare? She shook her head; this wasn’t a nightmare it really happened. It was a memory. Suddenly she didn’t want to remember her past. What if it was all as painful as this one? What if they were all bad memories?
While she lay under the tree her body was no longer relaxed and peaceful. She was tense and a small frown took place of the once peaceful grin. She sat up startled and covered her mouth to stop from screaming. She looked around at the people hurrying around her. Her eyes were wide and she slowly tried to stop her heavy breathing.

Saber walked slowly through the busy square, enjoying the air and sunlight, as well as the energy of the immense crowd. As he looked around, he saw a girl sleeping underneath a tree. What a great day...almost makes me want to quit the mercenary business....but I can't. If I do, I have no chance at reaching my objective....That's why I have to--
He was cut off by a sudden change in the people around him. They had stopped being happy and peaceful, and now....chaos. Lookingn briskly around, he saw the girl under the tree was hyperventilating. Swiftly, he ran towards her and slid on his knees across the grass, stopping beside her. "Are you okay? What happened?"

She sat up a little more, and practically choked. She hesitated as she tried to find her voice. "I...bad dream...It was a bad dream was all." she muttered looking up. "I'm fine" she said faking a smile. She thought about the question. Are you ok? the words echoed in her head after a second she caught her breath. She was ok she relized said sighing in relief.

He looked down at her scrutinizingly. She said she was okay, but she didn't look it...her eyes....This was no normal nightmare...something tragic had happened, and he wanted to know just what it was..."Well...I'm Saber. What's your name?

Another person, one clad in a cloak, noticed the girl for a second, and decided to stop and listen to what she had to say. She had already stired up a small crowd that was gathering around. However, instead of going into the crowd, the cloaked figure decided to listen to what was happening from a nearby bush, were he couldn't be seen.
OOC: This is Charlie Lancaster, before he is introduced in the "A figure roams about" topic. He just want to know what happened. However, I would prefer, if it is ok with you, that Hazelnut mentions something about not remembering who she used to be. For, you see, Charlie has quite a similar problem. Perhaps, down the line, "we"(our characters) can help in the quest of restoring each others memories. It also might be a fun little side note to add that he had a lighter conscience knowing that somebody else couldn't remember who they were.

When Saber asked her what her name was she immediately thought of her dream/memory. The man had called out the name Isabella...It sounded familiar. It must be mine she decided. "I'm Isabella or Isabelle." she said holding out her hand for a hand shake. "I..." she hesitated, "Do you think its possible for...this is going to sound silly...but do you think its possible to relive a memory in your dream?" she asked. She wanted to make sure it was possible and that she wasn’t jumping to conclusions.

Saber took her hand and smiled, although inside his mind the cogs were turning at doubletime again. There's no way that's her real name...What is going on here?

She looked down embarrassed that she was saying this. "Well I kind of don’t have a memory." she said still looking down only glancing quickly in his direction to see his reaction. "I mean I have memories, but they are all very new. I woke up here not to long ago not knowing who I was or where I came from." she sighed and sort of smiled "I didn’t even know my name."

She sighed and played with a piece of grass. "In my dream just now, I saw myself dancing in strange city. I assumed my name was Isabella because that’s what someone yelled to me before I almost got shot. It sounded familiar, so it must have been mine." She frowned in thought as she recalled the memory.
