Wow...this guy's great....no matter what, I just can't take him down....I only have a few more tricks left...Well, here goes... Sweat was now streaming down his face, matting his hair and reddening his cheeks. He held his saber with both hands downward, rushing as fast as he could, and lowering his body into a streamline position. As he approached Pyre he leapt straight up, trailing his blade in front of him in a graceful arc, hoping to at least jar the scimitar out of the way by sheer might so he could end it.

~The powerful and swift attack almost caught Pyre off guard. Almost. But just because he was prepared didn't mean that his attempts to stop the attack would work. He to was sweating. The fight had required quite a lot of exertion and agility so far. His opponent was far from lacking in skill, and his saber techniques were often hard to predict.
Despite that, the hylian met the attack head on. Of course that was ultimatly the worst thing he could do, as he parried the attack with his scimitar, and found it slipping out of his hands. Not again. He thought dismayed. Pyralin wasn't looking forward to fighting against a saber with only a dirk. That didn't mean that there was no hope for victory, but it would be a nasty turn of events all the same.
That meant that he had to be even smarter. The ranger decided to chose the unexpected plan of action. He let go of the scimitar. He hoped that the sudden lack of resistance would throw Saber off balance. That's what the fight seemed to come down to: positioning. In the current situation though, he would get cut if he didn't do anything. The hylian dove headfirst into his next attack. Literally.
He dived forward aiming for in between Saber's legs, and went into a roll, trying to come up behind his opponent. Speed would be a necessity with only a dagger to work, so he quickly rose to his feet, dagger lashing out. The advantage was, with such a light weapon he needn't worry about hurting his adversary. He could easily stop the dagger in the spur of the moment. Pyre used this as his weapon and didn't hold back with the attack. He expected that Saber would be able to handle the attack anyway, as he had previously in the spar.~

Saber smirked as Pyre went all-out with his scimitar. I've got him now! He's mine! There's no way he'll hold on to the-"AAAAUUUUGHHH!!!!" He screamed as he suddenly flew much higher than he had expected, flipping onto his back much like someone who had tried to kick a ball and had it removed at the last second.(OOC: Charlie Brown FTW!)
He saw Pyre dive underneath him and prayed that they wouldn't collide, but thankfully they slipped past each other fine. He landed with a thud on his back and groaned, his spine screaming for a few seconds, then calming down to a slight pain. Nonetheless, he sprang to his feet with the agility that had kept him in it this far, and realized that the scimitar was on the ground. At least I got rid of that nuisance...
He turned to face Pyre just in time to see the glint of silver lash out towards him, and he brought the sheath up. The small blade passed through the slits in the casing that were meant for a belt, and he stared at it in amazemend for a second, then twisted the case down savagely, smirking. That was a very fortunate turn of events...

~Pyre felt the other weapon being wrenched out of his hands, but wasn't going to let it end with that. Instead, he used the leverage to his advantage. The hylian hooked the weapon firmly into the sheath, and lifted himself off the ground, viciously kicking at his adversary. At the same time, he slipped his dagger out of the sheath, and felt hisself falling downwards. He hoped that the change in position would both confuse his opponent and make it harder to block the incoming kick.~

Hah...knew he wouldn't let me down, he's too crafty for that...With a grunt, Saber stopped the incoming kick with his free hand, barely holding it a few inches from his chest. Through his matted hair, his right eye saw his adversary's hand move quickly to his waist, and his reddened ears heard the sound of grating metal. He had to act fast. Sweating profusely, he rolled over backwards, keeping Pyre's leg straight and continuing to roll even after he his back hit the ground.
As he began to tilt over, he pushed out hard with both his blade, his hand, and a foot that he had brought up to rest on Pyre's thigh, trying to toss him over his shoulder while getting back on his feet swiftly.

~Once again, Pyre found himself reeling off balance. He was kind of getting tired of getting tossed around. Or throwing himself around for that matter. But he had to admit so far it had been effective, and he didn't want to get whacked by Saber or thrown across the room.
So instead, he used his hand to slam into the side of his opponent's calf to stop himself from getting thrown, and then jumped for between his legs. This time though, he stopped himself, and didn't raise up behind his adversary, but thrusted upwards with the pommel of his dagger. Right between Saber's legs.~

OOC:That....that was just cruel...low blow man....
IC: Saber would have cursed to himself if he had had time to, and if he wasn't balancing on the back of his neck at the moment. He even stopped himself from being thrown? How good is this guy? I've gotta find some kind of weakness.... Between his legs, he saw Pyre's shoulders begin to rise in unison. What is he doing...? Wait a second...he wouldn't!
Saber panicked, swinging his blade down out of his sight to protect his...sensitive area. He couldn't see much, but felt contact, and was relieved at the realization that he had taken the blow head on. For a second anyways. Then he felt himself propelled up and back, as the pommel of the dagger threw him. He flipped through the air and landed on his knees, swearing under his breath as he felt his legs jarred. He stood back up. "You fight well...I can't slip anything past you..." he admitted as he took up his blade again, catching his breath.

~Pyre smiled. No neither of them had really been sucessful. In fact, besides constant changes in position the only thing different was that he had lost his scimitar. He rose to his feet, and replied to Saber. "I don't often get to enjoy a thrill like this. No matter how hard I push your defences, you push right back." The hylian then settled into a crouch, stretching his calves taunt, ready to pounce. "It's not over yet though."
He sprang forward, dagger leading. The ranger was aiming at his opponent's left shoulder, but he hoped that when his adversary blocked he would be able to pivot, and aim for his sword arm. Maybe he could disarm his opponent, and even if he didn't he would be in a defencible position. He grinned in anticipation. Who would be the first to land a real blow?~

Saber smirked at Pyre's reply. "No, it's not over. The way it's looking, it won't be for a while now." He anticipated the attack, trying to think of a way to get this final weapon away. As the dagger point neared him, he took up his sheath, and actually charged himself. He leapt to Pyre's side opposite his dagger, and parried the thrusting blade as it flew by, his saber pushing it harshly to the side to thriw his foe off balance.
He planted his foot when he landed from his leap, and while he was still trying to get control of his sword, he lashed his sheath out at Pyre's back, hoping to at least stun him for a bit until he could reset and get in another attack.

~The hylian could feel the flow going against him. There was no way he could dodge from side to side or parry to blow, so he took the only option avalible to him, and dropped to the ground. When the sheath went over his head, he made his move.
Pyre was in quite an awkward position, and it was difficult to attack, particularly with just a dagger, which had too short of a reach to contend with a saber. So instead, he made do with more natural weapons. His foot shot out in a sweep kick, aiming at the side of the mercenary's calf. If the ranger could knock him down, he could end the battle. And even if he couldn't do that he could always cheat. The hylian mentally slapped himself. It wasn't time to get frusterated and use his trump card too early. Cheating would have to wait.
By the time he deliberated with himself, he either missed or striked. Pyralin didn't even notice; his concentration on what he was going to do next was too great. As soon as his kick was finished, he planted the sweeping foot, and used it as a pivot to lift himself up, very close to where Saber was supposed to be. Almost awkwardly close. But that was the range nessicary for striking with a dagger, so he didn't mind. Instead he was simply excited as to how his adversary would deal with the latest attack.~

The door to the dojo opened, and an unfamiliar face walked in, this man was tall, but around his twenties if you had to guess. He had blue hair, and the red eyes of a shiekah warrior, he wore gerudo-like clothing, and at his waist, were not only twin daggers, but a nasty-looking scimitar. The mysterious man smilede to all assembled, and sat down near the wall, eager to see how these people fought. Not long after he sat down, the man pulled out a canteen, and began to drink. He then had his full attention of the match, with the intention of facing the victor.

Saber groaned as his latest attack missed, the sheath sailing over his opponent's head. The momentum of the missed strike carried him around in a twirl, and it didn't help matters when he felt his last connection to the ground bludgeoned at the calf. He was falling forward, and tried to catch himself, dropping his sheath as his left hand flew beneath him. His hand planted as his head was just above the floor, but his feet scrabbled beneath him as he tried to get upright, and he ended up skidding a few feet on his stomach, his legs flailing behind him. He rolled onto his back as he stopped and backrolled to his feet, cursing himself in his mind for losing his second weapon. He lashed out with his own foot as he came up, even though he had no idea where Pyre was at the moment.

(((OOC: As a side note, as I wrote this, I was listening to the album Kong in Concert, and the song "Funky Monkey Love (Candy's Love Song) by Vigilante. Maybe that had some effects on the post....)))
~As Saber had rolled out of the way, Pabru's second attack left him far from Saber's position. His dagger thrust thus was useless, as was Saber's rising kick. He let out a heavy sigh. All of this moving around and nothing happening. It was time for results, despite how they were obtained, even through cheating...
To start his next plan, he would need a decent distraction. The ranger decided that a dagger throw backed up with another dagger thrust like he used so often instead of the casual duel wield would work beautifully. Before anything happened though, he need to make the prerequesite preperations. The hylian started to gather magical energy in his center, letting it steadily grow larger. He planned on holding it in then releasing it at the last moment, in which he could no longer contain it for maximum effect, so this next attack would require perfect timing.
Rushing forward suddenly, he he pumped his arm, sending the dagger flying straight towards Saber. He knew he was disarming himself, but he had a surprise or two up his sleeve. Literally. He slid a dagger out of the cuff of his tunic, and parallel with the dagger throw, slashed out with this second knife. Both of the attacks were haphazard and could easily dodged, but that was the point. It would move Saber into the perfect position to get hammered.
Pyre then released the magical energy above his opponent's head. It would hit him hard almost no matter what he did, and with the distraction it would be pretty damn hard to get out of the way of the elemental burst above him.
[on a 1D6, I rolled a 4 which corresponds to earth] The pure rock that streaked out of a single spot above his adversary's head shot out in all directions, and even Pyre had to duck to the ground to the ground to protect himself. Usually this wouldn't work, but since Saber was currently blocking the path of the attack, he would escape unscathed from his own powerful magic attack.~
