Unfortunately for Blank, the burns seem to have rendered him slightly discombobulated, and as he charges at Sovelis with his standard-issue adventuring swords ready to deal victory, he makes what appears to be a horrible miscalculation. The nomad's swords do not strike the Tempest (3+2 [Roll+AGI]), and Sovelis manages to escape any damage whatsoever as a result.

IC: Sovelis skipped backwards as Blank atempted to end the fight with his 'Extra-Crispy' swords. JEEZ! That was close! he thought as he looked at Blank. "My next spell won't finish you off, and I doubt that I can dodge you agian." The Tempest said. "But I'm going to try and take you down...even if it means both of us going down. Are ya ready? Cause this could be my last move!" Sovelis pointed his staff at Blank. "Shape of man, deadly and large, take the form of a fowl, become small and harmless!POLYMORPH!!!

Sovelis' Polymorph spell settles gently on Blank, and had Sovelis not uttered the words out loud most would probably not understand what was happening. The effects begin to take place (14+1 [Roll+SPI]), and the transformation from man to bird will soon be evident. Already Blank is likely feeling a tad funny as the Polymorph spell begins to work its shape-shifting magic.
