Drake is named after the founder of the order of knights that his family had created.
His nickname is Josh, because another knight in his order was already named Drake.
For generations his famly had been a long line of knights and paladins who had served the king of Hyrule and the goddesses and had been defenders of the Triforce and the sacred realm. An evil lich seeing this order as a threat to him and his followers proceeded to sluaghter every last member of the order, except Josh who during this time had been visiting the Great Deku Tree in Kokiri Forest which he had done since he was a child (currently a teen but considered an adult by the knights standards). When Josh returned to his village he found only death and destruction. He ran to find his father who with his last breath whispered the words "Flee, for death has returned my son". Overwhelmed with anger, Josh took up his father's bow and sword and awore to seek vengence on the lich.

Drake has medium-long brown hair that comes down to the top of his shoulders. He has deep blue eyes and pointed ears because he is Hylian. He is strong and athletic. He wears a black short sleeved shirt and black pants. He wears two brown gauntlets, one on each hand, much like that of Link's. He has three belts around his waist, one on his upperwaist, one in the middle on his waist, and the thrid starting at his waist and the tip hanging down to his upper thigh. His sword is held on the middle belt. He keeps his items in a satchel on his middle belt, in the back. He has a belt that extends from the right side of his waist to his left shoulder. He has a brown leather pauldren/shoulder guard on his right shoulder. He wears black boots. He has a smaller belt around his leg, below the knee cap, that holds a dagger. He has one earring in his left ear. All of his belts are brown.
