The escort Guards had left some time ago. Orpheous nad his companion were alone. They traveled alone through the North Forest, not once running into any enemies. This was perculiar, usuallt these woods had some enemy or another.
The mines were relatively easy to find, as well as enter. The threat of traps or anbushes was ever present.
When the two got past the first room of the tunnels, they realised why they weren't attacked yet; the mines were abandoned. Opened crates and barrels were all over the place, spare hunks of metal lay here and there. This place was quickly evacuated, all that remained were some keese on the cieling...
wait....Keese!

Throughout their journey, Stim had kept quite about himself. They did talk, and Orpheous did open up to Stim. However, Stim never really talked about his past. Orpheous decided not ask about it, as he figured that there would be plenty of opportunities for Stim to open up as this situation began to unfold.
The two made a good duo none the less. They were always cautiously of possibly nearby enemies. They were even more precarious when entering the mines. Orpheous gazed at the left overs of the evacuation. Stim's glance went straight to the keeses, though. Orpheous soon caught on and glanced up as well.
Stim motioned for Orpheous to stay quite. He then sealed the exits by using a silent spell. He then promptly attempt to access the keese's most recent memories with another silent spell. Orpheous looked around the room to see how great of a force had once used this as a base.

No prodding into the Keese' memories were needed. They were slight allies of Hyrule now, and granted access to their memories, as they could not talk themselves.
They showed ill news. A group of at least four hundred was held up here. Just yesterday, a scout of Hyrule found this place, and was injured, but managed to get away. Preperations were made instantly to leave. Teleports were done almost instantly. Within an hour, the whole base was abandoned. The Keese had no clue where the army went.

OOC: If you want to know why Stim speaks infernel, let's just say his past has 'questionable legality' (great quote form Ean in National Treasure 1).
IC: Stim thanked the keeses in infernal, hoping they would understand. Orpheous did notice that their was something odd sticking out of Stim's pocket. A black rose. Orpheous pushed the small detail to the back of his head as Stim joined him in looking through the rooms for clues, after he unsealed the exits. Four hundred men though, that could pose a threat.

Virtually nothing was left in the main chamber. However, smaller rooms were cut into the side of the mines, and they were far more profitable. Within the first room, in fact, was a rather large ammount of papers, much of them in either aincent Hylian or in infernal. The papers were all over the place.....

Stim knew minimal Ancient Hylian or Infernal. However, he got to work on translating the papers. Meanwhile, Orpheous looked through the other side rooms. Hopefully, Stim would understand the gist of the papers.

The papers had partial plans on them. They were, in addition to being in Ancient Hylian, encrypted. Stim might want to pack a few and bring them with him.
Orpheous' search was largely in vain. Most of the other chambers had makeshift doors, that had been caved in. However, a large room in the back of the mines was wide open, and Orph could easily get inside.
It was a tomb. Not one expected of an infernal army. It was a shiekahn tomb. It was filled with a calming presence. It deffinately was out of place here. Perhaps there was something amongst the bones on the floor, or maybe a large prize in the crypt?

Stim stashed the papers into a pack built into his robes. He shouted to Orpheous, "They're encrypted." He listened to the echo, and awaited a response.
Meanwhile, as Orpheous began to look at the bones, he heard Stim's shout. He jumped as the loud yell penitrated the room. He answered simply, "Ok." He looked back at the bones. He began the quest to find out everything about them, starting with which species they belonged. Once he had enough of the bone information, he processed it as he climbed the stairs. He then proceeded to open the crypt.

The bones were obviously shiekahn, unfortunately, as evident by the few remains of clothes left in the pile. They seemed old. Older than bones here should feel. Nothing mesterious could be found about them, other than them being dead. The Tomb seemed to hold bigger results; the body of a hylian knight was here. A large shield under him, a sword at his side.

Orpheous cautiously examined the armor and the equipment. Should he would have touched it while he was examining it, he would have done so carefully. This could be a trap, either inanimate or animate. Mainly, he looked for a name. He would also check to see with there was a body in the armor, if possible. He looked at the armor and the weapons to study the alloys they were made out of, and once he was done examining it, he put it all back into place. He then drew a sketch of the tombs exterior and interior, and his findings were also in it.

There was no name. The tomb was for a nameless man. But as Orpheous browsed through it, he could see that this knight did not die of old age; numerous sword wounds pierced his skin. His armor was of the best material, and a gold watch hung around his neck. It was a terminian watch, just like Orpheous'.
What's more, there was a slew of keys in the skeleton's hand, and a map in his ripcage. It looked like the map of a tunnel. Where would it be? In the mines?
Either way, the keese on the cieling fluttered, and left the cave. It looks like all that could be found in here was found.

Orpheous slowly reached for the keys and the map. He did he best at not trying to break the skelton's fragile bones. Once he got back to the castle, he would inform mages about the figure. Perhaps the corpse could be brought back to the caste, properly examined, and then given a respectful burial. He left the gold watch on the corpse's neck. Orpheous felt it wasn't necessary. He turned around and walked out of the chamber. He informed Stim of what he had found, and the two left back for the castle with as much silence as they came.
