Sakiko's Past
Sakiko lived in a small town, restricted to the limited townsfolk where everyone knew everyone else. Her parents had left her with her aunt, Opegaria, who was a mage. [[While in Hyrule, Sakiko discovered the lack of love that her parents had for her, and had planned to frighten her away from the town by instilling in her supposedly younger sister (although the blood tie between them is yet to be proven) a revolting desire for the mage's blood. However, the motivation for her parents' scheming dislike is yet to be discovered at her stay in Hyrule.]] Sakiko wasn't interested in being taught the art of magic by Opegaria, but she picked up a few spells here and there, but never seriously went under training. However, the death of Opegaria changed everything. Her aunt was killed in a deadly fire, partly Sakiko's fault. The fire had started out small, and Sakiko decided to put it out, using one of the spells that she had learned, thinking it'd be nothing at all. However, the fire was strengthened by Sakiko's magic, and Opegaria managed to save her niece, but unable to save herself. Sakiko was about nine years old when this tragedy had happened.[[There have been hints from various odd sources that the fire may not have been so accidental]]
Being bitter and angry, Sakiko withdrew herself from the world and roamed the mountains by herself, learning magic through passing villages, nature, and herself. Without realizing it, Sakiko had become a fairly adroit mage by the time she had reached her teen years, and at the present, she is 20.
Unlike most adventurers that Sakiko had met during her years in Hyrule, her past is not so colorful or wrought with tragedy, power-thirst, or strange encounters. Because of this, Sakiko had managed to hold on to a sense of justice and stern integrity, and only retreats into her cold facade as means of protection. The mage seems rather unwilling to unearth her past, and views it as more of duty than desire. This could be viewed as an act of cowardice, hiding behind a veil of amnesia if you will, but the truth is that Sakiko felt held down by her past and a small part of her wishes to free herself from the chains of her memories, or the lack of.
Sakiko's newly found "sister" - Anara - does not appear often. She stays at some dwelling that Sakiko chooses every so often, as the mage does not wish to let anyone know of her existence. Because Sakiko is extremely sensitive and secretive of the past, or at least the parts that are known to her, she often does not disclose anything that can be linked to her childhood. Of course, Zapheta and Masakazu are exceptions, but it's not like Sakiko can murder them. (er, can she? ^_^)
As of now, more of Sakiko's past are fumbled, even contradictory, and overall confusing. There are many people claiming different things, and Sakiko has yet to truly discover her past.
Sakiko's Appearance
The girl is, well, how should we put this? Pale. Although her disposition can be labeled as quite healthy, Sakiko tends to have sickeningly icy skin. It doesn't help that she chooses to look rather washed out in her gray robes, silvery hair, and gray eyes. Speaking of her eyes, they tend to change color, although subtly and rarely. Sakiko isn't a very attractive person, in all honesty. Her face is plain, angular, and stern. Although she's only in her twenties, she has the personality of a sixty year old. She believes in all things correct, proper, and just. Although her best friend is a thief (and always manages to point out the wrongs of her ways), Sakiko has a dislike for those who make their living out of filching and lying.
