~Lance nodded as he heard Junter mutter "Behind me." A plan was rapidly formulating in his mind, and Junter was already in position to be of use. The goron would of course be the "distraction" part of plan while the mercenary would be the one moving in for the kill, but Junter didn't need to be informed of that. Before he could make any advanced preparations however, his train of thought was interupted by the ranger, bursting throught the plume of sand, flaming blade lifted high. It seemed he planned on splitting Junter's head.
Lance was not particularly worried. It wasn't his own head that was in danger, and although it would be tricky to win a one on two battle if Junter died, it would be far from impossible. Indeed, instead of worrying about his partner's welfare he decided to put his plan into action. He rolled off to the side, out from under the cover of the goron's massive bulk, and to the side of the ranger. If he attacked from this position, the ranger would either have to stop his attack, and guard his flank, leaving Junter open to attack, or continue to attack, and risk getting skewered by Lance's rapier.
With a smile, the Shiekah forced the goron to make the choice, but not before making his own attack a little nastier. He ripped a scroll out of one of his pockets, a scroll not common in Hyrule. Indeed this was an extremely rare scroll made for him personally by Farn, the inheritor of the powers of the Black Seer. It was a scroll of Thunder. The Thunder spell was one of the most powerful in all of Hyrule, and indeed, when combined with the sword strike, it would be quite lethal indeed.
Lance wrapped the scroll around the hilt of his rapier, and then ran magical energy down his arm, and activated the scroll, watching electrical energy surge through his blade. He then lunged forward, thrusting with his blade, ready to run the Gerudo male through. As soon as he made contact, the Thunder spell would release itself, making the attack that much more deadly. The ranger would have to chose between Junter and the thunder spell very soon.
Meanwhile, the second gerudo saw her comerad being attacked, and started to get upset. She had no weapon on hand, having just thrown her scimitar, but because both of her opponents were occupied, she had time to go find a weapon to use. On the desert sand next to her, she found one: a spear that one of her fallen friends had been using. She whipped it into a two-handed grip, and charged forward. At the same time she charged, the ranger rolled forward, calling off his attack, and coming up at point-blank range with Junter, letting Lance's attack pass behind him. At the same time however, the second gerudo arrived, intercepting the sword thrust. The Thunder spell released itself, shooting through the gerudo's body, thouroughly killing her, and reducing the enemy head count to one alone: the ranger. The battle was coming to its finale, and now it was Junter's time to strike at very close range.~
