A perfectly blissful day. Not too hot, nor too cold. Not a cloud in the sky, but the sun wasn't beating down like it normally would. There was a light breeze, enough to keep one cool, but not enough to cause any trouble. Even the desert was bearable. This is where Matt Wittherson was now. He was on the edge of the desert, very far west and very far south. He was simply looking at the almost eerily calm ocean.

There were no troubles. None at all. The group had just freed the south, and all was well. It was a time of peace. Pax Hyrulianna indeed. Even the exiles were being calm lately. Several had turned themselves in, and were given minimal jail time. They acknowledged they had committed acts of treason against Hyrule, but they were willing to change. Only one thing currently haunted Orpheous and his group, as well as Matt. A group that called itself the Masters of Destruction. Little was known about their leader, the Nightengale, but it appeared that Vilk was a very powerful member high up in command, and he was ruthlessly killing. A few other sects might pose threats, and Shinora might be another name that might be spreading fear.

However, no news of Vilk nor the Masters of Destruction had reached the ear of the newborn society that was the People's Front of Hyrule or PFH for short. I believe the phrase 'perfect oblivion' could suffice for the current state of Hyrule.

All was not as it appeared.

At roughly 13 hours and 41 minutes after midnight of the 29th day of the 6th month of two years after Pax Hyrulianna, a large creature began to emerge from the ocean, not to far off the shore.

The creature had no rider, no visible person that was commanding it. It could very well be working on its own will. However, it appeared far to altered to be alive on its own account, or even real.

The creature stood over seven times the height of a human, if not much larger. However, you really couldn't measure up to it. On its back were huge demonic wings which it was using to fly. It appeared very hunched. It appeared to be moving for a purpose though, right for the castle.

Its head had no flesh, no blood vessels, no tendons, no muscles. It was a skull, and it appeared to be very dragon like. It might have not had horns. Wait, perhaps there might have been flesh on it after all. But the flesh was hard to notice, mostly rotten flesh that hanged from it's grotesque skull. Come to think of it, the whole creature seemed to be the skeleton of some large beast. A fully intact, well bound skeleton with rotted flesh dripping from it. It might have been of a dragon or a behemoth. However, it appeared far to grotesque and demonic to be either. It looked like a creature that would only appear in your worst nightmares or the work of fiction writers. It was something can could easily inspire terror and fear. It would be like seeing Satan or one of the other beasts of Revelation. This creature would be a plague on man. Hell on the world of Hyrule.

A huge fragment stuck out of the creatures skull, buried deep into the creature. This might be the driving force. However, it went unnoticed in Wittherson's first glance, and compared to the rest of the creature, it would probably go unnoticed to much of its adversaries. A pitch darkness shone from the beast, and it appeared to block of the sun. However, Matt had cast a kind of light orb that had preserved some light.

Matt, realizing the possible threat this creature may be blocked its path by standing in front of it, brandishing a weapon. He could do this for it was flying low to the ground. Matt asked it, in many languages, "What purpose do you have here, creature?" The creature halted.

A voice spoke, but it didn't come from the beast, nor was it the voice of the beast. It seemed to be coming from ... well... everywhere. The voice was all around Matt and the beast. It spoke in an impossible to comprehend language. It was a demonic voice, and a few sinister laughs were added in. The skull laughed along with it, but only the movements of the bones could be heard. Then, the voice spoke in common, "I have come to destroy Hyrule and to gather up the souls of the inhabitants. I can do this utilizing this creature. NOW DIE!!!"

With the end of these words, the creature lunched forward, swinging an over sized claw at Wittherson. The blow hit the unprepared young man, and he was sent flying back. The creature prepared to finish off the boy who stood no chance of defending himself.

OOC: This occurs post StS, but before the War against the Dark hosted by Kasei. In my storyline, this would probably be after Orpheous gets hospitalized against Gohma. Probably a few days after sent out of the medical district at North Castle. This may or may not be susceptible to change concerning the point in my time line when it occurs, but it will definitely occur post StS and prior to the War. So, all characters alive during that time frame are allowed to participate. If you don't want a character to participate without specifics concerning when between the War and StS this takes place, contact me. I may or may not decide if I will make a set point for this topic in my time line. Odds are, Matt, as well as the rest of the PFH probably loosely knows you Main Characters. Speaking of which, feel free to use as many NPC's as you want. You can even just use your NPC's. I don't mind.

The major point of this topic is to not only serve as storyline, but also as symbolism for HA2's current state. It is a little to quite around here right now. Hopefully KP's return, StS, the next topic in the War, and the tournament can up the current activity level.

A large arm encircled Matt's torso, holding him up after the crushing blow. Setting the man upright with his large appendage, Junter stared silently up at the creature, his eyes roaming over the odd form. He hadn't fought anything like this before, and he doubted that anyone else had either. "Boss has business. I can't let you continue." He finally spoke, raising his left hand, and in it, a large mace of granite. The weapon came to rest on the Goron's shoulder, the tip of it settling on a large boulder that seemed to be embedded in his back. Without looking at the stranger even once more, he began to lope forward, never reaching a very high speed as his heavy limbs pounded into the shock-absorbent sand. Junter was naturally slow, and the fact that the surface he was on was frictionless didn't help at all. However, he had to fight. He at least had to hold this beast off for another fifteen minutes or so--Kensun couldn't be interrupted. Jumping would be useless on this surface, he would get maybe half a foot in the air, if that. So the mace came around, aimed at the target's midsection, Junter fighting to plant his foot in the shifting surface.
