Kayla stared at the scenery. The cold wind played with her hair with a beckoning motion. The smell of the water overpowered her sense of smell. Even though it was something that she wasn't use to, the girl handled it. For her, it was like trying to be a vampire in the sun, being a fairy trying to look like a human, trying to be someone that you weren't.

The air burned her eyes, but she didn't blink. She stayed still for a few more minutes before falling to the ground on her butt and closed her eyes. She drew her knees close to her chest and rested her head on her knees.

Dressed in all white, someone could mistaken her for a runaway bride, or bride's maid. Far away, she looked over the age of fifteen. Closer up, she looked like a broken down girl who couldn't stand what was happening in her life.
