OOC: No, i'm not quite back yet. However, while you wait for my glorious return, enjoy a bit of my particular taste in Halloween spirit!

IC: A cold and windy night descended upon Hyrule castle, not unlike any other nights this late in the year; except for one thing; you were quite alone on the streets of Hyrule. Not a soul was in sight.

A stiff autumn breeze makes you brace yourself against the cold, as you decide to head to the nearest tavern so that you may keep yourself warm. Watching your breath in front of you, you move towards the Ornery Cuccoo Tavern, taking note just how loud your footsteps are on the abandoned streets of town.

However, it is soon apparent that you are not alone. Less than two blocks away from the tavern, you hear a quiet moan in an alley, and decide to investigate. As you approach, you notice a very familiar figure half-hidden in the dark of the alley; it was Kasei, who was obviously drunk. He was shambling towards you, in a rather odd manner. A small moan escaped his lips. Soon, though, as he entered the light of the streetlamps, you noticed something rather odd about Kasei. Blood was dripping from his lips. Several bite marks dotted his body and, most shocking, he was missing a fair portion of his arm.

It was instantly apparent to you what was happening; Kasei, the former guard of Hyrule's Dieties, is now a zombie. How do you know? Well, the first clue is the fact that he is now chowing down on your flesh, while you scream in agony. It ends quickly, as you black out.

However long later, you awaken, not caring that half your face is gone and that some of your arm is missing. You want, need, one thing: Food. And, that guard standing over your body looks mighty tasty right now . . . . .

OOC: Alright, if you're reading this, then you're now a ZOMBIE. You may RP as a zombie or as someone trying to end the outbreak before it gets too far out of hand. Happy Halloween! ;)

PS: This has no continuity whatsoever with the HA2 timeliene, just like all of my other holiday events!

The moan from the nearby alleyway attracted Keychain's attention. Her head swiveled and she walked in the direction to see what was going on. She shivered in the cold air, but soon found something else to shiver about. She stopped dead when she saw Kasei. Drunk or not, walking like that was not normal.

She noticed how he looked, even the horrifying severed arm. She wanted to bolt, but her mind was blank and feet felt like cement blocks. Pain shot through her arm as Kasei found his way to her side and bit on her arm. She screamed high pitched when she felt it.

Before she could bolt, she passes out. Once awaken from the shouting of someone, she felt that she was different. It didn't matter if her right arm was now gone, but it did matter that the guard looked good, very good.

He was still worried, looking at her with creases in his forehead. One of her hand reaches out and grabs an arm. He thought that it was for support, since he started to pull her to her feet, but when she bit down he screamed out loud.

Mm, first meal.

OOC: A Blade can't be taken down by a mere zombie 8)...

IC: Nogare was guarding the courtyard, alone in the cold, leaf-coated streets. In the daylight the streets would be bright white marble. Now, they were more grey than his name. He knew this was the one day people didn't want to guard the city, and honestly he couldn't blame them. The souls of hell wandered in living death. Fear on the hallowed evening was only appropriate. Nogare, however, was the Hero of Hyrule. He would not back down to being around when the dead walked the streets.

But what happened that night was more terrifying than the sight of a ReDead.

Tonight, he walked towards the tavern, to be sure that people went home. It was getting late, and it was more dangerous to be in a tavern on Halloween than they would have thought. The dead would walk in freely, and claim their souls...

He approached the tavern, and in the shadows, Nogare saw Kasei crawling out of the alley, drunk. "General!" he called, "It's a bit late to be out at night, on halloween, wouldn't you say? You should - AH!" he jumped back, seeing the rips in Kasei's form. He was too late! The dead had come, and took his body as its own! "NO!" Following him was Keychain, and a good many other common visitors to the tavern, torn up like the rags they were wearing, pale-grey skin spotted with spots of slow-running blood. Belegcam was used commonly to ward off the dead, but it seemed to take no effect!! He focused his power into the spear, but to no avail. They appoached, a limping stride, and he snarled. "I suppose I won't be able to use the traditional legendary weapons this time..." and with a swift motion, he reached behind him and pulled out a shogun, where a bow would usually be slung across one's back. With a click, he loaded the weapon, a thick bullet flipping out and clattering when it struck the ground. "Sorry, General," was all he cared to say. He pulled the trigger, and when he shot, a massive chunk of Kasei's face blew off. He loaded again, his dense muscles hardly tensing, and blew apart another tavern customer. Unlike the fortunate Kasei, the victim of Nogare's shotgun lost his entire face when it bullets struck his face. he fell limp. The dead tried to enter the body again, but did not prevail. The body was lost, from the magic Nogare had placed in the bullets.

"Bring it!"

OOC: Don't kill Nogare! He's Leon!! >_<

Akisu was awoken by a noise. He looked up to see Kasei standing over him. However something was different about him. Within a matter of seconds he realized Kasei wasn’t a human. He pulled out a pistol he had in his haystack and just began blasting away. Akisu ran like a scalded dog. As he began to run every where he looked there were more of the undead, until he sunk into a narrow alley where he sunk down. His only thought was to find more survivors

Ch-ch, BOOM! ch-ch, BOOM!

Taking three out with a single shot, then taking out another two with his second, Nogare shot his icy blue eyes from side to side, looking for another walking corpse. His fear was behind him, and all that was left was a need to kill everything undead. Not seeing anything quite yet, he scavanged through his bullet bag, and with a practiced motion loaded the necessary contents into the barrel. When he had the most the gun would allow, on guard all the while in case a sudden zombie would jump out and ask for a bullet to decorate their head, he pulled on the forearm, and took aim around him. He closed his eyes, seeing with his mind and will. Folk were abroad. He could feel their presence... There was one presence, however, that seemed more alive than the rest. All of them were hiding, likely from him. The living spirit he sensed was in the alleyway.

He opened his eyes, and let the barrel guide him to the alley, ready to mow down anyone who did so much as step towards him with a craving for living flesh. It was dark in the alleyway. Someone was sprawled on the ground, looking at him. He observed the living human. Without hesitation, he fit the stock under his armpit, and pulled the trigger.

BOOM!!
When the ringing of the gunshot that went off like a deku nut ceased, a low, moaning was heard. Nogare went into the alley, drew his combat knife, and slashed the undead in the throat. He turned back to the human lad, whose life he had just saved from the zombie that was behind him. "If the gun scared you, his scream of pleasure in your ear before sinking his teeth into your shoulder would have been worse. Here." He leaned the barrel against his shoulder, pointing the gun up, relaxing. One could assume he was off guard, but they would be terribly wrong. With his opposite hand - his left hand - he helped the young ranger to his feet. "I am Nogare. Give me your name as we go. We must find survivors here before the city is overrun. There is little else we can do for the city itself." He put the forend back into his left hand and pulled it back, loading the gun again, ready for another kill. "Let's go. Alleys tend to be useful ambush locations. We had better find a better position. We find the people, find as much ammunition as we can, then find a safe building - most likely the keep - and stand our ground against the less fortunate."

Nogare hurried out of the alley, expecting Akisu to follow him closely. Now the streets were filled with undead, and distant screams sounded. Most of them were armed with swords and axes handing from their hands, limping towards the feast ahead.

"Now listen. We're going to stand our ground here for a bit, then save who we can, then make for the keep. I hope your have plenty of ammo for that little pistol of yours. If you run out, you can use mine." He gestured to the holster at his belt, on the opposite side of his waist from his katana. "Let's roll."
