The world was over.

Not two hours ago, a messenger had stormed into the Kings chambers in north castle, covered in wounds and bleeding terribly and bringing horrible news; The Dark Army has revived Ganondorf Dragmire, the plague of Hyrule. The dark king was on his way to North Castle Town! The messenger died of his injuries the moment he had finished speaking.

The room was thrown into chaos, scribes and soldiers ran about, securing belongings. It was not until the king roared in a thundering voice that anyone even stopped to hear a plan. The old monarch sat upon his throne, a dark look upon his face. “We will need a strong defense,” He said, “as many people as possible must be assembled to try and stop Ganondorf. Captain,” He called, to a man who stood near the exit, “Call to Rauru Town, it is the closest, have your troops bring in anyone they spot in the field who could possible fight. Mages, warriors, gorons, zora, anyone. I expect them here within the hour.” The captain bowed, and departed to carry out the orders he was given.

In the town, soldiers were yelling orders to everyone. Those who owned bows were given a quick tutorial and put up in the ramparts. This would be the first line of defense against Ganon. In the streets, countless adventurers moved about, preparing their weapons. Several faces could be seen; Leth, Orpheous, Worru, Dogura, Pyralin, Saber, Alpha, Denning, and so many others were bracing themselves for the battle to come. Most knew full well that this was their last day, others were too stupid or too optimistic to see this as their end.

In the southern corner of town, the Seven Stars had assembled themselves. Kasei, Gor Gigan, Rimnos, and the other elite had decided to join this fight, for the future of Hyrule. They would be the ‘true’ first defense. All of them except Gor Gigan and Kasei were about to go and try to stop Ganondorf as he traveled the crossroads.

The Giant Gates of the town opened, and a stream of warriors and travelers marched into town. As they marched in, the Seven Stars snuck out, to carry out their doomed, last, mission.

Sovelis, the last tempest lord, moved alone through the streets, spotting several individuals he was familiar with. Worru, Alpha, Dogura all caught sight of him, but turned to take care of their own business. As the tempest weaved through the growing crowd, though, he spotted something quite important; Zelda, being skirted off by Impa. It was obvious that the princess was being moved out of town to safety, Sovelis decided rather quite that he should help. As he did, he spotted Worru behind him. “Go home, kid.” The tempest said, but Worru was suddenly stubborn. “No. Not until I’m sure Zelda is home-free.” Sovelis smiled, and they both trudged on, following the princess.

In the field, far from his destination, stood Ganon, at his feet were six bodies, all hacked up terribly. Five belonged to the members of the seven stars. The final one was that of the enormous and powerful Jormund Gobi, who had a change of heart at the last second, and tried to stop Ganon. The demon lost his head almost as soon as he swung at the dark king. Ganondorf smiled as he licked the man’s blood off his sword. He turned his attention west, to his prize; the North Castle Town. He marched alone to his target, behind him, was an ominous darkness that covered everything.

In the town square, countless were now assembled to do battle with Ganon. They stood ready, and scared. There were mages ready all over the place. Shiekahn assassins waited in the shadows, and the largest mass of Hylian solders ever assembled in such a small place stood waiting in the city streets. Everyone was anxious, and silent. “We’re all going to die, aren’t we?” A timid man asked aloud in the stillness. “No,” A voice called. “We’re going to kick ganon’s miserable ass so hard he’ll wish he was never born.” Nogare said stubbornly. “He’ll never stand a chance.”

The soldiers around the son of gray blade cheered, their hearts were emboldened.

The cheers didn’t last long.

The gates that stood between Ganon and the town were suddenly reduced to rubble, and the Gerudo stood amongst the splinters, smiling at the hoard before him. “Bring it on.” He called quietly. And it was brought. Arrows rained down upon him from all directions, and a mass of warriors rushed him. A single swing of his arm, however, was all it took to blow them all away. He had not been in the castle more than twenty seconds, and already, dozens were dead before him.

Like a bolt of lightning, he dashed through the crowd, those who were in his way were torn apart. The king of evil knew these men were small fry. Amidst the crowd were people who could be considered threats. Still, he plowed through, and, fast, burst through the doors of the castle, where a lone King Harkinian stood, sword ready. “Welcome, Ganon.” The monarch whispered, and with speed mimicking ganon’s, he struck out at the Gerudo, sending several blows at him, all were blocked. Ganon mearly swung, however, and the king’s sword, and the king himself, were cut in two, his innards splattered onto the floor. Many of Hyrule’s denizens rushed into the chamber, only to grieve as they saw their king dead on the floor. “I guess Zelda isn’t home.” Was all Ganon said, before cutting through several soldiers on his way out.

As he entered the courtyard, he found an open space. Greeting him were two men, Dogura and Saber, who rushed at him with deadly speed, swords drawn. The samurai was first. He parried Ganon’s first blow, but lost his head to the second swing. Saber got much closer, his sword almost grazed Ganon’s chest, but the mercenary found himself without a head as well, Ganon had kicked it clean off.

Another who attacked the king of darkness was Alpha. He was backed up my Orphous and Denning. Orph and Alph both shot deadly lightning bolts at the man before them, while Denning cast his barrier around them. Ganon rushed, the bolts had almost no effect on him, he punched right through the barrier and, for that matter, his target’s heads. Alpha died first, he was the closest. Orpheous swung his staff. It shattered against Ganon’s arms. The ink weaver died that second, his gut full of sword. Denning was the next to fall, with a blade cleaving his body in half from head to toe.

The ground shook, and a merciless mixture of fire and darkness covered the field. Kasei attacked now, his scythe swinging, desperate to get in a hit. The king dodged every slash. After a while, he grabbed the scythe and ripped it out of The Rebel Flame’s hands. The shiekahn resorted to blasting fire at the dark king, though it had no effect. “You’re like Gobi, kid.” Ganon jeered, before lodging the blade of Kasei’s own scythe firmly into it’s owner’s skull. The man crumbled. Ganon then launched a magic bolt at the one responsible for the ground shaking; Gor Gigan. The Goron was blasted to pieces in an instant.

Strange metal object stuck Ganon and, for the first time in the entire fight, he bled. He glared at the source of the attack; Valentine stood on a nearby roof, rifle in hand. An explosive magic attack took care of the sharpshooter, who didn’t have time to run.

Leth and Noval approached, both crossed blades with Ganon, both fell to him as well.

It seemed over. The heroes of Hyrule were falling one after another. Ganon was just pulling his sword out of Hiro’s guts, however, when Nogare, the son of Grayblade shot forward, enveloped in a blinding light. He stuck out with Belegcam. The spear struck Ganon’s left shoulder, and he found his entire arm suddenly covered in ice. As astonishing as it was, the Gerudo still swung with his right arm, slicing both of Nogare’s arms off. The hero himself died an instant later.

A thousand swords appeared in midair over Ganon, in a dome, blades pointed at him. Sovelis had activated his spells, and the bladed swarmed the demon.

Not one hit. The Tempest emerged from his hiding place, and swung out at Ganondorf, who simply ripped off his minute foe’s head. Worru was the last to appear, the Hybrid struck out with a flurry of attacks, both physical and elemental. Not one made a difference; his heart was ripped out of his chest less than half a minute after he appeared.

It was then that Aria woke up, Screaming, covered in sweat. “That was the worst nightmare yet . . .” She said. She looked at the clock. Midnight. Back to sleep.
