Ahem, I was wondering, although perhaps I should lurk a few more boards to get a better idea of conduct before asking. Are we allowed to join into a roleplay? Okay that looks like a ridiculous question, let me elaborate.

Take a topic in courtyard, say, the topic 'Only shadows follow' by Sumiyaka. Sumiyaka and Kasei are already engaged in a roleplay, would it be impolite or disallowed for me to try and bring my character in, or is that acceptable?

I can't tell as of yet. Sorry, I'm fairly slow at figuring things out.

You may join any topic you want at any time as long as the maker of the topic hasn't said otherwise. Of course, it's probably not a good idea to jump into something that's been going for five pages or so, since...well, that's a lot of reading and catching up to do. And don't just post for the sake of posting--if you can find a way to get your character in there, and you are actually going to improve the topic instead of trying to ruin it or completely disregard what's already going on, it's perfectly fine to join whatever.

Depends. Some players might elaborate as to who all can be at a given topic. If they didn't, it's always nice to ask them through PMs. Because the sight is so slow though, we're happy to see any posts at all, so long as they aren't spammy. However, some topics are for certain people only.

Anyways, you're pretty good. You seem to have really nice posts. Keep it up, I'm thinking about joining your starter topic in the Market Place, but I'm sort of detained right now by my nagging parents.

Thank you again Sabertache for your constant assistance, you really deserve a medal. But that aside, I'm going to look around for appropriate roleplays I can pad along into without being disruptive. And also without looking as completely out of my depth as I feel. HA2 does have a lot of exceptionally skilled members huh?

I've also noticed a slight lack of female characters around here too.

And also thank you Orphy (I'll keep it simple for now eh?) for your added advice. That makes sense, and I think I'll try and lay low for a little while, get the hang of the ropes and whatnot first. But it's a pleasure to finally be roleplaying again and at so good a forums - Yes I'm incredibly impressed with HA2, I'm probably rambling on how excellent it is.

And I empathize for you there, parents do have a habit of being commanding at exactly the most infuriating moments. All the same, hope to see some replies there within at least a week, patience just isn't my strong suit and roleplay does involve other players, not just me getting TP and so forth, heh.

And anyone can feel free to call me..uh, well I suppose Alias would be the best thing to call me actually. It's shorter than Persona by two whole letters!

While we're short on female members, they're some of our best. Brizzy is outstanding, and Arrika's top-rate as well. Pure Innocence I haven't seen as much of lately, but she's got quite the writing career going for her. Pretty much everyone here has improved a lot from when they first joined, so much writing back and forth tends to help a lot.

A writing career does sound like it would take a good chunk up of time, forgive the semi=spam flail, but some family matters turned up out of the blue and it ate up goodly chunk of my time, so forgive my inactivity.

And now back to subject.

I've only heard of two members on this site, Dream Illusionist and I might possibly have heard of Alpha-senpai, tell me, has he written a story known as Master Quest?

But that's all prattle, you all seem to be more than decent writers, but I guess the low-numbers of female members is because Legend of Zelda seems to be male-marketed, or it at least does to me.

Having so few females actually amazes me. All the other roleplaying sites seem to be just the opposite. HA2 is more of an action style than the others though, so maybe that changes everything about.
