People milled about the courtyard, but most hid indoors to stay out of the relentless sun. Aiden however seemed just as hyper as ever, she refused to bow down for the heat. Her dancers garb was perfect for this weather, cool and classy! Bounding over the earth she kicked up some dust then gritting her teeth she performed an elegant front flip, nailing the landing perfectly. A grin of accomplishment lit up her face, it had taken a month of practice to nail that just right! Wiping sweat from her brow she was already formulating ways to use her newest trick for entertainment.

Her thoughts were stopped by a soft coo. Her head whipped around and her eyes landed on a cute pair, a mother and a new born babe. The mother looked tired and weary, but maybe it was just from the heat. Waltzing over she politely asked to hold the wee one. Snuggling the soft baby in her arms she brushed a kiss to it's fuzzy head. Slowly she began to dance, a soft soothing sway at first. A soft lullaby flowed from her lips and she put the youngster to sleep. Handing the sleeping babe back to it's mother she blushed, "Thank you and may the Goddesses Bless you and you child."

Leaving the mother astonished she wandered into the shade, her heart still a flutter. Kids always managed to pull at her heartstrings in a way no other could.

"Energetic, aren't we?"

Aqua had watched the whole performance from the shade. The heat made her shoulders hurt more than normal. Her blue eyes had skittered across the land to find something interesting to find. She watched the girl dance around. It became more interesting once she had the infant in her arms.

The tall girl leaned back more to get into the shade more. Her head started to burn. Usually she didn't mind her brunette hair, but the day wasn't liking her at all. Somehow she had found lighter clothing, but that still didn't work. Aqua wasn't in a good mood; it matched the hot day.

"So you adore little infants?" Aqua questioned. She gritted her teeth to keep herself from sounding snappy. Her darkening skin was starting to burn. Once she was extremely pale, but now her skin was a light shade of brown.

The heat of the summer is truly a horrid thing to have to deal with. In North Castle, that's evident enough. Of course, for someone who grew up in the desert, like Kasei, it was virtually nothing. The man, after all, was virtually made of fire.

He sat alone in a bar adjacent to the street, watching the show patiently. After all, there was not much reason to interfere now....

Aiden stopped suddenly and cocked her head at the girl. This was someone she hadn’t met yet! A bright smile appeared on her face and she nodded. “I do like kids. They’re innocent and normally as full of energy as I am. My name is Aiden by the way and I am glad to meet you. It’s not often enough I meet someone new! Well, actually I meet a lot of new people, meeting people is fun and there never seems to be an end to new people. Oh my goddesses listen to me ramble, I am sorry. What is your name?”

The whole time Aiden talked she didn’t stop to breathe once and it appeared she built up speed as well! Maybe the sun was getting to her after all, for she wasn’t normally so jittery. In fact she was now bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet, as if she could stand to stay still.

Aqua's eyebrows shot up. "Whoa, a bit too much molasses in your drink, girl. I'm Aqua, by the way. My real name is Aquamarine, but people call me Aqua." She brushed her bangs away from her face, revealing the star scar that glowed ever so slightly. A grin spread across her lips.

Looking around, she shrugged. "Kids are cute. Then they grow up. Depressing, but I use to be a younger kid once upon a time too. Sometimes I wish that I could have a younger sister or brother, but I'm quite glad I was the last one."
