With the passing of the cold winter, Nogare had been granted at last a chance he long for all summer, and which he hadn't taken advantage of for two years now; a chance to visit the grave of his father, Grayblade.
He entered the glade where light beamed through the forest trees, on a ten-year old tombstone, which read:
R.I.P.
Grayblade, son of Swiftblade CXII
Loving father, husband, and brother.
May his memory outlive us all.
Nogare, on his knees, prayed to the Three for his father's sake, as he closed his eyes, firmly holding back tears, hardening his heart. Without this great man... this Blade... Hyrule's fate would be very different... Things thatt could not alter themselves otherwise. He gave his life for what he was loyal to. Nogare hoped that he would be able to as well, if it came to that.... although his loyalties were not for a golden eagle holding triangles and a fancy crown. Not directly, anyway. He knew in his heart that his father knew his priorities, and in that they related... but he supposed his mother, whoever she was, must have given him the trait of not doing waht she didn't want to... a free Sheikah, Was she just that? Or was it a desire he inherited?
Perhaps he would never know. His life was an enigma even to him. Only fate ever hinted to his destiny, and he knew that it would not come without loss. He cursed his enemies for their armies, and all who did not want to hurt people who he would eventually crush. Ancient fools, possessed by a curse not unlike his own...
His meditated prayer ended. He got to his feet, made the sign of the Triforce on his chest, and said to you as you watched him, "He was a good man. Good Blade... good father... I never had the chance to say good-bye before the raid..." he still never took his eyes away from from the grave.

Nogare's Profile

"Not everyone wants a hero." -- Macil Nassos
We never know what legacy we'll leave
Some promises are impossible to keep
It doesn't matter what happens. I'll find the answers I'm looking for.
Keep head down and away. None can know. It's a secret from everybody.
Why can't they see what's right under their noses?!
So am I the answer or am I the master, hmm?
