"Yes, you seem to fit the requirements to become yet another Mage." Sage Artorius observed calmly. "Well, go on then, serve your land and all that."

"Yes im a mage whoooooooooohoooooo" Kin yelled in excitement

Luna walked up to the sage and bowed. She didn't do so out of gunuine respect, but because she learned through experience that the more people were pleased with you, the more help they would give. And Luna had a question that needed a specific answer, or else things would be tougher on her.

"O wise sage," she began. "I have come to seek your infinite wisdom. I am sure you know where all different kinds of wepons can be purchased, so let me be brief. I have a skill that requires a garrote, and I currently lack the wepon. Where might one purchase a garrote?"

I'm not sure I can hold up this act for much longer.... Hurry up old man!!! Luna's mind yelled. Oops, hope he's not telepathic.

"A garrote, you say?" Sage Artorius replies, quite surprised by the question. 'Don't get many thieves around here...' "Well, I'm not sure anyone up here in the North is selling garrotes just yet...I suppose the ability you're speaking of is more of a formality, since there will likely be some sold in other regions of the world. But no, I don't think you can buy one anywhere around here."

So, bad news for Luna. The good news is that the man doesn't appear to be a telepath...either that, or he's really good at restraining himself.

Luna once again retured to the Sage, this time with a question about scrolls.
"Sir, might you be so kind as to answer another question for me? I am curious about scrolls. As you know Jinoa's Magic Shop with Din's traveling troup sells fire, fairy, and life scrolls. Are there class restrictions on these scrolls, and do I need to spend TP to learn the skills to use all of them? I have been able to find the fairy and life TP requirements to learn the skills, but not one for fire. If it's in there, I apologize, my eyes must have tricked me. Could you point me to it?

"I'm also especially interested in purchasing a fire scroll, and I also wonder how it works. Does it allow me to just cast fire on it's own, or do I need to use it with another magic skill, like elemental burst, for example."

OOC: Sorry it's so long, I'd just like someone to clear this up for me.

"Only Scholars may use the Life and Fairy scrolls, I am afraid." Artorius replied. "The Fire scroll can be used by anybody without purchasing the talent, and costs 5 SPL for each use. The other scrolls, however, must have TP spent in order to buy the talent before you can use them."

The bright cheery sunlight poured into Sergius' soul as if to cheer him up. The fact of the matter was, he was not happy. He had gotten lost for a few hours looking for this wretched sage, and by now he would just be satisfied with a comfortable chair. Finally, however, he'd spotted the elusive man sitting contently outside his humble cottage.

Sergius let out a long, exaggerated sigh as he ran up to the old man. "Excuse me sir!" he yelled out to the sage before even reaching him, "You are Sage Artorius, correct? I'm hear to be trained in the art of magic. I hear you can teach me?"

Keychain walked quickly. She pulled her ashy red hair away from her pale face and tied it with her blue silk ribbon to keep it from falling in her face. However her bangs were not long enough to be held behind her ears, but still fell into her eyes. Her pale, thin fingers kept reaching up and brushing them back.

Her brisk walk came to a sudden halt. She stared at the man that she came to find out about. The sage looked weary and tired to her, and she wondered if it would be all right for her to walk up and ask a few questions.

Dust rose as she spun around to walk back to Aqua's house and enjoy her time there, but she turned back around. She bit her bottom lip, making the light pink color turn to completely white. Breathing in and out deeply, Keychain started her brisk walk again, her heart pounding with her nervous nature and a dark red rising to her face.

"H-hello, sir," she said. Her voice squeaked and sounded much more high pitched than what she wanted it to be. Keychain cleared her throat and continued, "Um, I would like to ask about the mage status and how I can get it. Also, if I learned any spells during my scholar years, will I be able to use them again while I am a mage?" She tugged and pulled at her red hair, her blue eyes searching the sage for the answers to her questions.

Artorius clears out his throat; it's been a good bit of time since the last adventurer was here asking for help. He gives Keychain a warm smile as he leans forward. "Another Mage, eh? Well, you look like you're certainly up for the challenge. I can declare you a Mage if you spend at least 3 TP on spells which only Mages may learn." He pauses as she continues with a second question. "And yes, of course you can use other spells you have learned - provided, of course, that they are not special spells which only other classes are allowed to learn. Becoming a Mage means forgoing things like Resurrection or Epic Poem, but you'll still be able to use Life or Elemental Burst if you want.

"Any other questions, my dear?"

Excuse me, great sage, but how exactly are we supposed to give an NPC an item for a quest?
