Even though Rhyss seemed like a friendly man, Zeze desperately hoped that Rhyss was wrong. Friendliness didn't mean goodness - sometimes, evil people who were outright mean were better than those sly ones. And...it didn't help that some beast materialized out of the air like some...er, beast.
The bard winced at Kobas's strong grasp, and struggling was futile. She growled at the wolf-dog like an immature child that she was, and kept a prayer to the goddesses in her heart. If there was anyone to help her or her friends, anyway.
