The party actually goes on much longer than the intended week, as more and more ideas as to how to celebrate emerge from the minds of the Hyrulian people. Soon enough the streets are littered with group holding various games and competitions. Prizes can be seen all around, being won by anyone and everyone, or so it seems. Fireworks continue throughout the entire celebration, save late into the night when everyone is sleeping.
Tingle continues sitting beneath the watchful eye of the guards, dutifully slicing the cake into pieces and handing them off to his observers, who keep a steady supply of the delicious and...tingly...cake running throughout the crowd. Though at various times, they decide to take the cake for themselves and scoff it down quickly, much to the amusement of onlookers.
A full month passes before word filters down through the ranks of the Hylian Guards that King Harkinian II has decided that it is time for the celebration to come to an end. Disappointed at the fact, yet dedicated to duty over pleasure, the guards traverse through the crowd to disperse the people and send them back to their regular lives.
As Tingle lays the final piece of cake onto a plate, a strange glow is reflected into his eyes. He gasps in pleasure and wonder, for imbedded in this final piece appears to be none other than...a green rupee!
"MINE!!!" Tingle yells as he reaches out for it, only to have a spear slap the plate out of his hands. As the strange little man is restrained by the guards, others of their number pluck the rupee from the cake and take a close look at it.
"So he finally found it, huh?" comes a voice. The people turn to see Captain Collonius standing there. "That's a special little trinket we needed to hide away until the end of the festival." He takes it and walks over to the fireworks people while Tingle continues his kicking and screaming. The rupee-trinket is attached to a rocket, which is quickly shot skyward.
The rupee is indeed special. The fireworks produced by the rocket are so brilliantly dazzling that even Tingle stops his weeping to gaze up in wonder. Rainbows of color explode outward, blanketing the entire realm of Hyrule in a magical light. The show produced by this one firework somehow goes on and on for several minutes, before finally ending with a marvelous display that resembles the legendary Master Sword. Cheers rise up from the crowd, and the satisfied people finally return to their normal lives, leaving behind a glorious month of celebrating and looking forward to what the coming year will hold for them and their country.
OOC: Here's to the second year of HA2!
And...locked. I'm only a few weeks late, right? No big deal...right? Am I right??? I'm right, right?
