Sage Artorius gazes at the newcomer, a man anxious to be called a mage. Slowly he nods in agreement. "I can sense the abilities you hold. You are indeed a man worthy of being known as a mage." He smiles proudly. "Now go forth, young mage, and serve the Kingdom of Hyrule with your great powers!"

Sage Artorius looks hopefully at this newcomer, wondering how many mages he shall have the honor of appointing in the remainder of his life. This is the calling the goddesses have given him, and he enjoys it thoroughly, feeling a sense of pride at every new mage, cleric, or scribe that he sends out into Hyrule.

But as he gazes over Azador, his face turns sad. "I am afraid, my friend, that while you have indeed spent many TP on useful and good abilities, you have yet to learn a Mage-specific technique." He thinks for a moment. "I would suggest that, once you have received more TP, you use them on such powers as Polymorph or Elemental Explosion."

It is a sad thing for one to be turned away from the lifestyle he wishes...and just as sad to be the one turning him away. Artorius can only hope that Azador shall follow his advice.

Brin is strolling through Hyrule field when he happens upon Sage Artorius. "Sage Artorius!" exclaims Brin. "I have been looking for you. I would like to learn the ways of the mage from you."

Sage Artorius smiles broadly as a new mage-in-training approaches him. "Well, if it's the magical arts you wish to master, you've certainly come to the right place. All you need do is obtain 3 TP's worth of Mage-specific skills. Abilities such as Polymorph and Elemental Explosion are ideal for the kind of life you wish to lead.

"Once you have spent at least 3 TP on Mage-only techniques, come back and see me. At that time, I shall officially pronounce you to be a Mage!"

"Thank you, Sage. I will return soon." Brin leaves Sage Artorius and sets off to learn magical abilities.

" How do I get three talent points worth of Mage-involved talents/spells" asks Sovelis.

"Well young one," Artorius says calmly, "you must complete quests or grow levels to obtain the TP themselves. Then, use the Rules Set to find abilities that are stated as restricted to Mages. Spend 3 TP on those kinds of abilities."

Suddenly having a question in mind, Brin approaches Sage Artorius again. "Sorry to bother you, good sage, but I was wondering, do spells that can be learned from scrolls count for becoming a mage?

OOC: Oh! Oh! I want to do this one!

IC: The Sage looked upon the young Hylian. "No, not nessisarily; you can learn spells that require Talent Points. There are many of them throughout that Rules Set book of yours."

Brin thanks Sage Artorius for his help and sets off to retrieve Talent Points to learn the spells required to become a mage.

" um, sir? I spent 2 Sp on Polymorph, Because I gave Malon her Lanturn ( OoC: then went and got another one!) IC: and I leveled up to lvl 2, so that means I had 2 skill points, until I spent em', and i did oh great sage of this world. ( OoC: check sig if i did it right please!) says Sovelis

Artorius grins at Sovelis. "So I see, my young friend! Congratulations, you have done well. Spend one more TP on a mage-only ability and you will be able to become a true Mage!"
