"Well," Alpha says, "let's get going." He walks through the door, ready for the next challenge that awaits them. In his hands he holds his trusty Deku Staff, as he doesn't care to use a weapon he's not familiar with. He cautiously walks into the next room and glances around at the pool within it, but doesn't let it stop him from glancing around for other places that creatures may hide.

Now that he had realized that the palace held many surprises, Victor entered the room already armed with his dagger. Cautiously, he looked around from the doorway and saw the pool of water. Still moving carefully, the bard neared the pool...

There it is. Raven thinks as he walks towards the door and finds that Victor has already opened it. He steps into the next room the first thing he sees is the pool of water and immediately his hand goes for his dagger. The idea of water being so far into the desert and inside a palace doesn't add up.

You notice no creatures, but you are stopped. The water itself is quite deep, and there is land on the right above the water, but you still can't progress. Sitting in the middle of the pool is a wall-like barrier. It reaches from the floor to the ceiling and blocks the path from wall-to-wall.

Noticing the deep water, Victor began to ponder the possible puzzle the pool posed. (OOC: Yay! Tongue-twister!) Suddenly, an idea dawned on him.

"Hey Alpha! Use that mask of yours to make the water freeze!"

Alpha snickers. "Just what I was thinking, Victor. Time for the mask to do its work!" He reaches up and gives the spinner a twirl. It's dark black surface immediately begins to glow a strange violet color as it begins. As it falls on a blue tile the light flashes brighter for a moment, and a sudden chill rushes through the room. "Behold the power of winter!"

A wintery-cold chill flies through the room covering land in snow, and working on the water. In almost no time, the water is completely frozen.

Though he was shivering slightly, a smile still appeared on Victor's face. Still feeling brave, he decided to try crossing the frozen pool. Moving caustiously, he began walking on the ice towards the higher patch of ground...

The top of the ice is slick, and the falling snow is beginning to leave itself on the top of the ice. There is a new problem, the barrier is still in the way...

The zora, tired of his silence, puts out his pipe, the last wisps of smoke rising above his head and slowly disappearing. His hands quickly shove the burning thing into the depths of his satchel and claps the thing shut.

"Well, now for the wall." Julian mirrors the bards movements and walks across the placid ice floor. His movements swift as his webbed feet skate along and stop before the structure.

"Hey Alpha! Want to try another one of your bombs?"

Careful not to slip on the ice, Victor began to move along the barrier, looking for any cracks or weak spots that Alpha could possibly bomb...

"I think we need to find a soft spot first, Julian."

Alpha pulls his cape around him much more tightly. 'I always did hate the cold.' But, he considers, it's a necessary evil at the moment, so he decides he might as well get across so that he can change it back to spring. He quickly follows Victor's lead and starts across the ice.

He reaches the barrier, and stops. "A bomb would probably be a bad idea; it might destroy the ice along with it," he says in answer to their questions. He glances at them. "Any other ideas?"

Sounds like we were all thinking the same thing Raven folds arms in front of him as the chill fills the room and the water freezes. Athough it does make a change from the constant heat.

He walked over to the freshly frozen pool ans tapped it lightly with his dagger. Seems solid enough. He thinks and slides his foot onto the edge of the ice. He then realises that the barrier still exists. He then wonders if the cold of winter was the right answer to the problem posed.

"Psht...you could always destroy the wall, run, and freeze the ice again." The zora says as he brushes his fingers over the rough exterior of the wall.

"Well, I suppose so, Julian. Though we'd better make sure we aren't on the ice, just in case. I know you Zora like it, but I don't feel like going for a swim." Alpha waves his hand towards the entrance. "You guys head on back, and then I'll place the bomb."
