Bannin's raised eyebrows lower. Well, he made an oath. I will have to trust him. I just wonder why he thinks he is cursed... the General shrugged. He looked back at Nogare.

"Thank you, Sir Nogare."

Nogare bowed. "Of course." He walks out of the line, so the next person can sign up.

OoC: Norage, read my profile, that tells why my Character is cursed.

OOC: I know. I read it. But General Bannin doesn't know why. He will be left to get used to the curiousity.

Alpha slowly wanders into the area. 'If innocents are being held captive,' the Sheikah thinks, 'then I must help them. It is my duty, my desire...and my penance.' Walking up to where the sign-up sheet sits, he quickly grabs it and signs his own title, "Alpha".

The hooded mage then turns and walks away. Obviously, something about this whole ordeal disturbs him...to the point where he isn't even sure he wants any part of this...

General Bannin didn't say anything, since he had nothing to say. He simply nodded to Alpha, and looked at the sheet, which was now filled. 400 names were already on it. He drew another page out for the others.

For PCs, there's...

by Blank
Blank stood watching. When there was nothing for him to do in Hyrule, he would take in his surroundings in a suitable attempt to find something out of the ordinary. Normally there was nothing. Why had he come to the Temple Quarter, of all places? It was such a peaceful setting; not the ideal place for something odd - and downright shocking - to transpire.

Today, however, was different. He saw many a familiar face, and each one he was almost prepared to jump over to and greet as he normally would. Today was different. His fellow adventurers had been drawn to an official of the Knights of Hyrule, and Blank could not ascertain as to why this would be. Was something terrible going to happen? Or was this official just someone that everyone knew and could trade greetings and conversations with? The nomad could not say he recognized the face. Not that it mattered; upon closer inspection - that is, edging closer and almost peering over the shoulders of the others - Blank was able to see a list. A list of recruits. But why? Never had so many questions plagued him so, but still he restrained himself from making contact with any of the gathering would-be soldiers.

Two names in particular caught his eyes. Nogare and Dogura, two adventurers whom Blank had had several experiences with. A third name, "Karic," would have caught him off guard as well, had he known that it was actually Denning, the World's Greatest Cleric. Finally, as a fourth name appeared, he looked at the man who had written it. The hooded man had appeared to be just a stranger; a man whom no one ad ever seen. Now realizing that it was Alpha, the cloak did indeed look a bit more... familiar.

That almost settled it. If Dogura, Nogare and Alpha were in on this, it must have been for a good cause. The time had come for Blank to absorb the reason behind the recruitment. As he realized that soon the Knights would be at war with the Exiles, he felt his heart sink to his stomach. War was not something he was ready to jump into with good spirit. He'd have to be shackled to a line of soldiers just to participate.

Blank was concerned. He did not want to help the Knights, because there was that certain something about protecting one's country with a greater sense of zeal that did not inspire him. He was no patriot, he simply enjoyed living in the country. If the exiles were powerful, he would be slaughtered. On the other hand, he would never aid the Exiles. He was not ready to throw away his friendships, or his free homeland to a bunch of savage, misconducted rats. No, the nomad intended to remain neutral on this. As had always been his stance on the large political scale. The crimson-haired nomad took a turn in the direction of the courtyard, and sped away.

OOC: And this is where I can truly demonstrate my chosen alignment XD Count me in, sounds like fun. It'll be great standing in a neutral position during this :)

OOC: Blank, and anyone else who's part of this, read the annoucement thing for more info in the Courtyard. But Blank, in the battles, will you just be killing everyone? Or will you just be watching, and planning on killing the victorious ones or what? And what of the dungeons?

And to all, do not think this will be easy. I will say no more. ... Except
enjoy...

Oh, and Blank, be sure to check out the Battle for Ruto! It's very important to this story!

Oh, you'll see  Well, since you probably need to know (you being the GM of this big event), I'll mainly be travelling with the group, but expressing no concern over the issue. At times (i.e. battles) I may do some unexpected things, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it XD Because this is war. Alignment is a big deal, and mine just happens to be neutral.

Ah yes, the Ruto Battle. I kinda got lost after Blank got knocked out, but I suppose I should jump back up there.

OOC: No fair! I was gonna do the neutral jibberish! XD Guess you beat me to it...
*grumbles, mumbles, etc*

IC:

*Yawn...*
It was a dull morning for Tayro. All was still, there was nothing of interest on anywhere. Sure, he had aided get a cat out of a tree (whose scratches still hurt a bit on the Hylian's arm), helped getting a ring from a well... but it was all very dull. No monster slaying, no great unexplored ruins, no perilous adventures, no... nothing! Just and ordinary day, like many others. That bored the boy.
"Man... I'm so bored! Isn't there anything to do today...?"

Out of boredom, the lad kicked a little pebble on the road, who just ended up near a massive crowd.
Where a massive amount of folk gather, there's bound to be something interesting.
He tried to observe what was going on, to no sucess. There were just too many people and all their talking clogged whatever interesting sounds happened.
He even tried jumping, but again, to no avail.
I gotta find out what's going on there!
Suddenly, a a little light came from his brain. He had an idea!
Crouching, the boy put his hands on the floor and started crawling through the legs of the populace. Steering right and left, he found his way to a clearing, where supposedly the interesting thing was happening. He saw a Hylian Knights Signet, a participation sheet, and a few announcements. Whatever it was , it seemed big and explosive. That excited the young mage.
Seems the day will actually have something of interest!
Trying to get some more information, he asked around what was going on.
As he understood what it was all about, the old boredom came to him once more.
"Nope. Really a dull day."- he said, as he left the post.

Well, sure it's for the good of some people. Specifically, the Royal Family, no? The rest is just fodder, the Royal Family is all that matters. The Orphanage was poor and did anyone help us? No. They treated everyone from there terribly, like we were some kind of freaks. The Royal Family lived in luxury, when some of us had a tough childhood. The Exiles are no better, I know... they just live to murder and turn this land into chaos. I also don't agree with that.
The boy sighed as he was strolling through the streets, as he still meditated in the same affair.
Well, both sides are not for my likes, so I guess I'll just neutral for this matter...
He put his arms behind his head and kept on walking away.
"Man... I'm so bored!"

OOC: Hey. Who said there could only be one? You can both be neutral if you want. :)

IC: General Bannin yelled to Tayro, "Lad! Come here! We could use you! It's strongly recommended! If you don't want to, there will be no North Castle! And everyone will die!" He looked a bit ticked at the fact that he was walking away from the fate of them all.

OoC: I know. XD I just wanted to get first dibs on the neutral thing XD As I'm going to post, someone just skips ahead of me... Blank Fireside, my revenge shall not be light! XD (j/k)
That said, it's kinda obvous that I'm SO gonna participate (as neutral) :P

IC:

"I wonder if there's something going on in the Fields? Maybe I'll have more luck there.."- the boy said as he was headed to the castle gates. A place near those Hylian Knights was really not for him.
To protect the citizens... bah! To protect the Royal Family's more like it! I can't believe how the people just fall into their lies...Their lives are nothing, they can be wasted. The Royal Family's all that matters... Argh! How I hate aristocracy!

He continued in his meditation, until he heard a voice from behind him. Turning around, the boy sets his sights upon a known face.
Hey... Isn't that the man I saw while I was listening to Nogare play?
He looked at the Human as he inroduced himself. Not wanting to be rude, something the Orphanage maids had told him to avoid, he greets Sovelis, extending his hand at him.
"Hi. I'm Tayro. Nice to meet you too."-he told him, smiling at the new acquaintance.

Then, he heard the General speak to him, trying to convince him to join. This was already starting to get on the boy's nerves.
First, they ignore me and mistreat me, NOW they want my help? Oh please! You gotta be kidding!
Wanting to solve this matter once and for all, the boy turned his sights to the tent, his boyish smile disappearing from completely, showing a serious face, something not common at all in Tayro.
"If I don't want to, there will be no North Castle? You have mighty fine warriors like Alpha, Dogare, Nogare... you don't need me."
Pausing and letting out a sigh, the anger-driven boy continues his speech.
"Everyone will die, huh? Don't you mean the 'Royal Family will die'? For all I see, you're wanting to kill the populace now, sending them to war, separating families...Only the Royal Family mustn't be sacrificed... right? Well, if they want to defend this place, why don't they fight alongside their people they say they love, and help in this war? All I see them do is sending the people to do their dirty work here. Well, if you all want to be their puppets, it's your choice. I will not be manipulated that easily. Goodbye, gentleman."
As he said that, he again put his arms behind his head, and left the castle gates, to leave this matter behind his back.
