"Neat-O!" kasei said, "But too late!" for just as the moblins got into range, a disturbance could be heard underground, the earth shifted, and three lanmolas came out of the ground beneath the gerudo male, their large jaws making their way to his legs as they prepare to devour him! the moblins were just a distraction! now they charged strait at him, as the lanmolas attempted to eat, they would attack with their spears. all the while, phantom ganon stayed at the back of the attack, throwing shadow balls at the gerudo...

"FAR too late..." kasei said, then turned to his companion, "This is over, lets get that key!"

~Lance smiled grimly at his companion's confidence. The last word he would use to describe the situation was over. He watched the man carefully as he was attacked from both in front and from beneath the ground. Instead of floundering and being eaten, the gerudo responded with the grace only a master fighter could muster.

He pivoted around, smashing down towards the ground with his metal arm, crushing the attacking creatures with pure strength. The gerudo was quite sure that he would be able to handle troublesome creatures such as these.

He flipped the great flaming broadsword around in his hand, advancing on the approaching moblins, and ultimately, the two men and the phantom. An eager look crossed over Lance's face. He quickly twirled it around in his hand, and then stabbed it into the shadowy phantom ganon, using its magic dispersing powers to destroy the apparation. "He's mine."

The shiekah then turned to watch how the gerudo would deal with the attacking group of moblins, and wasn't dissapointed by the results. With a single great cleave with the fire-sword, he disposed of the moblins in the front lines. Another fell swipe and the second fell as well. By that time, the third line managed to crawl over their fallen comerades and the leader of the line thrust forward with his spear.

The gerudo brought his metal limb in front of his body, deflecting the thrust. It seemed the arm was very powerfully enchanted, and wasn't scratched in the least by the attack. From there he was open to counterattack, and lashed out with the greatsword, killing the third line.

Lance watched with growing excitement. He had thought that this camp would mearly be a nuisance. Not easy to conquer, but not significant in the greater scheme of things. It turned out that there would be a reward in the end.

He started to run forward as the rest of the moblins dispersed in fear (its just us two from here on out k?), ready to confront the new opponent. The shiekah didn't even give a second thought to any other gerudo gaurds that might be waiting around the camp.

In fact gaurds came rather promptly. From behind Kasei, three mounted horsemen emerged. They seemed to be gerudo, just like the other man, but once again they were all male. It was very strange. All three of the horsemen had long bows drawn and pointed at the mercenary. At their belts they had longswords, and attached to their saddles were lances. They seemed ready to fight.

All three leased their arrows, and the projectiles sped towrads Kasei. They hadn't expected it to neutralize the threat, but it was a good start. Maybe one would get lucky. Things were getting interesting.~

they were right to expect that, because abarrier of flames appeared and scorcthed the arrows, only the points remained. kasei then turned to the enemy and created fire in hi hands and threw it at his new opponents, he followed up with an emperial flame, a cursed black flame that doesn't go out, and cant be extinguished unless kasei wills it. the rebel flame then looked at lance, carelessly, he saw that his companion was eager. "HEY! DON"T GET COCKY!" he said, then turned back to his attackers, and brought out his bow and arrows, but instead of aiming at the men, he aimed at the horses...

~The riders saw the flame shooting for them, but assumed that it was only a cover for another attack. They were right in that aspect, and soon heard the telltale swish of arrows cutting through the air. All three shot out in different directions, two to the right, and one to the left. The pillar of black fire that shot from the ground, was left flaming in front of Kasei, as his arrows flew harmlessly into the desert.

The gerudo men were now frowning. It seemed that there opponent was truly skilled. If he hadn't cast the fires spells, their horses would be dead on the ground, and they would have had to go on foot. None of the three dwelled on it. Instead, they began to prepare their next attacks.

All three of the rider drew another arrow, but this time, a blue glow ensheathed them. When the lone rider to the left shot, his arrow broke up into five blue arrows, all of which shot at Kasei. This attack is commonly known as Hail of Arrows.

The other two used the same attack, each of their projectiles splitting into five. The virtual storm of arrows was now flying at Kasei, but the gerudo weren't about to let their gaurd down. Each drew another arrow, and prepared themselves for what ever the mercenary would throw their way next.

Meanwhile, Lance had arrived in front of the armored man. He flipped his sword around expectantly, and extended his left hand. The gerudo started at him for a moment before reaching out with his bare hand, and accepting the gesture. He however, had other plans.

The man quickly pivoted his hips, dropping to his knees, sending the sheikah hurling about his head. Lance was not quite caught unawares though. It seemed that the fight had begun. From above, he lashed out with his rapier, but found the metal arm in his way, and the attack was harmlessly deflected. Hmmm...

A moment later, he hit the ground. Hard. He expected another attack to come rushing towards him in the form of a giant flaming sword, but none came. Instead, he heard the man speak in common.

"I'm am the Ranger of the gerudo. Why have you come here."

The man raised his sword to seperate Lance's head from his body, but the sheikah mearly smirked and replied acidicly, "To kill you all." The ranger roared and brought the blade crushing down, but still the fencer didn't move aside. Instead he lifted his rapier, and attempted to absorb the magic of the sword.

The flame didn't wink out of existance like he expected, but it did halt the blade. It looked like the gerudo's magic was stronger than he expected. The smirk on his face widened. This was going to be better than expected.~

kasei formed sa second barrier of flames, and just in case, he made it solid flames, only he could pass through it...he saw the arrows comming, and they burst into flame apon hitting the wall, it was time for kasei's true attack to begin...
instead of a ranged attack, kasei decided to get up close...fast, he ran with sheikah agility towards the archers, through his own two barriers of flame, and on the way out, he grabbed some arrowheads. the rebel flame then vanished, and appeared next to the left horseman, kasei threw a fireball at him, and the horse..then turned to the others, and unleashed a kamikaze barrage, wasting alot of energy to unleash a huge ammount of flames in all directions, there was no dodging this, maybe...he then took the arrowheads he just grabbed and threw them at all the horsemen...

(((OOC: if the arrows were stopped by the solid barrier, wouldn't they have been lodged there and kill Kasei as he jumped through...... just pointing that out. Plus... I just made that huge post. Your response to it was a single sentence, and then you went and made your next attack. You can do better, especially if you say your trying to improve...)))

Junter dropped out of his charge as the arrows converged on him. How the hell?!? Never seen anything like that before...He collided with the ground and hefted his mace over his head for protection, hoping to deflect any arrows that came low enough to hit him. He was starting to feel a bit of fatigue. Mind you, only starting to, and only a bit--he would not be disgraced by any suggestions of weakness. In fact, he was sure that the sweat forming all over his body was caused solely by the heat of both the harsh desert sun and the fire, not the streneous activity they called fighting.

(((Thanks for taking Kasei's place Saber.)))

~The ranger took another huge swing at Lance's head, but he easily ducked under it. With amazing agility, the gerudo changed the direction of the chop and was pulling the flat of the blade down at the sheikah's head. The fencer didn't want to be struck by the massive force behind the blow, and rose his rapier while rolling the side. Unfortunately for him, the power of the ranger's attack broke his grip on the hilt, and though he escaped, he was disarmed. He swore in his native language, and looked around for anything that could help him.

The answer came quickly. Near him was the corpse of a gerudo guards-women, holding a spear in her death grip. He rushed towards the body, and picked up the spear, spinning around to find the ranger right behind him already. Lance, although he was unexperienced with the spear, brought it across his body in a swift slash, forcing the gerudo to block. At that moment, he saw Junter, being attack by a swarm of arrows and only narrowly dodging them. It seemed more prudent if they fought together.

Smirking at the ranger, he gave a mighty push with the spear, that betrayed the actual strength behind his frail limbs. Although sheikah were rare in hyrule, he was rare amoung the sheikah, not only in appearance, but in brute strength. As soon as he pushed, he started sprinting with his natural agiliy, easily passing the gerudo ranger, and soon nearing Junter's location. He chose one of the mounted archers as his target, and sped forward.

When Lance was within range, he leapt into the air, behind the gerudo and undetected, landing on his horse. He turned around in alarm, but it was too late, the spear already stabbing through the opening of his rough leather armor. Heh, you should've watched your back better. Unfortunately for the sheikah, not everything went as planned. The mount paniced and started to run forward, throwing Lance off balance. It didn't help that the spear was still lodged in the dead man's stomach, and he saw little choice but to jump off the horse.

As soon as he hit the ground, he knew he was in danger, open for an attack, and went into a roll. Two arrows immediately struck the ground where he had just been. With no weapon, and no time to do anything but dodge, it seemed like he had been rendered useless. Junter would have to handle the other two archers alone.

That left the ranger. Lance only just remembered him when he finished the roll, and lucky for him, as the gerudo was looming over him, sword hefted above his head. The sheikah stretched his speed to the limits, feet snapping up from the ground, and catching the man in the chest, pushing him back. He had survived one more attack, but without a weapon who knew how long he'd last. Lance prayed to the sage of shadows that the other mercenary would finish off his part of the fight soon. Until then... he rolled to the side, and the flaming blade sunk into the sand, inched from his face.~

Junter went with his momentum, coming up from his fall quickly, relieved that his maneuver had kept him alive. He lashed out with his mace at the closest archer and snapped the bow he was holding in half with a satisfying cascade of splinters. The heavy weapon's inertia pulled him into a spin, but he didn't fight it. He spun on his heel, his other hand reaching to a dirk he had stashed just above his buttocks. As he came out of the spin he loosed the blade, dispatching the archer with the hilt sticking out of his neck.

~A gurgle of pain burst from the archer, he clutched at his neck, trying to force out another breath, but to no avail. Instead of continuing to try futily, he whipped out his blade for one last attack. This was not to be a kamakaze charge though, for he did not have enough life for that. He simply chucked the scimitar at his foe, watching the blade whirl end over end in a seemingly endless cycle. Before he could see the result of his attack, he fell to the ground dead.

His fellow archer narrowed his eyes in anger. The bond between kinsmen was strong, and now the mercenary invader was going to pay in blood. He dropped his bow to the ground and drew his sword, readying his mounts for an attack. The mounted Gerudo had little choice but to attack, and rushed his horse forward. He had undone the wrap around the hilt of his sword, and now it was only attached to the very end of the hilt. He grabbed the end of the wrap, and then whirled the sword above his head by it in a sling like manner. When he neared his target, he lashed out, attacking with the blade like one would with a whip.

Meanwhile, Lance's predicament was worsening. The ranger's attack were coming at a fast in furious pace, keeping the sheikah on the ground, forced to roll from side to side and occasionally through his opponent's legs, kicking the Gerudo whenever he could. He was making very little progress though, and it seemed like he was going to be killed, so he decided to make a desperate move.

Lance rolled forward and leapt upwards, grabbing the hilt of the flaming sword just before it crashed down on his head. With all his strength, he pushed back, trying to force his adversary off balance while stopping to storm of attacks. This would hold off the ranger for sometime, but he would need either assistance or a weapon soon. He had no time to check to see how Junter was faring, but hoped he would finish off his own opponents soon. They were probably seasoned warriors just like this man, but maybe Junter would have a stroke of luck.~

The Goron mercenary turned swiftly as the curved blade flew towards him, hearing a satisfying thud as the blade stuck into the boulder on his back. He turned just in time to see the swordwhip hurtle towards him, and he twisted to the side, wincing as the blade clipped his shoulder. He grabbed the wrapping as the Gerudo mountee approached and yanked his foe off his steed and into the path of the trampling horse. If the pulverizing hooves made contact with the guard, then Junter would have one less enemy to worry about.

He pulled the scimitar out of his back and hefted it, looking around the battlefield. He saw his ally was in need of assistance, and knew that he probably wouldn't be paid if Lance died--especially since he would be hard pressed to finish the mission alone. He tossed the scimitar into the air, and caught it's tip between his fingers. Closing one eye, he sighted past the flat side of the vertical blade and flicked his powerful wrists, making the blade spin once and then cease rotating with the sharp side out. Hopefully that would be enough to get Lance out of his predicament, because Gorons weren't known for getting around the battlefield quickly. After hurling the blade, Junter hefted his mace in both hands and looked around for more targets, making sure not to be caught off guard again.

~As the gerudo fell off his horse, and watched stunned as it came closer and closer, a scream ripped out of his mouth, stopped only by his own steed slamming a hoof into his groin (mega ouch). After that he lost all consiousness, hoping that his comerades would fare better and keep their child reproducing abilities. ( )

In actuallity, his only other standing comerade was staring at Junter, wondering weither or not it would be worth attacking him. He seemed to dangerous to just rush at, so instead he tried to both lure the goron into a position where he could attack, and dry to dispose of his comerad.

He hefted his scimitar, and like oh-so-many people had been doing this battle, chucked his scimitar at Lance's body. As the two scimitars whizzed through the air in that direction, both Lance and the ranger turned to see them. For the sheikah this was the perfect distraction to get out of the way and retrieve his weapon. He rolled to the side, leaping towards the hilt of his blade, and came out of the leap in anothing graceful roll, rapier held out in front of him. He was surprised to see that the ranger had simply deflected the arrow with his arm armor, and had begun to advance on Lance once again.

With that, the sheikah decided it was time to regroup. This was not going to be as easy as the flamboyant mercenary thought. As he rushed towards Junter to begin fighting a real two on two battle, he could only hope that the ranger woundn't pull another nasty trick that would take them both down.~

Junter winced a little as the horse trampled his owner, but not out of regret, but just because of the horribly repulsive sound. He saw Lance run towards him and slid towards him, ready to cover any sudden strikes at his open comrade. As he stepped towards the mercenary, he slammed his foot as hard into the ground as he could, which is pretty hard for a Goron. Then, with a sudden jerk, he sent a cloud of sand flying towards the ranger's face. "Behind me." The Goron grunted to Lance as he crouched over and launched forward, rolling straight towards the vision-obstructing sandcloud with his mace held against his gut, so it stuck out on both sides to increase his reach.
