Azador walked a few steps back. He hadn't noticed the old woman; He had been fully concentrated on the fight.Arrrrgh... Azador looked at his left arm, which was heavily bleeding. Damn the witch! he thought She can hit pretty hard, but it still isn't something to worry about.. hehehe

"Hehehe..I might have...underestimated you.. but don't think that one of your attacks is enough to defeat me... the brute strength you possess...is interesting..you must have trained a lot...WITH THAT OVERSIZED PIECE OF JUNK..." He said with a laugh.

HEHEHE...LOOK AT THIS
"GODESSES, LEND STRENGTH TO YOUR PEOPLE, THE HYLIA, AND BLESS THY HOLY
SERVANT"
"FAVOR OF THE GODDESSES!" he shouted, then waited to see what the spell might do.

Azador's hands rise upward as he cries out to try and heal his wearied body...but nothing happens. "And it looks like the goddesses aren't going to be as kind to our friend Azador as they were with Sabertache!" Tarlen cries as the Favor of the Goddesses spell fails to activate (2+8[Roll+INT] vs. 15). Azador is left with no more energy than he started with.

And as the Mage's body gives up the fight to gain the goddesses' aid, the blue barrier he had erected around himself vanishes away. The Shield spell's effects have vanished, and Azador finds that he lacks the SPL needed to cast the spell again.

Sovelis sat a row below Kasei. "Azador has both Defensive and Attacking Magic, While Rose only has herself to depend on." He said to the Rebel Flame as Azador's Shield fell. "I might want to look that spell up before I have to go and fight." Sovelis was paying attention to both Rose's and Azador's abilities and styles, hoping to gain some clue on how he was going to fight them if he got to the second round. "Later Kasei, I'm going to the Library before my match, I gotta figure out how to make a Shield from magic..." He said as he disapeared into thin air.

The teacher's attack had thrown off Rose, but not long enough to noticed that Azador's healing spell had failed him. And his magic shield was also gone now. Thanks, Baris, she thought as she began another charge, following through with her vertical sword strike and then the horizontal knife attack [Dual Wield L1].

Rose's dual wielded blades rip through the air, heading straight towards the wizard as the Ranger once again attempts to deal damage. But an attempt is all that will come of it as her swords rip through nothing but air (8+5[Roll+AGI]). "And even without his shield spell active, Azador once again reminds us that he is not an opponent to be taken lightly!" Tarlen calls out as the crowd watches on in excitement.

cursed gods, they never cooperate with me! rrr.. mumbled he in himself

His cape waved in wind,
on both sides they stood quietly, Rose certainly waited for a counter attack.

'hmmm.her attacks arn't too powerful I'll survive another strike I think.
I still have a heal spell because of my hylian blood, I have no choice but to attack,
an easy fire spell won't cost too much strength and appears to be effective...

I..I have enough of you! he shouted. This fight will never end, if we go on like this!
I will finish this!

Azador began to chant:

"mighty flames of muspelheim, appear and rage upon this sacred land.
Destroy all that resist your lord Surtr

Now appear"
" FIRE!!!!

Again a fire ball appeared and it raged in Rose's direction

The flames shoot forth from Azador's grasp, hurtling towards the Ranger even as the force of the magical attack waves the Mage's cape in the wind. The majority of Azador's remaining spell power is channeled into the ferocious attack, but still Rose is able to avoid the brunt of the attack (16+2[Roll+SPI]), and only takes half damage from his strike. What would normally have dealt 13 DMG to the Human now takes out only a mere 6 of her HP, and what's more it leaves the spellcaster magically drained. Perhaps the goddesses had heard Azador's little quip about them and are choosing to punish him in this way.

"And Rose puts up an impressive defense against that onslaught of fire!" Tarlen shouts. "Let's see if she can strike down the wizard with the same degree of strength!"

Rose grunted as the flames licked her again, but her burns from the first attack seemed to lessen the pain. Damn, I hope he exhausted his magical power by now, Rose thought. Well, not much left to do now but hack and slash. Damn, if only I could shape shift! An owlbear would end this so much quicker.

Pushing aside thoughts along the line of changing her form, the ranger once again jumped forward, bearing her blades upon the mage, hoping that she would prove the more agile, despite having just endured another magical attack [Dual Wield L1].

Rose dashes forward, both blades drawn as she closes in for a volley of close range attacks on her opponent. Her blades fly forth swiftly and without mercy, slashing through the wizard with a ferocity worthy of the beasts that she wishes she was permitted to transform into at this moment (13+5[Roll+AGI] vs. 12+2[DEF+AGI]). "And what strength it is!" the Rito cries as he continues his earlier comment about the Ranger. Azador is hit by the barrage as Rose manages to slip through his defenses and deal a close-to-fatal 12 DMG to him.

damn the bitch... after years of training the magical arts it proves useless to just a random swordfighter? thought azador, he almost fell down of the the wounds that his opponent has given him.. I can't believe it I'm not even allowed to use my dark magic!
Who made these rules anyway?... I still have a low chance of winning..

"well there isn't much to do now anyway I will fight for my pride!" he yells
as he runs forward as he tries to give his enemy a bash with his staff

~Pyre had been watching the match with interest, even if he had come a little late and it looked like things were boiling down to a conclusion. Jarod didn't stand a chance, but that wasn't why he was here. He was here to gather information before his own match started. By watching what was going on, he could prepare for his battle with the victor.

By the looks of things, Rose was as strong as ever. She would be a difficult opponent to beat, but he wasn't dreading their match, if it did come. The tougher the battle the better, and going head to head with his fellow ranger would indeed be interesting.

One last thing to see though. How would Rose end this, and would Jarod make a comeback? He didn't think the latter was possible, but the match might draw out a little longer.~

Azador charges forward with staff held high, leaping at Rose with what very well might be the last bit of energy left in the Hylian's system. And this possibility becomes very near fact as the attack misses the Human Ranger completely (6+3[Roll+AGI]). Rose is almost effortlessly able to dodge the rod's strike, much to the crowd's delight. "And that might very well mark the end of this battle!" Tarlen cries out. "Provided, of course, that Rose can manage to get one final hit in!"

The onlookers eagerly await her attempt at getting the aforementioned hit in.

He didn't heal? Rose thought, stunned. Though not nearly stunned enough to dodge the mage's attack. Well, time to use this to my advantage. She jabbed her knife and sword towards Azador's shoulders [Dual Wield L1]. Just stay still. That's all I need you to do. The ranger hoped that the Hylian's injuries fogged up his brain to the point where he wouldn't dodge in time.

"Azador is the one we want," stated Wasp to Dagger. "Concurred," muttered Dagger back.

Unfortunately, Rose's hopes become anything but accurate. Injured as he is, Azador still manages to slide out of the way of her twin blades (9+5[Roll+AGI]) and escape further damage to his already weakened form. "Hold on everyone, we may have all gotten a bit ahead of ourselves!" Tarlen cries. "Looks like the wizard is still in this fight!"
