He looks pretty beat, Rose thought. He might be able to take another hit. Only one thing to do then. What the human ranger thought that one thing was was made obvious and she performed her usual knife hack and sword slash [Dual Wield L1]. She put extra effort into her swings, ready for the battle to end already [willpower=9].

OOC: Okay, now to introduce willpower. Every character has it, and it's up to the RPer when to use it and how much to use at once. To determine willpower, add a character's SPI and level, but willpower is capped at 9. Willpower can only be used to affect chance to hit and skill checks. Once willpower has been used up in a topic, you can't refill it for that topic ever again, so use it wisely.

(15+9+5>1+7 DMG 12) As Rose's final attack hit, her blades whipping through the air, but they hit nothing. The Skull Kid is back on the stump, his flute sheathed, and he takes off his mask. Behind the mask is blackness, with two yellow lights acting as eyes. If you could peer past the darkness, you would see a smile, one that waited a long time to be let free. "Thank you." he says, before dropping the mask, letting it fall to the ground around the stump. Taking his flute to his face, he plays a song, one that is filled with the sound of the forest, and the familiar tune of the woods that were lost. As the song plays, he slowly dissapears, the final note echoing through the trees.

Rose has won the fight.

Rose stood there, confused. Despite the injuries she had caused him, he had smiled and thanked her. Never mind that she never saw a face such as that before. She shook her head in disbelief, his song still in her head. Sheathing her sword and knife, the ranger walked over to the stump. If I ever see him again, I'm going to have to talk to him, she thought, bending down to pick up the mask he had dropped. She looked at it for a while before putting it in her bag. With one last look around the clearing, Rose continued on her way.

OOC: Well, looks like you got the basics of melee combat down. Good job.

OOC: Thanks. Not only that, one part of ole' Cojiro's life has gone past. Now, all I need to do is find some way to work on Douglas' story. By then, SH will be open.
