Great. A successful hit. He can't hold out much longer. It looks like he'll take two or three more of those... No matter. I cannot lose.

Hiro tore through Victor. A rain of blood splattered upon the wooden blade, drenching it in a horrible red color. Hiro stepped backward, obviously uncaring of the horror he had just done.

He'll be fine... I will not kill him. I am no beast.

Evidently Hiro was careless. In that split second of thought, that fraction of time, it was all over. An arrow embedded itself in his shoulder. Blood poured from the newest of his wounds as he was pushed backward. Hiro landed on the dirty ground and rolled a few times. He just lay there, blood pooling on the ground, and scarcely breathing. The King uttered a few more words, possibly his last:

"Nice shot, Victor."

The team of clerics rush out onto the field, moving straight towards the fallen King with all due haste - and probably even faster than is due. It would certainly look bad if Hyrule allowed another country's King to die on their soil, after all. But that isn't likely to happen; not only is Hiro a strong warrior, the clerics are expert healers, and quickly have him stabilized and close to being revitalized.

"That's correct, everyone!" Tarlen yells. "Victor Vir will be moving on to the second round, and after this amazing performance, who among us can possibly wait to see him again?! We'll find out soon, for this eighth fight concludes the first ro -" The Rito stops suddenly as another member of the group responsible for organizing the Grand Tournament comes rushing up to him.

After a few moments of whispering, Tarlen turns away and beams. "Or maybe it does not! It appears we've got two more last minute entries. It'll take a bit of time to get ready for this unexpected ninth fight of the first round, but I have no doubt it will be incredible!" He turns to Victor, motioning him towards the front row where most of the other tourney participants now reside. His voice drops down to normal levels. "If you want to take a seat over there, you can watch the other matches."
