"My friends Ashley and KiKi are going to help with that," Kayla explained. "You see, we are more ahead of time. 2067 to be exact. I have this little spiral disk back at my house that makes sure I can contact them. KiKi is currently learning magic under the command of her father. She'll be able to create a new portal if there isn't one already open. It seems like more portals are being open everyday there, from different worlds too."

This news of the future flooded Josh's mind with many new things.

"so, whats the future like? Does Hyrule still exist? Is there still a triforce? evils Bane? The Hero of Time?"

"Oh, my head hurts now"

Kayla giggled. "I thought that you would start asking questions. The future is very green. There is no Hyrule because Earth was destroyed and a new world called Norco was created, well, more likely was found. There is no triforce but there is something new that you might be interested in. No Hero of Time, but there are people called "guardians" and "protectors". There's more than one. There are more enemies, that's why there are six guardians and seven protectors."

Soteto coughed slightly. He was trying to warn Kayla that she was saying too much. Kayla smiled and looked at him.

"Don't worry, I'm done," she mostly said to Soteto.

Josh raised his eyeborw in suspicion.

"So, no Hyrule." Josh whispered to himself.

"So how did you reach this new world?" Josh questioned further

"You'll be surprised at what happens when you just walk around the open area of Kito Village. Last time a girl named Evanie fell out of a portal from the past." Kayla smiled. "Way in the past. You see, portals open all the time in the lands I have lived in. From times ahead and behind, same world and different."

"There's a lot of trouble to this though," Soteto piped up. He layed down on the grass and stared at the sky. "Because of these portals, people are afraid. They open unexpededly. It's scary what can happen. You would just be walking around and then find a land that you have never seen before. I really don't blame Evanie for fainting."

"You don't really need to believe us," Kayla said. "But then you might start wondering about Cathy's hair." Kayla sat down and smiled up at Josh.

I might beleive you, but this just seems unreal. I mean couldnt the goddesses just create a new Hyrule and a new Triforce?

But, since you brought it up, why does Cathy have hair?
I mean, shes the only Zora I know that has hair.
Is she from the future as well?

"No one really knows what happened to the goddesses. Rumors say that they were killed and then reincarnated. No one knows." Kayla shrugged. She sat down on the grass.

Soteto propped his head on his hand and said, "Yes, Cathy's from the same time as us. Kerokee and Kyle, two boys who are here, are from the same time too. A prankster that is friends with Kayla is here too. Basicly we are all from the same time. Zoras aren't refored as zoras in Kito Village. They are known as "water breathers". Since they have things of humans. Like hair."

"Soteto is a water breather himself," Kayla said. She plucked at a piece of grass. "But enough about us. I want to know a bit about you."

Me? Well, alright.

I come from a family of knights and paladins, we were called the Knighthood of Light, our perpose in this world was to defend Hyrule and the Triforce at any cost.
One day a great evil came to our village and slaughtered everyone, except me.
I was in North Forest at the time this occured, when I returned everyone had perished.

This is why I am not a knight like my ancestors. I am named after the founder of our knighthood.

But that is in the past, now I wander around Hyrule adventuring and going where ever I please.

So do all the races in Hyrule still exsist in your time?

"Most of them do, but they are mostly spread out. There are different regians to where each type of person lives," Kayla explained. "I grew up in a fighting village rather than where I live now."

"Are you going to tell him what you are?" Soteto whispered to Kayla, getting a hard jab in the ribs. He winced. "Dang princess! You can hurt."

Josh overheard what Soteto had whispered to Kayla.

Yes, what are you? Human, maybe Hylian?

Kayla just smiled. "I'm more than what I look like. I could be human or I could be a demon. You will never know."

Soteto started coughing. He looked at Kayla like she had just grown two heads. "I thought that you were just a forest sprite!"

"How do you know about that?" Kayla questioned, her mouth a gap.

When Josh heard Kayla say that she may be a demon, he tightened his grip on his sword, but then released it when Soteto said she was a forest sprite.

A forest sprite? Are'nt they usually tiny and with wings?

"That's a forest fairy. Well, in my time it is. A sprite is a combination of a spirit and a human," Kayla said. "It's the reason why I can't cut my hair. And why my eyes are a non normal green."

So sprites are part human?

This future of yours is much different from my time, and very confusing.
So, do any Hylians still live in your future, or did were they destroyed along with Hyrule? Said Josh sitting down in front of Kayla.

"Well, it depends on how you look at it, yes there are Hylians, but you need to double take to know who are and who aren't," Kayla scratched her head. "Um. . . Am I doing a good explaining?"
