As he witnessed the power of the very Goddesses he worshiped descend unto his opponent and heal his wounds, Victor cursed the three maidens of light. Wait... was it even possible to curse the Goddesses? Maybe he shouldn't anyways. Nevermind, then. He merely sighed heavily, as he realized that the battle he was about to win had just been extended for a good few rounds more.
In fact, the Bard even went so far as to exercise thoughts of surrender, but... what was the point of that? Surrendering, without even truly knowing the results of the battle? No, it wasn't worth it to Victor; he was either going to go down fighting, or winning.
Hold on, no, he wouldn't go down if he won. Scratch that.
Anyways, he decided to forge ahead, but this time with a more traditional approach. Pulling out his trusty bow and an arrow that he wasn't quite friends with yet, but might learn to trust in the future, he locked, loaded, and shot a shaft in the general direction of his opponent.
Meanwhile, he worked up a quick prayer - and slight apology, for earlier - to deliver to his Goddesses as the projectile whooshed, hoping that it might up his chances for finally ending this battle.

[10+1+3(Roll+Bonus+AGI) vs. 21] The arrow misses Pyre by a bit, and Tarlen finds himself rising further above the arena as the projectile clips his talon. "What a shot! Good thing our ranger friend is so quick! That would have done some damage for sure!"
