The adventurers who braved the perilous journey through the crowd to reach the cake were well rewarded for their efforts. As the delectable baked good slides down their throats, they are filled with an incredibly sense of power. It is clear that, like all its predecessors, this cake is filled with mass loads of TINGLE-Juice, or whatever that crazy dude puts in his cooking.

Hithos smiles warmly as they devour it. "Good, huh? Powerful stuff, that."

Powerful stuff indeed, powerful enough to make the defenders of Hyrule that much more formidable as they begin a new year of defending the Kingdom from those that would wreck it.

Upon entering the building, Nyre gets pushed into a line, in which she notices that pieces of cake are being passed out, feeling a bit peckish, she stays in line and awaits her turn.
Nyre takes the cake from the young girl, looking at it with disgust, but smiling and walking away with it. She sits down and places the piece of baked goods on the table, looking down at the piece of beautiful looking pastry, she feels her mouth water, its been so long since she had something...something that looked so... appetizing in her midst.

Looking up and remembering what the girl did into her piece, she shudders, but putting that thought to the back of her mind, she picks the piece of cake up and takes a large bite, right out of the middle.
Forgetting completely about the sneezey piece of cake, she gobbles up the rest, enjoying every last morsel, upon finishing the cake, and wiping her mouth. She sighs with a content sigh of relief and pleasure. She sits back and thinks.

Ahhh! The Grand Celebration! A magnificent event held yearly in North Castle that never failed to call attention upon itself from all corners of the land of Hyrule. Everyone knew about this large festival, held for a couple of weeks every single year as a means to thank the Adventurers that walk upon this land for all the help they’ve given to the kingdom and the people. It usually involved a lot of music – with Din’s Troupe rarely missing a chance to come and perform – and several games, sales, and overall merry disposition. However, as many would say…

Who cares about that anyway? There’s definitely only one reason I’m attending! – the hazel-haired youth affirmed to himself as he held on to a plate. Oh, but it was not an ordinary plate at all: it was in fact a very special plate. Well, it wasn’t the plate itself that was special, for correction’s sake, but what was held in it. For what the plate held was a very special thing indeed. “Ahh, I’ve waited a whole year to get another taste of this…” – he spoke, his mouth watering simply by gazing upon the festival’s specialty.

Ahhh! The Grand Celebration! A time of joy for everyone attending, but not because of the motives, nor the colorful displays, nor the several performances that filled the streets. For there was only one true reason to attend these festivities: the colossal cake that provided those that ate it a sugary, magical, Tingle-ing sensation. And that same cake was what had brought Tayro Wind here today. Licking his lips, he sunk the fork into the soft, creamy texture of the slice, cutting a small piece separate from the main portion and stuffing it unceremoniously into his awaiting mouth.

…this is heavenly.

It had all been worth it. All the trouble he went to bypass the huge line by tricking the unsuspecting civilians in front of him – making a green rupee look like a golden rupee through means of an Elemental Burst Light proved quite effective in that regard - all the germs he would be ingesting by having a taste of the contaminated slice (how did the woman even dare sneeze into such precious treasure?!)... yes, without a doubt, all these endeavors were worth this. Hell, he’d even go and face Dark Lord Ganon for a taste of this cake. Unable to resist anymore, the boy promptly devoured the remains of the slice in simple, quick motions, stretching happily as his stomach awaited the familiar sensation that he hadn’t felt since a year ago.

Or would have waited if cries of ‘but this is an ordinary rupee’ weren’t heard in the midst of the crow. Before anyone could notice who had played this prank, the youth had already secured his escape route and quickly dashed out of sight.

Sure, he’d face Ganon for the cake… but he really didn’t feel like dealing with an angry mob right now.

And even Azador managed to wade himself through the masses.
"It has been so long!" He exclaimed and happily rushed to the 10 stories tall cake. With his plate in hand, In his mind he could almost picture the exquisite pallet of flavors embracing every fibber of his being.
He accepted the cake and he stuffed the whole slice in his mouth.
With a few gnashes he swallowed it.
"Hmmph....not bad....but not what I had expected it to be...."
With a sense of disappointment he left the scene again.

Poking her head round the side of a building, eyes narrowed, and wary as a mouse, Chisalu watched the festival from the somewhat morose shadows. A celebration that outshone any others that graced this citadel, and Chisalu looked across the stalls with the eye of a practiced, opportunistic and fearful thief. She could see food being sold, which made her mouth gather with drool, and she licked her lips. Swallowed. She could also hear music, and as usual, she wondered if she ought to dance to it. Dancing usually afforded her enough change to purchase items legally.

Chisalu slipped her favourite knife out and examined the blade. When she said it was her favourite, to be honest, her meaning was that it was the current trusted lieutenant. Easily replaced, and often so, but she'd had no luck in replacement, and the blade was dull. Being attacked was not a normal part of Chisa's cautious existence, but the streets were dark at night, and even though the festival was (officially) for the mighty heroes that strolled Hyrule, she hadn't seen many for awhile. Nor had she become the temporary pet of any. Helpless really, was the word.

She needed a new knife, and for that she needed to save, and to do that, she needed to not be wasting her time purchasing food when she could easily snatch it. Her gaze locked in on a nearby food stand, examining the expression of the seller, deciding on the risk and-

Noticing the Giant Cake.

Now, it was very difficult to ignore a giant cake, for a start it is very big. Thus why it is called a GIANT cake. Another reason it is hard to ignore, is because it is famous, that it comes every year, and that everybody knows about it. So it's that time of year again? Already? Chisalu wondered to herself - time flew by very quickly it seemed, even when she personally thought the days could never quite find it in themselves to get a move on. Retrospect had its way of toying with people. Ah~ But the final reason such a large, and well-known cake is hard to miss is the smell.

Sugar has a beautiful scent to it, one that fills any child with deep, abiding affection, one that attracts anyone, in fact, to it. Chisalu was a child, she was also an 'anyone' and as such, she was keenly drawn to the cake. Perhaps most importantly of all was the fact it seemed to be free. But the line, was long, still that wasn't a problem for Chisalu. She would either happily wait her turn, patient to the last, or, more likely, turn bright hungry eyes upon an attendant, who would give her a particularly big sliver. And first too.

She took one glance at the lady giving out the cake, inspected the sneeze and the additions to the cake, and pulled a face. A particular unhappy face. Whilst a thief, her thinness gave attribute to the sheer finicky, hoarding nature of the young sheikah, and she was not going to be gobbling up, or even nibbling at a diseased slice of cake.

She went round the side; perhaps she could steal a slice? Then she gazed straight up the ladder at Quarter Master Hithos, and decided to try a direct source. The only trouble was that he was up very high, and probably would not see her directly below the cake. She gazed about the place, looked across the seething crowd, and sighed. That wouldn't work, he would just holler at her to check the lady handing them out, even if she cut the line, there was still the issue of the sneeze.

Slipping out her knife, she edged carefully to the cake and cut herself a morsel from it. Darting away as quickly as she could run, clutching the cake to her, the icing making her clothing sticky and messy, until she finally curled into a small corner, looking about carefully, ferally, and warily. Satisfied at her own safety, she licked her fingers and nibbled at the cake. Until she was jostled to the side and her messy, crumbled piece of cake fell to the floor.

Squeaking unhappily, she plucked it up quickly, but there were already bits of dirt stuck into the icing, and grit between some of the crumbs. Staring at the ruined cake, ruminating that this was a ruin of a day, she looked up to see people tucking into their perfectly fine, if sneezed-upon pieces with an intense envy in her eyes. "Aww..."
