His face still pale, Blank sits by the tree, rubbing the imprint on his palm. He glances up at Denning, returning from his escape from reality. He stands slowly, and walks to the cleric, at which time he grabs the box and hides it by his side.

I-I'll take it somewhere safe. There are too many people these days with the ability and the motive to resurrect any being. I'll... find someplace to keep it, and we'll never have to worry about it, ever again. The flute's gone. Hyrule will never hear from Blank Mid-Dao again...

Blank's face turns an even paler shade of white, a strange color reminiscient of the moon in a starless night. He backs away a bit, berating himself inside for his stupidity. He had not been told the Moblin's name! In his last sentence, he has has given away a terrible secret. If Denning, Alpha and Waddles had heard him, it would be open for assumption that he had had encounters with the Moblin in the past.

Waddles thoughts come to a halt at Blank's final sentence. He had been quietly observing the actions of his friends, having no opinion as to whether the flute be burned or the ashes be safed away. But at the mention of that name, curiosity is aroused.

"Did you say that the moblin's name was Blank? We never told you that did we? You're definitely hiding somethin' here Blank. Did you know this particular moblin? But that would be odd wouldn't it? Unless your past is more hidden than I have thought..."

Waddles gives Blank an intense stare, waiting for an explanation. Maybe this is just coincidential... but Waddles doesn't believe in pure coincidence. Fate is always a factor.

Waddles is entirely correct for believing that Blank's past may tie to the Moblin's. Blank's sudden mood shift, coupled with the last phrase uttered from his mouth, make it very suspicious.

I... I can't say. No doubt it's obvious we've met before... But, I can't tell any of you why, when, where, or even how. I'm going to take the ashes to the Town Square. The houses there are free, I can keep it safe in one of them. I'll, uh, see you guys, uh, around... Bye...

He turns and walks towards the Thicket, box in hand, still whiter than the moon itself.

"Well, that was weird, he stole my box and ran off! Something fishy is here, we should investigate..."

OOC: Feel free to investigate the house in the Town Square, once Hiro confirms that I own it :) Also, I believe that Maverick (My NPC in the courtyard) may have mentioned the Mid-Dao Moblins in his story. But, that whole thing takes place after this (since that was posted after "An Explosive Incident"), so it's good that no one had their charcters say they already knew. Whoa... long OOC, does that make sense?

EDIT : under further inspection, it turns out that the Scholar topic was actually posted before the Explosive Incident. Must've had my priorities all out of whack. Just for the record, this does happen before anyone meets Maverick.

OOC: Ah, my first post since I returned...feels good. :)

IC:
Alpha hears Blank utter the Moblin's name, and a degree of surprise flashes over his face for a second. 'Hmmm...guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Even if one's a Moblin, it'd be too great of a coincidence to meet two beings with the name of Blank.'

As Blank hastily flees the area, Alpha turns and walks back to his companions. "Some things are best left unknown," he mutters. "If you wish to investigate, Denning, then go ahead. But I have no desire to be a part of it."

The hooded Sheikah calmly begins heading back towards Rauru. True, he has just told a blatant lie; nothing thrills him more than uncovering a mystery. However, his thoughts explain all: 'Blank apparently doesn't want people finding out about his past. I know what he's going through; I for one can't afford to have people looking into my own past. If anyone found out about my relationship with Him...

Alpha shudders at the thought of Him, and quickly reverts his line of thought back to its original pathway. 'Well, at least now if someone attempts to look into my past now, I can use the fact that I refused to do so myself as a reason to stop them in their attempts.
