Lit and flickering did it land on the hilt of a fence, illuminating a soft smile that buried itself beneath Murray's large face and playfully small teeth that shown a hue of aged yellow beneath the glow of that lantern; it spoke of the limitations of life and tomorrow's flickering schedule that beckons for composure beneath the weight of sorrow. Where chickens must be fed and fences must be made to hinder the progress of darkened and sentimental evils.
"I found you your lantern."
Murray draped his arm over the girl, not allowing the weight to collapse her shoulder so that it precipitated an odd image where he buried the struggle he had carrying his own weight in the air while at the same time feigning the sentiments that failed the fall between his tapered eyes but spewed elsewhere from the nervousness of the situation.
"We all leave sometime." He said, the words garbled between the irony that sat in bemused concern from the cliffs that carved out his face's strained and difficult sadness.

Eberron walked up to Malon slowly, his bag seeming to way him down more then usual and his face almost completely covered bar his mouth and chin by the tilt of his huge wooden hat.
"Miss... I found this... lantern it's from..."
Eberron could barely get his words out, his body trembling from emotion. He had come to love the strange grass eating people that this girl deemed to look after. He considered them to be proud, wonderful creatures. Happy and free, eating as they pleased... He had been horrified to discover the fate of such a creature.
"She's... that's to say..."
Eberron was increasingly grateful for his father's hat at this point, as tears began to trickle down his face.
"She was very brave I'm sure. Please take this. I don't want to look at it anymore."
Now unable to hide his emotions, Eberron handed Malon the lantern and turned, his hands visibly shaking as he did so. Moving from person to person, he went amongst the dearly departed's fellow creatures and decided that it was his duty to inform them all of the exact fate of their friend. He knew that the language they spoke was mysterious and unintelligible to his ears, and that it was likely to be true in reverse. But perhaps a sense of his emotions would come across, and some understanding would be made. Even if he could not express it, he would never forgive himself if he didn't try.
