"So back to the original plan, then? Alright, well, I supose I could go first, I can shield my self from there things if the bridge colapses, of course, if some one else wants to go first, go ahead!"

Shada takes the lead, followed by Nogare, Tayro, and Grenada, and walks safely across the bridge. She turns to the others and waves them over.

OOC: Yeah, Nogare and Tayro both asked me to temporarily take their guys...again...I might've forgotten to mention that before...

Looking up, and not into the infested water, Denning walks as fast as he can across the bridge to the others.

OOC: well, im off for now, im hungry, and must eat...ill be back later!!

Rose wastes no time in following Denning across.

Raven races across the wooden brigde that is leaves some doubt in the minds of those watching if his feet even touched the bridge as he made his way across.

OOC: Just a few residual OOC notes...
Blank, I think the only other way to keep up (besides posting short posts) is to post after midnight EST. ^^ Not that one really keeps up with anything that way, though...

Oh, and good job looting the bodies, Raven ^^.

By the way, shouldn't it be alright if our characters "straggle" a bit while we're at work/sleeping, right? Give Alpha less to do, ya know... so he doesn't have to keep track of controlling several people? Just a thought.

IC: Arco follows the others into the new room with his head bowed as he inspects the small mesh bag of kumquats he picked up from the fruit bowl.

Like tiny, oblong oranges...

Eventually, he looks back up and at the room around him. And at the waters below. His attention returns to watch the first seven heading across the bridge. The Sheikah wonders about their caution... and then glancing back down at the water, he understands. Sort of.

What are those fish things?

You hear a small rip, and see Arco reach through a fresh hole in his bag of kumquats. Experimentally, he tosses one of the small orbs into the water.

uh-oh... kasei just dropped his favorite dagger, and jumped in to get it...

Arco's fruit is instantly devoured. It seems the Piranhells eat more than just flesh - they'll eat anything in the water.

Kasei finds that out the very, very hard way. He manages to reach his dagger, but is instantly swarmed by the Piranhells, each trying to take a bite every place they can find it. Shada rushes over and dares to stick her hand in the water to pull him out.

She succeeds, after having her arm bitten in multiple places.

Shada: 22 HP, 7 SPL
Kasei: 1 HP

OOC: I like the whole less work thing, Weien. I'd like it a lot.

Basically, what I had planned for this was that everyone is supposed to assume that, if they don't get a chance to post, their character just follows along with the actions of everyone else. That way there's no need for each character to explain what they've been doing this whole time.

...obviously no one else picked up on this idea XD...

"Honestly, Kasei, use your brain," Rose says, anger showing through. "We're not going to get through here if we don't think."

OOC: No, I had that idea the whole time. I went to a dentist appoinment a while ago. Notice I didn't say anything.

OOC: Thank you, Seijin! Can I just call you Seijin? That Hi no part makes it too long...

Anyways...let's continue.

God-modding alert!

IC:
Everyone slowly, but surely, makes it across the bridge. As the last person (let's just say...Blank!) gets to the halfway point on the bridge, he hears a snap. He turns back to look behind him and sees that the ropes holding the bridge up are beginning to snap. Running as fast as he can, he manages to get to the other side just before the ropes completely fall apart, plunging the bridge into the water.

It seems that the Piranhells don't just chew apart meat. Within seconds, the bridge is completely devoured, leaving no trace behind.

The current platform is shaped like an backwards L (it was an upside-down L from the perspective of the entrance to the room). It envelops a small pool of water that is cut off from the rest of the area and holds no Piranhells. But it doesn't go anywhere at all, so you might as well ignore it...unless you want something to drink. The water looks clean...

Anywho, there is that door to the right of where the bridge once was that you can take.

OOC: Cheers for the stragglers, alright!

IC: Arco's right foot was hovering over the bridge right when the snapping sounds began. Thoughtfully, he retracted his foot and took a step back. Actually, several steps back. It was practically aerobic.

He stands there with the others who hadn't crossed and wonders out loud, eventually:

"What do we do now?"

Shada looks around and merely shrugs. "I guess...we have to go through that door." After a pause, she adds, "But let's use this chance to rest up a little. I doubt anyone will be visiting this place anytime soon." She slowly scoops up a little of the water from the safe pool and puts it to her ruby lips. After a taste, she smiles. "It's delicious!" She quickly cups her hands and gets some more to drink.

OOC: And now...I must leave for a bit. Much as I'd like to merely straggle...it'd be kinda hard for the Event to continue without me *Pride-alert*. Carry on as you will; we'll travel through that door when I return. I have to run some errands, so it could be a while.

200+ posts in just over a day...we really are insane!

OOC: Oh, oops... I thought Arco and a few others were still on the other side of the bridge. Guess I missed the "everyone... makes it across the bridge" part. XD

IC: Arco relaxes, seeing as everyone made it across the bridge unscathed. Unscathed, that is, other than Kasei.

As he reflects on this, the side of his lip curls slightly in a rogue grin at the ludicrous indiscretion the mercenary had displayed just for a dagger... but vanishes very quickly. Somewhere along his travels he'd learnt that it wasn't nice to laugh at people on the brink of death.

Blanking this out of his mind, the Bard follows Shada's example and cups up a quiet drink. His eyes widen imperceptibly in silent appraisal.

OOC: Just wondering--the fruit and water we've picked up (including this water)--does it replenish HP/SPL?

Oh, and speaking of the 200+ posts... did I mention that last night I had a dream that I woke up to find that we were on page 31 of this topic? More like a nightmare XD.

OOC: You can shorten my name to Seijin. Others leave it at Hi no, while others just say HNS. But if you want, you can call me by two other names: Baris, who was Rose's husband, or Feet, as some call me (offline; I have never been called Feet online before. I await the day).

IC:
Upon seeing that the water was safe, Rose drinks some too. If only I had a water bag, she thinks. I could save some for later.

OOC: Okay, I like HNS. That's a good one. 'Feet'...wow, that's really wierd...

No; I didn't plan this stuff, but enough people RPed their characters' hunger that I threw it in there.

When everyone seems to have gotten enough rest, Shada stands again. Realizing that her braid had fallen into the pool - the Piranhell free pool - she takes a few minutes to wring it out before motioning towards the doorway. "Okay, is everyone ready? We oughta get going, then."
