~As Shadow launched his kicking attack, the lion moved to the side and lifted its paw, slicing at the swordsmen, and dodging his attack. The claw attack missed, and Shadow hit the ground unscathed. When Kumori attacked, the lion had no time to move, and his attack hit home, hurting the lion. The earthen construct had no time to launch an immediate counterstrike, allowing Kumori to retreat.~

Luna lept into the air and slashed at the lion's chest.

OOC: Sorry that was so short, my brain's running slowly today :p

Luna's blade cut into the Earth Lion's side as it tried to twist away from the assult. It was hurt, but only enough to be angry. As Luna began to retreat, it lashed out with a powerful counter attack which cut through the shiekah's defenses. The lion wasn't going to leave it at that. It sprang at Shadow, and swiped at the swordsman. The attack was too slow however, and the hylian evaded the lion's claw.

Luna knew that she was in trouble and quickly used her Shadowmeld skill to remove herself from the battle for a turn.

Kumori charged at the lion and tried to slash it again.

The lion watched as Luna slipped into the shadows. It stored that information for later. It saw Kumori attacking too late, and the fairy's dagger plunged into its stone flank. It roared in fury, but had no time to launch an efficient counter attack.

After dodging the swipe Shadow charged at the lion, cocked an arrow and shot at stony beast. He then jumped into the air and pulled out his sword. "Honorable Kill!" Shadow yelled.

The lion easily dodged the ranged attack, but didn't have enough room maneuver away from Shadow, for his back was to the wall. The swordsman struck the lion, and it roared in agitation, swiping out with its paw in a counter attack. The attack was weak though, and missed its target.

The lion then let out a sudden burst of speed, jumping over the small swordsman. It charged at the fairy, deadly claws leading, but midway through its attack, stopped, and slammed its claw into the ground. A spike of earth lept from the ground, crushing into the tiny fairy.

Kumori's eyes flashed a bright red as he let his anger consume him. The dark "glow" surrounding him grew until it was twice as large as before as he gathered all of his strength for another attack. "YOU....CANNOT....BEAT....ME.......NOW DIE!"
OOC: Kumori will attack next turn

Used to Kumori's strange outbursts, Luna did her best to keep the lion away from him. She reappeared in front of the fairy to shield him from any attacks that might interrupt him.

OOC: am I allowed to post yet?

OOC: yeah Kasei. Were just waiting for Shadow..... that slacker.

IC: kasei got up on his feet, and rushed forward,, at the lion, the mercinary then launched an arrow or two at the beast-thing. and then casts fire on the moinster. as a last resor t, he threw hjis boomerang at the beast, hoping to stun it, and fiollowed it up with three more arrows....

~Kasei's barrage was powerful, but the lion was not going to be taken down by shear number of attacks. It lept to the side, flying past the path of the arrows, boomerang and magic. While he was releasing the last arrow, the lion charged forward, mauling the mercenary with his front paws, a powerful counter attack that struck home, damaging the rebel flame.~

OOC: Damn where the hell is Shadow. I'm just skipping his turn if he doesn't reply by tommorow.

OC- sorry everyone for not posting yet. i was busy.

IC- "Hmmm what to do?" Shadow pondered to him self. His streak of double strike attacks seem to be working, but he was running out of ideas to land a strong sneak attack. "Damn it, what now? I can't use the same combo for the beast will be able to counter it. Damn, damn, damn,damn! Screw it, I'll just improvise!" Shadow then ran at the stone beast, jumped in the air and swung his sword at the beast's eyes, trying to blind it.

~What happened then was strange. The blade cut into the lion's head, and it shrieked in pain. Tremors shook the ground around it, and slowly the lion began to sink into the earth. At the same time, a piece of wall behind the statues began to raise up. It seemed like they defeated the earth creature.

Of course that conclusion was far from the truth. The lion actually lay in wait underground, awaiting its masters orders. It seemed there had been a slight change of plans, and the Earth construct was now a backup plan. Things in the temple were just starting to boil.

But none of the party knew about that. The passage was open, and looked like the only option was to move onwards, through the door.~

"heh, that was easy..." kasei says, then goes through the passage...into whatever dngers await him...
