Ambling into the yard, Ryou pauses to ponder the poor fate of the beloved bovine. Losing a beloved pet is always difficult, much more breaking the news. But she deserves to know what happened to her pet, no matter how hard it is to tell.

"Excuse me ma'am, I believe this belongs to you."

Holding the Lantern out with one hand, Ryou slowly tilts his head down and closes his eyes, allowing the meaning of the the object to sink in. With little more than a hint above a whisper, two smalled words are uttered, and his unhappy duty is complete.

"I'm sorry"

Mentally breathing a sigh of relief, Ryou swings away, and walks out upon the long road that leads ever onward.

"Oh...yes...thank you for the help," Malon says quietly, clearly shocked and a little stressed. "I hope she's in a better place now." She then returns to the field to sing quietly to herself.

Ryou has earned one TP.

"Hello, young lady, I found a lantern. Heard from an acquaintance that it belongs to you," said Huitzli.

He passed the small lamp to Malon, coughed, and held out his hand expectedly.

"Oh...yes...thank you for the help," Malon says quietly, clearly shocked and a little stressed. "I hope she's in a better place now." She then returns to the field to sing quietly to herself.

Huitzli has earned one TP.

A zora walked into the scene of the milkbar and the ranch spotting a girl. He walked up to her noticing something was wrong. "Excuse me, I over heard you say that you had a cow... I found a skeleton of a cow."

"I'm sorry for you." He then bowed after giving the info of her dead cow and walked away slowly.

"Hmmm...A missing cow? I'll get right on it." Anon said.

Later...

"Uhhh, Malon, I don't know how to tell you this," Anon said holding the rusted lantern. "I'm so sorry for your loss."

i am sorry for the loss of bessie you have my condolences here is her lantern

"Sweet Malon, I have found your lantern! I return with the most grieved news as well... your dearest Cow has passed on... she shall be missed." Nyre bows her head slowly and backs away as Malon realizes the horrible fate of her precious cow, Bessie, on the other hand, Nyre leaves Lon Lon Ranch with a newly equiped Item. The Lantern!

Hunter scratched the back of his head. Bad news was never good with him. Someone told him the owner of the lantern lived here, and he was hoping for a reward. But he guessed this was not the time. His awkwardness and the rusted lantern in his hand must have said it all.

Hello, i found a lantern out in the feild next to a dead cow....the lantern is related to this place, so i thought i would bring it back and tell you of the death of your beloved beast.

Upon hearing the worry in Malons voice he walks up to her with a slight look of sorrow in his eyes saying; " I'm sorry, but I believe your beloved cow has died. This was all that was left." While holding out the lantern .
