IC: " Maybe the metal will grow weaker after that burst" thought Alex, he felt that, being the only one able to breath under water and the one to activate the trap, it was his responsabilitie to get everyone out of the truoble, but they were running out of ideas...

"That frase is the key" he said, spreading his thought through the mind linking, hoping that everyone would notice it and try to solve it

OOC: OK, I'm make. What did I miss?

OOC: Umm... I did, but it was an accident... right? ... nevermind
Edit: I found out that if you translate as german to english, though not al of the words translate, the word flat appears a couple of times

OOC: Alex sprung a trap, and now the room we're in is slowly being filled with water. Since Alex is the only Zora in the group, he will be the only one to survive if the room fills up. There's a line in some language, and we're hoping someone can translate.

OOC: Er... Nogare and anyone else who ever wonders "What did I miss" again (yeah, I'm looking at you Kasei); you do know that all you have to do is read the posts that you missed, right? ^^ Piece 'a cake.

At the moment, the room is filling up with water from a waterfall, since we activated a trap. We need to translate the plaque above the door, so it wouldn't hurt to try... everyone...

Edit: Oops, Feets beat me to it. But yes, I just want to stress that even though we're not Scribes, we might have a chance to translate anyway, depending on how high Alpha set the bar.

OOC: That's it?! What language? Or does anyone know?

And Arco, uh.... I can't, really... I'm only on a bit longer.... I am... Guilty to say... ... I have a life. *covers face* I am terribly sorry... But I had to admit...

The water is now waist high.

Arco's memory fails him at first (11+3[Roll+INT] vs. 17), but he is certain that he has seen this language before. There is a good chance that it is, as the Sheikah suspects, Infernal.

OOC: YOU WHAT!?! Nogare, I'm ashamed...you should know very well that we don't want people with lives here!!!

Alex throws himself to the waterfall, bringing up all his strength to swim aganist the current...

OOC: *ponders* Well... very well. Can't expect one to have a life and RP consistently. ^_^ Just try a translate check and we'll forgive you; how about that? Every fragment helps!

Rules set:

To successfully translate something a character must meet or overcome a set check number, and then they get bits and pieces of the target language so that they can understand what it means.

Alex manages to slowly swim up the waterfall, but he does not see anything of note.

Shada rushes over and she too attempts a Translate Check. But she is soon seen scratching her head as well (9+3[Roll+INT]). She cannot understand it any more than Arco has.

OOC: Come on! One of you Hylians with a high INT try it! You stand a better chance than us Sheikah!

Arco hastily begins taking out little one-gallon ziplock bags and filling them with air.

OOC: Just kidding. It's just that the "refreshing-the-page-repeatedly" effect is settling in... maybe I should go do something else for a bit...

OOC: Is that a threat? Ok, I know Anceint Hylian, so... yeah...
Hey! This is easy; I already speak anceint Hylian Racially; only need a 1 to get it.

IC: Nogare didn't panic about the situation, but was still thinking fast. "I think this is Anceint Hylian! Let me see!" Nogare ran to the door.

Unfortunately for Nogare, it is not Ancient Hylian. Otherwise the two Sheikah would have easily deciphered it. Fortunately for Nogare, he does manage to see a few things in the words (16+6[Roll+INT] vs. 17)...looking at the words, he has the distinct feeling that "Ev" means "On", "frekk" means "third", and "Troke" means "Falls".

"On ges boors, third greeast ed ges posk gac ges Falls."

Nogare continued. "It can't be Moblinish; it's not as dark... Although it may be Infernal... I can't tell..." He consintrated hard...
