Water?
Tayro actually enjoyed swimming. water was nice. A flood, he's not so sure about.
"Come on, move over!"-the boy says, pushing Nogare to the side.
He then started to examine the tablet, trying to decode something from it.
Maybe the books from the Orphanage will help me here...

On ges boors, third greeast ed ges posk gac ges Falls

"Hmm... I wonder if..."

The water is above chest level. For several people, especially Grenada, it is time to begin treading water.

Nogare's attempt at translating more of the inscription fails (9+6[Roll+INT] vs. 17).

Tayro, on the other hand, succeeds miraculously (19+6[Roll+INT]). Remembering things that he has learned in his life, he can tell that 'ges' means 'the', 'ed' means 'to', and 'gac' means 'of'.

On the boors, third greeast to the posk of the Falls.

OOC: I'm back already!

IC: Nogare didn't mind that he was shoved away; he had more important things to think about. "If it's not Infernal, than what is it? We all know it's not common.l.. what other languaged are there? Gerudian? There's no way it can be Fey, can it? ... I don't know..." He got out of the way, in case anyone else knew...

Arco peers into Dogura's eyes, sensing that he's figured out a bit. He dips into the man's mind telepathically (ooc: That's really handy, Dogura!) and understands that three of the words have been discovered...

On... on the door? The third bar, maybe? From the right, from the left? Pull it, push it, twist it? And the falls will stop?

Arco thinks about this, and then shakes his head.

OOC: Since Alpha posted.

IC: The Bard gives it a little more thought, and thinks: maybe... on the wall, third tile to the right or left of the falls?

Alex starts looking for 'thirds', third bar, third leter, third block ... the fall
Alex pushes both the third block at the right of the fall, an then the left one

Rose wades over to Grenada, thankful for her height at last (OOC: She is 6', just in case you didn't read her profile). "Get on my shoulders," she says to the Deku.

As the water continues to rise, it becomes apparent that everyone needs to begin swimming. Alex's search to the right and left reveal nothing. The blocks refuse to give in to the Zora's force. Apparently, there is something that they have yet to decipher.

Still glancing at the tablet, Tayro doesn't give up and again tries to decipher its contents, as his feet can no longer feel the floor.
He is thankful for his swimming lessons, and searches his mind for extra bits that may help.

I think I know the answer already, yet I'll try to decipher this to be sure.

Waving his arms and legs in a circular pattern, Tayro manages to stay afloat easily, and now, being at a higher altitude, makes the reading easier.

OOC: i just saw weinew's post and realized that mine it's almost the same as his, OMG, now I'm gonna look like a copycat!!
By the way, if dekus are made of wood, don't they float? jeje

OOC: Yeah, I know XD. No problem though, great minds think alike. As for Dekus floating, if you've played MM... well, let's just say that they don't XD.

IC: Arco intercedes thoughtfully, and takes Grenada onto his own shoulders, as he bobs up and down, treading.

"No offense," he murmurs to Rose, his grey eyes still on the plaque, "But it's probably a lot less awkward this way."

Not that I'm an expert on Deku anatomy...

OOC: They kinda float...for a little while. But they eventually sink to the ocean floor.

IC:
Tayro's second attempt is just as successful as his first (19+6[Roll+INT]), and he soon comes to realize that Alex had indeed had the correct idea in mind when he made his attempts. 'Greeast' means 'stone' and 'posk' means left.

On the boors, third stone to the left of the Falls.

Rose nods. "It probably will be."

OOC: Okay, I just sent the Royal Guard a PM letting him know I was getting Speak: Ancient Hylian and Gerudic. Do you want to wait for RG to take note of it and drown, or should I go ahead and try and translate it?

"ONe word left, everyone!"-he yells at them, as he examines the remaining word.
Boors...boors... where did I read about that before?!
His mind wanders through many shelves of information stored, trying to find the meaning of the accursed word.
Tayro has no problem in staying afloat until the water reaches the ceiling, but he knows that some wouldn't be so lucky.
C'mon, for everyone's sake!

"On the boors, third stone to the left of the Falls, did you say?" murmurs Arco, still staring at the inscription.

"Perhaps 'boors' is referring to the 'floor'? Can someone dive?" He moves closer to the wall in search for something to hang on as he starts growing tired from the treading.

OOC: you mean Arco AND Alex, since Arco attempted to do the same

IC:"I knew it!" Alex shrieks as most of the meaning is revealed and he looks for something like a stone "But what to do with it?"
Then he hears Arco
"Why did you even bother to ask?" he says as he sinks until he touches the floor
"Just tell me when you decifer it"
