"Okay, Alex, you're out best bet," Rose says. "Choose a left from the Falls and do something."

The water is now three feet from the ceiling. Not much time remains...

But Tayro does not let his friends down. His mind finally recognizes the last word (13+6 [Roll+INT]), 'boors' and meaning 'bottom'. So now the entire sentence is deciphered:

On the bottom, third stone to the left of the Falls.

They just have to find the correct stone.

OOC: BTW, this was supposed to be Infernal. I really wanted SL here...

OOC: Wait, Rose--both Ancient Hylian and Gerudic? You realize that the plaque's language is Infernal, though, right? And half the people here can speak A. Hylian?

Alex quickly starts inspecting, everything looks the same, the only clue he's got is a something stone third to the left
He chooses a tile on the floor and pusshes it

Shada, hearing the full deciphered code, telepathically gives it to Alex. 'And hurry!' she adds to the end of it.

Alex swims up and then puts all of his falling weight in pushing that damned tile, he hears a crack "Was it me?" he thinks as he crashes on third tile to the left

OOC: Actually, my name is Hi no Seijin; Rose is my character. Unless you meant she can speak both? I'm just getting Ancient Hylian because in my fanfics, she knows it anyways, growing up speaking it, and in the academy (see profile) she learns Gerudic. Or can I not have both? And my brain is a funny thing, explaing the Infernal part. Sorry.

Alex goes unconscious after feeling the pain from his broken shoulder and floats to the surface his last thought is "Did I get it right?"

OOC: Ah, okay, sorry. As for addressing you as Rose, I just did it naturally, in the same way you might address me ooc as Arco, instead of "Weien" or "weienw." The language mix-up makes sense now, sorry about that. Oh, and kudos on giving Rose some talents that are purely/mostly for RP purposes!

The tile abruptly falters to Alex's charge. It falls inward, and the water rushes away as the panel covering up the hole slides back. The water falls through its intended exit, and within a minute the room has dried up almost entirely.

But the bars still refuse to move...and the reason is soon apparent, as another trial presents itself. All over the room, more of the stones fall outward and strange creatures emerge. They look like hybrids of crabs and piranhas...because that's what they are.

OOC: Oh, that's okay. I'd imagine it would be easy to confuse a character with his/her author, since some of the members (or do you call them players here?) share their name with their character. And part of my brain is down again. That last sentence wasn't sarcasm, was it?

*sigh*
"Whew... that was close..."-Tayro speaks as the water seems to dry out.
But his happiness soon vanishes, as three creatures made their lair in the room, and they're out for lust.
"Not again!"

Grabbing his staff once more, the Mage Apprentice lunges forward, aiming his staff for the creature. Unfortunately, not all goes well as he slips and falls due to the wet floor. Quickly getting up, and trying not to laugh from his accident, he again dashes against the creature, attempting to stab it.

OOC: First off, I would like to damn my poor timing. If I had known Alpha presented us with more monsters to fight, I would've had Rose attack them.

IC:
Rose immediately takes her boomerang and throws it at the nearest Cranhas.

Alex slowly wakes up from his unconsciosnes and tries to stand his guard but only manages to to hold one of the knives as his other arm hangs around lifelessly, but he now carries bothe the shield and the dagger

OOC: No, not sarcasm; it genuinely makes me smile when people purchase possibly useless talents because their charactor histories mandate it ^^.

IC: Arco had been looking forward to flopping back on the wet floor once the water had fully receded, only to have to pull himself to his feet as the Cranhas (ooc: nice ring to it) appeared.

Once again, his eyes deepen from a light, bland grey to the terrible darkness of a tar pit. The Bard's hands slip behind his back for just a moment, and reappear with a dagger in one hand, and his shield strapped to the back of the other. There is no shine to his next movement, only the spray of water as he sloshes around in a circle-strafe...

There! Bringing his dagger down and in, Arco takes two, three bounding steps towards a Cranha and thrusts the point forward, his body streamlining as he skids the last several meters towards his target.

OOC: By the way, are we still doing that RP bonus thing? XD
