*snore*
On this afternoon, an orange light bathed the whole of Hyrule. North Castle, specifically, was painted in tones of red, yelow and orange, making a wondrous sight for those whom it welcomed to its abode. The light was set just right for a romance scene, or one of hope as well. Unfortunately, today was neither - it was a scene of slaugfhter inside the chateau. You couldn't distinguish if the red colour was because of the sun or the blood spilt by innocents. This... marked the beggining of the war.
*snore*
Tayro, however, was oblivious to this as he slept quietly on a tent by the castle. Dreaming of his future adventures, or hoping to find a trace of his parents... only the goddesses know. And yet... they were probably frowning and crying because of the murder that was happening on the Castle, which filled with dread and horror any who saw it. Even the goddesses probably would. And yet... the boy slept through the entire drama. It was only when he heard the loud screams amplify that he woke up.
"Huh...? What's happening outside...?"- he said, still drowsy and unable to do any proper reasoning.
Putting his sleepy head outside the tent, he glanced right and left, and nothing was seen differently. He neither noticed the beauty of North Castle nor the disaster happening inside it.
Probably just a dream...
He was about to get back to his nap when he heard yet another scream. Now this time it couldn't be just a dream, so he left his tent. Now more awake, he examined his surroundings better, to notice the odd piece out, that before he couldn't zoom on.
"Why are the North Castle gates closed?" - he asked, not really hoping for an answer.
Trying to find the truth behind all of this, he walked towards the gate. Upon arrival, he shouted, hoping someone would hear him.
"Hey! Can someone open the gates please!!"
Not really believing a positive reply would come, he pulled his sleeves up, and, tried to climb the walls of the castle. Due to both his poor agility and the wall having no cracks to climb, his first attempt was unsucessful. That wasn't enough to stop him though. Grabbing his trusty staff, he decided to use his new learned ability, gained through his intensive training. That was the reason behind his afternoon nap - to restore his lost energies. So, he drew an archaic rune symbol on the air with his staff, and channeling all his magical energies stashed in his soul, he channeled them from his body to the glyph via his staff, as he shouted the incantation.
"Elemental Burst! Earth!"
A brown energy ball was formed in the tip of the staff, and, aimed at the floor, propelled itself against it, creating a small quake and a bit of land coming out of the spot, creating a type of natural stairs.
"Yeah! That'll do it!"- he said to himself, quite happy of the power of his new spell level.
Proceeding in getting equilibrium, he started walking up the stairs he formed with the earth, thus achieving his goal - getting isnide North Castle. What greeted him put him in a state of shock.
Dead creatures, at the hundreds, were lying down there. HE spotted a few familiar faces, but that was beyond the fact. The King had ordered an execution of the Exiles living in the castle, not caring for their innocence! Men, women and children, all were being killed.
He looked at the Castle Balcony, sighting the King watching with glee.
That demonic fiend! Why I ought to...
He quickly reconsidered, for everyone needs a leader to look up on to... even if it was evil.
He just stood there, watching with dread what was happening, unable to prevent it.
