'Good grief...' Alpha thinks to himself. 'Don't they realize I'm just trying to scare this thing into submission? I'm not going to kill it until I get what I need; if I have to scare it to death to get that information, so be it. Of course, there's no way I'm going to say that out loud. Once the Goriya knows that the information is the only thing keeping it alive, there's no way it'll talk.' He considers this possibility for a second. 'Although, in that situation I would get to kill it faster...'
Instead of voicing this opinion, Alpha says, "Alright, you guys go find someone who can understand it. I'll wait here, ready to kill it if it attempts to escape." He turns a malicious grin to the Goriya. "I'm sure there are others like you out there who would be willing to talk; don't think you're indispensable."

Looking at the Hylians hand, Denning speaks with a cold voice.
"Denning, Hylian, my name is Denning, cleric of the godesses, follower of the true king, o whom is your alligence sworn?

Victor drops his hand to his side, but his ever present smile fails to leave his face. Victor doesn't register Denning's cold voice, nor does he notice the failed use of his name.

"Why, I serve King Harkian II, of course. Lord of all Hyrule, you know. Are you not his servant as well?"

Before Denning can answer, however, Victor laughs and speaks once more.

"Why of course you are! I was only jesting. We all know he is the true king..."

"Ha, don't make me laugh! That fool is an impostor, a traitor of the true king, you would do well to change your allegiance, Hylian."
Dennings voice gets deep and most threatening.

Victor, despite Denning's clear implication, kept his head. No need to fight about a trivial difference in opinion. But, somethings cannot be left unsaid:

"Denning, it is you who should change your allegiance. As for me..."

Victor took hold of his ear and pulled it out of his hair for Denning to see. It was long, a clear example of Victor's point:

"I am a Hylian. I will not betray my king."

Letting go of his ear, he dropped his hand to his side once more; this time, making sure it rested on his dagger's sheath.

"I also happen to be a Hylian Knight. Now that I think of it... so are you!"

Swiftly, so that no one could see, he unsheathed his dagger and held it hidden in his hand. Not choosing to strike, he stuck it up his sleeve before it could be noticed.

"You are in clear violation of the Knight's Code of Honor. (OOC: By that, I mean the Rule Set definition of a Hylian Knight) It would be wise for you to change your mind quickly, before unnecessary actions are taken..."

Alpha looks upon these two in bewilderment at first. 'A Hylian Knight who hasn't sworn loyalty to the King? Interesting, to say the least.'
Somehow, something about the situation the two Hylians are in seems humorous. Making sure that his staff remains firmly on the Goriya's neck, he leans over to Julian. "Ironic, wouldn't you say? That two warriors like them are getting ready to fight…almost makes me wish I cared about who their loyalties are to, if only so I could join in the argument." He leans back, now staring at the two Hylians rather than the Zora. His voice takes on a wistful tone, as if he is talking to himself. "But, of course, I'm neutral. I don't really care who rules, provided that innocents are taken care of."
But his mind continues to think about one little thing: 'Who is the 'true king' Denning spoke about?'

"I enjoy a good fight. It livens up the senses, especially when they're fighting for something that they believe in. If a fight does break out how bout' we make a little wager? 5 rupees or so." Julian says as he glances towards the quarelling men. His smile shining in the deser sun. He quickly takes his attention back towards the goriya, the crook of his staff jabbing a little harder into the creatures neck. He makes a little chuckle as the goriya writhes in pain. Julian loosens up as he awaits the answer anxiously.

'Gambling was always my weakness.'

Alpha smirks at Julian's request. A soft laugh escapes him as he considers this. 'Gambling...never placed much trust in it, but it certainly is a fun way to pass the time.' He looks over at the Zora and grins. Whispering so that Denning and Victor cannot hear him, he replies, "Make it ten and you've got a deal. My money's on Denning."

OOC: Not that I don't think Victor could win...it would just be a lot tougher for him to do so.

"Ha, haggling my money are you? Well, fine then, I take the side of the bard. You never know the rookie might win." Julian says with a slight bit of enthusiasm. He ruffles through his satchel and throws down his rupees on the goriya's chest. "There you are my good friend. 10 rupees ready to double."

"So be it," Alpha replies, similarly dropping some rupees on the beast's chest. He pushes down slightly harder with his staff to make sure that the Goriya remembers that it's a prisoner; he doesn't want to kill it before getting information on Crascus Vihn. "Sure, there's a possibility that Victor'll win, but I kinda doubt it. I've fought Denning before. He was plenty tough, and that was before he re-fused with Deoxolips."

"I have no clues as to how this bard fights. Denning seems like a good fighter but his split personalties might clash in certain situations. Either way this could be a fight to remember if it ever does happen. You never know this fight may reveal some weaknesses in them both."

"I would have changed ages ago, yet I am wanted for of three hylians! I wont hesitate to make it four! My master is the true king, accept it Hylian fool! Your "king" will never be as mighty as the one I serve!"

Victor wasn't easily angered. He was a peaceful man, usually avoiding pointless quarrels. But he could not ignore Denning's words.

Victor came from a long line of Hylians. His father's family tree could easily stretch back to the creation. Loyalty to the king was in his blood, and therefore he could not stand for Denning's blatant lies:

"You are wrong again, Sheikah. If you are anywhere near as powerful as your so-called "king", then you would do well to step away from this battle..."

"Is this a threat? How pathetic, such childish speak, I grow tired of you...get out of my sight, and remember that your "king" is indeed an imposter."

Victor, now seething, could no longer withold his anger. He pointed an accusing finger at Denning and spoke.

"You, sir, are a hippocrate! First you speak a clear threat, and now you accuse me of childish acting? I think not!"

Then, he got closer to Denning, until their noses nearly touched. He looked menacingly into his eyes, and said:

"As for getting out of your sight, my business here is every bit as much important as yours. So if you want me gone, then..."

And with his final word, he pushed Denning slightly:

"...tough."
