Tayro continues the search, and finally, upon looking to the ceiling, spots a pair of Keese, who glare back at him. (14+3= 17 - Insight suceeds)

Keese's stats:
STR: 3
DEF: 2
AGI: 6
INT: 1
SPI: 1
SPL: N/A
HP: 12

One of the Keese wastes no time, and lunges at Tayro, the boy avoiding it at the last minute (4+6=10 against Tayro's 13 - FAIL), ending up colliding with the floor. Quickly it raises up, and starts to hover at the party's level. The other Keese just seems to be observing everyone.

kasei guickly stabbes one of the keese, then backs up, wanting to see nogare in action...

Kasei attempts to stab the bat creature with his dagger, dealing a certain blow, the Keese launching another screech, this time of pain, as he is hit for 8 damage. (6+5+8= 19 against Keese's 8 - HITS)

Attempting a blow of revenge, the bat dives in for a direct blow on Kasei's chest, suceeding in biting the man with sheer violence for 3 damage (20+6=26 against Kasei's 11 - HITS)

The other Keese, nonchalant, just continues his observation.

Kasei - 37 HP
Keese 1- 4 HP

Echoing off the bricks that made up the old waterway was another set of footsteps, just barely audible under the screeches filling the corridor. The source of the sound was none other than Victor, who had reappeared behind the group after having to catch up. Now panting, he rested for a moment before noticing that the others were having some pest control problems. So, taking out his bow, he loaded it with an arrow and aimed for the motionless second keese, pulling back on the string and then releasing it and sending the projectile towards its target...

OOC: Wow, I missed a lot. Sorry...

IC: Nogare, having been more of a wall Flower this whole time, he needs to kill them. He rises his staff. He's about to jump when Kasei jumps in his way. He sure likes to show off... Nogare noted. I don't like it. When Kasei ends his attack, Nogare is ready. He's about to hit a keese, but Nogare barely has time to avoid Victor's arrow, which killed it for him. Fine, I'll get the OTHER one!. He wasn't mad at Vixtor, but he'd been wanting to show Kasei that he was much more than what was visible. His staff ready, he stabbed at the keese. It was hard to see. He focused, and saw his target, and went for it. But, some of the group noticed that he didn't strain his eyes when he looked harder...

OOC: Don't worry - this is far from over ^_^

IC: After a small rest, Victor's ready for the show, as he shoots an arrow against the poor, resting Keese, tearing a bit the bat's flesh and life, more precisely, does 9 damage. (7+7+3=17 against Keese's 8 - HITS)

The Keese wants payback though, and darts of against Victor's neck, and suceeds in biting the bard for 3 damage(12+6=18 against Victor's 8 - HITS), before Victor shooes it off.

Nogare sees that this is the best time to land a strije on other Keese, and, after focusing, stabs the bat right on his head, rendering the finishing blow on the creature with 12 damage. (6+9+3=18 against Keese's 8 - HITS)

"Woo! One's down, one to go!"-Tayro excitedly cheers.
Not wanting to be left behind, the boy readies his staff, and, when the time is right, he swings it on the creature, hoping for some damage.

Tayro's staff strikes hard, finishing the job of pest control with 10 damage on the account. (20+9+1=30 against Keese's 8 - HITS)

Nogare vaguely smiled, and planted his staff on the stone floor. But he knew that that was not the biggest threat to come... He wanted to say something, to calm their suprise. But nothing came to mind. He knew it was no threat. He walked over to Victor. "How bad is your wound?" He knew it wasn't terribly bad, but he was wound all the same.

"Whew"-Tayro sighed of relief-"They caught us by surprise! Is everyone alright?"
Seeing all the party had was a few scratches, he announced.
"Let's keep going. I had a few hearts secretly stached in a room, so we'll be able to get it when we get there. Sorry everyone, but we should hasten."

The boy streched his arms out wide, then started running through the tunnel, the water echoes sounding clearer and clearer. Soon, the waterfall could be seen in all its splendor, water descending from way up high to the darkness below the bridge.
"Well, no time to stay and enjoy the view - we gotta keep going!"

As Nogare followed Tayro, once looking at the waterfall for a split second more, and continued with the rest of the company. He thought about the situation, and hurried beside Tayro. "I have just a few questions." He begins, his voice unsure. "First, how did you create such a complicated place in the rock of Parapa, and why didn't anyone know about this before? Peasants and wanderers should have easily found this place. And, not only that, but how do you expect 5 people to conquer a base, who are filled with monsters that cannot be counted. We should have brought at least a piece of the Hylian Army. You guys don't seem to understand that we are more powerful in numbers! There are definately outnumbered by 10, if they planned this desently. I mean, it's true that a few of us are well trained, but they conquered a base. 5 people can't stop so many. We are all below the age of 30. And why have a hidden base with no army. If the numbers are enough for 5 people to defeat, surely your army is couldn't have been defeated. And if you don't have an army, why have such a large base!" Nogare's temper was growing, but all the while, he kept his voice only to a hiss. Nogare was eager and intereted for Tayro's reply.

Guess I have no choice but to spit it out.
He sighed, and started his tale:
"Well, the waterway was finished befor I even was here. Somehow, the roots of the tree only move, revealing the entrance only to people who were already inside.
Some kind of incantation, I dunno. That makes the fact even weirder, because - how could I have been here before? I have no recall of it! The base was already built, yet had nothing in it. Well, on with the story. I am acquainted to the leader. His name is Helbastos, and he's a moblin. I know him from..."

Well, now I started it, now I must finish
Tayro sighed once more, and asked for the present people not to tell this to no-one.

"Well... I'm an orphan from the North Castle Orphanage. Helbastos once came to the Orphanage saying he was looking for a particular child, whom I still dunno who it was (OOC: Guess ). However, I didn' want him to take one of my friends, and set him up a trap, making him run off the Orphanage, he shouting at me saying he would have his revenge. And he did, as I was leaving my base, he and his gang grabbed me by surprised, and went in while the entrance was opened. They found no resistance. So, they occupied it, saying that this base now belonged to their great lord, whom I also don't know who he is."

"About an army, well, this was planned to be a place where me and my friends from the Orphanage could spend fun times, but still, I obviously couldn't involve them in this matter. And why do you think that I wanted to come before nighttime? I've been studying them, and noticed that their numbers during the day are quite more reduced, making it possible to go in. And if we manage to beat Helbastos, the gang will follow his master, and retreat. All we need is to defeat him. And sincerely... I tried contacting the Hylian Guards, but due to the fact that I'm 15 and that I'm from the Orphanage, they just scoffed and laughed at me, so no done."

Tayro extended his arms forward, trying to regain a bit of energy from the talk.

OOC: If you check my profile, you'll see that the orphans from the Orphanage are a bit rejected, due to the rumors that envelop the place.

Overhearing this comment James rushes up to Tyro and starts asking:Did you just say the leader Is a moblin? What color armor does he have on? were there More?If so what color armor did they have in?James then pauses and says:because if its a navy blue then they killed my family.

"WHoa!"-he said, losing his balance at James' sudden change of mood. Bombarded by question, Tayro held his hands high, signaling him to stop.
"Slow down! His armor is NOT navy blue! If I recall correctly... it was purple and black. Oh, and sorry to hear that. Me, I can't really feel sad about my parents since I never met them. I have no idea who they are... I was dropped in the orphanage almost at birth."

Tayro straightened up, and proceeded inwards in the tunnel.
"Enough sad stories for now. Now let's just hurry up and get my base back!"-he said, turning at the gang and smiling.

Looking at Tyro says:Sorry about that sudden chang in attitude.It's just when I hear the word "moblin" it gets to me.

Cloud puts his hand on James' shoulder.

I too, lost a loved one to a moblin.

Cloud sighed.

My sister was murdered by a drunken moblin, right before my eyes.

Cloud looked away for a second.

She was protecting me...

James look's at Cloud and asks: what color armor...was he wearing?
