Unfortunately, once again the turning of a handle springs a trap. With a bang, another set of bars fall over the door to the waterfall room. If you were to look at it closely, you would see a metalic box where a key could be inserted and turned, which would hopefully open it up again. But, since you have no key, that point is moot. Fortunately, neither of the other doors are barricaded; it seems this trap is just meant to ensure that they don't get any second thoughts and turn back.

On the other side of the doorway is a mere hallway. It goes on for about twenty yards before beginning a slow curve to the left that you cannot see around. A few torches litter the walls, providing light for the otherwise dark tunnel.

OOC: I just want to know...did anyone grab any of the items from that side room? I know Grenada's got two small hearts, and Raven has another small heart from earlier. I just need to know who's taken what from where.

Blank jumped in shock as the trap's purpose played out, quite literally. It was not so much a jump as it was a full out leap; Blank now had his back pressed against the door with a surprised expression plastered on his face. He looked like a child that had been caught by a parent while sneaking a snack late at night, and he even stated the typical phrase of that situation. "I didn't do anything!" Of course, that was just a panicked shout; Bank had expected an impending doom, or at least the appearance of more monsters. He wondered just how many freak creations Zaboorak could have made.

His shock, however, was replaced by relief when only the back door was sealed off. Not like we need to go back that way just yet, anyway. As he thought this, he recalled the opening in the Piranhell room; the one that was unreachable without sacrificing oneself to the deadly fish. If that led to somewhere important, we'd better find that key eventually.

The new room made the nomad feel uneasy. With only one direction to walk in, and half of the corridor blocked from sight, Blank began to sweat slightly. "I wouldn't be surprised if there's a sentry or two posted here." he said, stepping quietly into the hallway. Nevertheless, with only a single route to choose from, he knew that any danger would have to be overcome anyway, and so he proceeded cautiously down the hall, making the left and peering down the remainder of the corridor.

OOC: :D You'll never beleive it! It turns out the haircut isn't for another week! Haha!

IC: Nogare stopped his swinging and focusing as the trap set off. He aimed the sword's tip at the door as it set off, in case it was another Haikem. Being that it wasn't he lowered him weapon. After Blank spoke he said, "I suppose we're only left with one path..." He looked down at the other end of the hall. The entire area was dark, and hard to see. He looked to Shada, for her word to move on...

Shada slowly nods and follows Blank into the corridor. "Let's get going, then." You wish she sounded a bit more confident.

The corridor is about ten feet tall, and wide enough for three people to comfortably walk side by side through it. The torches give off a small amount of light, which reflects off the white walls and flooring to brighten up the hall a small bit.

As the corridor slowly curves around to the left, another wooden door comes into view. It doesn't look like anything really special...

Blank raised an eyebrow as he looked on at the newest door. Truth be told, he had expected a battle, a treasure, or at least something of interest. "Just another door..." he sighed, expressing that his hopes had been crushed. Although, he had had never really wanted a battle anyway. He was at full health, and intended to stay this way.

Quite upset by the endless series of corridors and rooms, Blank grabbed the door's knob and turned it aggressively, not even caring about what might lay beyond it. He had come to the conclusion that no amount of stealth would keep traps and Hakiems soldiers at bay, and so he strode quickly through the door.

As the rest of the people make their way through the door and into the hall, Tayro abruptly runs smack dab into an invisible wall! Somehow, a barrier is preventing him from leaving. As you look on in fright, words appear in the doorway:

'None of our life-granting items may leave this room.'

It appears that Tayro and the others will have to deposit anything and everything they took from the side room before they can leave.

The next room Blank steps into is quite interesting. It is large and dome-shaped, with white walls. The room is filled with water, but this time is so deep that you cannot see the bottom of it. The only dry land is where you walk - a white, ring-shaped, marble flooring that sits in the pool about five feet from the walls. This walkway is another five feet in width, and then water again. The room itself seems to be around 100 feet in diameter. The entire dome is mysteriously lit, even though there is nothing casting any light anywhere. But you can only see about twenty feet into the water below.

Two walkways connect the ring to the outer walls. One walkway leads to the door you just came from, and the other leads to a second door ninety degrees from your position.

Entering the round room the first question that comes to mind is: What's in the water? Kneeling down on the edge of the walkway he peers into the waters depths to see if he can make out anything of significance.

All that Raven can see in the water is a deep descent into darkness...

Following the others into the dome-like room, Tayro bumps against the door.
What in the world...?
Pressing hard against the passage, he soon understands that it is for no avail.
As soon as Tayro took off his hands from the magical barrier, some words formed in the air.

'None of our life-granting items may leave this room.'

Argh... that Zaboorak!
Emptying his pockets, dropping the jars on the doorside, he now goes through the door, the barrier no longer affecting him.
Looking at the Contents of the room, he looks in to the water, and tries to figure out how deep it is. Grabbing a little rock from te pathway, he throws it to the water, to see if any reaction happened, and/or to see how deep it was.

Rose looks in the water. "I wonder if one of Zaboorak's foul creations is lurking beyond our sight," she thinks out loud.

As Tayro's rock hits the water...nothing happens. A few small ripples are sent out, but that's all. The rock soon sinks out of sight.

Blank was dumbfounded by the water, but Alex, being a Zora, instantly decided to jump in and have a look around. He dove as far down as he could, searching for anything significant [Insight Check].

Blank, however, walked to the sole door in the chamber. "If there's nothing down there, we may as well keep going." Blank knew that he had not been paying close enough attention to the surroundings and elements of the Hakiems base, but all he wanted was to find Alpha - and perhaps some treasure - and continue on.

OOC: With all of the 90 degree turns in here, a map for this base would look pretty interesting indeed :)

"Hm... something fishy here."
The mage slowly turns 360ยบ, observing the room with extra care, to see if any traps were lying ahead of them. {Awareness Check}
Hmm... the light can't come out of nowhere.

He moved towards the next door, but just before touching it...
Wait. All traps before us were presented by the doors... I wonder...
The hylian retracted his hand, and started observing the doors for any odd mechanisms. {Yes, another Awareness Check}

OOC: Oh, trust me Blank, it is. I have a map which I am constantly referring to; maybe when this is all over with I'll see if I can get the scanner up and running so you guys can see it.

IC:
Alex's Insight Check succeeds (15+3[Roll+INT]). Diving deep into the water, he soon manages to locate a metal grating at the very bottom, about 50 feet down. It is entirely rusted over, and doesn't seem to have gotten any use in a long, long time.

Tayro's first Awareness check fails (5+6[Roll+INT] vs. 15), and he sees nothing out of the ordinary. His second check reveals nothing either (2+6[Roll+INT] vs. 15). No matter where he looks, nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.

OOC: Another one of those "Fool of a took!" moments, eh? Throwing in stones... -_-

IC: Arco enters the room with a sense of awe; circular rooms like this one are often created as examples of an architech's best work. The unique marble pathway, though... might prove to be slippery, depending on the design...

The Bard takes a few steps out onto the walkway and peers up at the ceiling, wondering how the light is working, before looking over to Blank and wishing him care as he leads them on...
