IC: After being spaced out for a long(long long...) time, Alex decides it's time for action; he starts out with his boomerang, he draws both knives and prepares his shield; then he starts running avoiding obstacles, until he finds his traget, he Jumps in the air , as he falls, he points both knives on the way of the tentacle (OOC: tenticle XD), streching as far as he can to gain space...
Not knowing even if his attack was succesful, he Jumps away from the extension of the beast, never letting down his defense stance

Well...uhhh...it should've been an attack on a tentacle, since it got in Nogare's way as he attempted to strike the eyes! Yeah, that's right! It was in no way because I was too lazy to read the post thoroughly!

Hey, I'm also getting tired of Dyquis merely knocking you guys around like weak little toys...even if that's what it sees you as...

Alex's strike obliterates the last of the fifth tentacle's HP (7+10[Roll+AGI*]), and it collapses into the pool to join its fellows...

Yeah...

GM? No, I was attacking the eye, hoping that the TENTACLE wouldn't hit me before I hit it.

lol! Trust me, dude, I missed a lot of it. I'm not sick... it's called Mentally Ill .

OOC: Okay, time to do something. Just don't let Dyquis head butt me, Alpha. I may have to hunt you down and head butt you.

Rose struggles up. She stumbles forward, but only a little bit. She figures that she isn't going to have enough strength to attack with her dagger, so she takes her boomerang and sends it off with a flick of her wrist. (Tentacle 6)

Does it work only when the Dyquis is out? Or also with the tentacles(tenticles XD)?

Grenada looks around, and when he notices only two tentacles remain, he perks up, 'time to finish this off', heads over to the closest tentacle(whichever, doesn't really matter), and then twirls his sword before jumping with a pose and a one-handed down slash, he wants to eliminate one. He hopes someone else will kill one, then they may be able to finish off the head before the tentacles resurface, he fears if they do, there may be more casualties, something he wants to prevent. This is when he remembers the hearts:

"Anyone in dire need of a quick heal?"

OOC:

No, I was attacking the eye, hoping that the TENTACLE wouldn't hit me before I hit it.

In case you haven't realized it yet, Nogare, the TENTACLE will always hit you before you hit it. But that got old after the second time it happened.

IC:
Rose's Boomerang propels itself into the sixth tentacle and on through it (6+10[Roll+AGI*]), delivering the crushing blow to that one. The boomerang returns to its owner just as the appendage disappears again. Now only the fourth tentacle remains...and it has only 1 HP.

OOC: Hmmm...it won't work on Dyquis itself, but let's try the tentacle!

IC:
Alex's Innate check fails completely (2+3[Roll+INT]), and Dyquis and its tentacle remain. But not for long. Grenada's strike robs the tentacle of its last HP (14+12[Roll+AGI*]), and it too disappears.

Dyquis rears up again, slamming its head down this time onto Denning. The cleric is staggered by the blow, losing 17 HP, though confusion does not grip him either.

Blank and Rose lose another 2 HP to poison.

Shada charges in yet again, her twin daggers flashing like fangs on a savage beast as she drives them into the squid's eyeball (5+14[Roll+AGI*]). Writhing in pain, Dyquis' eye collapses in on itself as it loses 11 HP. A pain wail emerges from its mouth as the beast realizes its eyesight is gone in its left eye...

Denning: 6 HP
Blank: 11 HP
Rose: 5 HP

Oh will you just shut up! Everheard of "Sounding out?" I'm not laughing at you when... uh... OK, you know what? I'm younger than all of you! I'm only 14! (Well maybe older than Kasei, but... ), so I am still allowed to spell Tentacles
wrong! HAH!

IC: Nogare landed roughly on the ground. "I think I'm starting to get the hang of this sword..." He looked around. Everyone was in even worse shape than him! He couldn't let them die! He needed to help them!... or should he stop the battle now by finishing off the beast? He thought through it quickly. I may be able to kill the beast, but my group will be dead long before! Rose was the worst, other than Link. She needed the most help. "I'm coming!" Nogare yelled over the mayhem. He hurried to her, and focused on his healing spell... He murmured his healing words.

Now was the time, as they brought down the last tentacle, Grenada tried to rally the troops for one last push:

"Let's slay it! One last push guys, do we want to see the tenatacles again?"

He asks in a rhetorical yell as he charges toward the beast with his sword straight out. He continues running to plunge the sword deep, maybe hit a vein or artery and send it where it belongs, the gates of hell.

OOC: Attaaaack! (literally!)

IC: Arco blinks in satisfaction as the last tentacle withers away. Tossing his dagger back into his right hand, he leaps--

Shada's attack seemed to work well

--and turns his body so as to strike Dyquis in the/an other eye. He stabs his dagger in with the alacrity of an electric sewing needle piercing towards old cotton.

OOC: Realize, that if Alpha just doesn't post for a while and everyone else logs on and puts in an attack, we win? XD

Alex gets a little pumped up after watching his failure at trying to calm the Dyquis, but as the last tentacle is brought down, he unleashes as serie of swift, fast stabs, guarding his distance
"Now we could use some help from everyone" he says as he holds his shield over as his head and getting away (retreating -_-') from the beast
OOC:Can I go underwater and attack directly? I know it wouldn't be fair for others but...

OOC: Sorry to disappoint, Weien. But my posting doesn't mean you won't win.
IC:
Nogare's Innate Check succeeds wonderously (18+4[Roll+INT]), and the Favor of the Goddesses activates, bathing Rose in red, green, and blue energy. The Human regains half or her original life energy, a full 16 HP.

Grenada's strike is aimed perfectly (1+12[Roll+AGI*]), and another 8 DMG is dealt to the vile beast. Arco's dagger nails the center of the eyeball with great force (20+13[Roll+AGI*]) and subtracts another 7 HP from its total. Alex's blows deal the same amount of damage (13+10[Roll+AGI*]), bringing Dyquis even closer towards death...

Rose: 21 HP, Poisoned

OOC: Alpha, since their not in the Rules Set, I'm just curious; in this, being that Nogare is previously trained well, do you think I could know some 'Passive' Skills? Such as Counter attack, Double attack, frenzy (two turns using will power only), healing poison (heals over time), and all that? Well, maybe not JUST me, but a few of them can be done by the will of the character?

EDIT: IC: Nogare looked as the beast was beginning to roar and cry in unbearable pain. Good ridens. Nogare looked up, and decided, to repay his knighthood, he would deliver the final blow. He got up, andjumped onto the squid, stuck to it by keeping his legs around it, and sank his blade into the beast, yelling, "Honourable Kill!"

OOC: Ummm...I'll consider it, but not during a stat-based fight. Everything done in a fight like this is subject to (my interpretation of) the Rules Set.
