Rugger looked the new man up and down and then laughed heartly at his comment.
"Pleasure to meet you Saber. Haha I would not say I am old, but I am a veteren you may say. Oh where are my manners, I have not introduced my self. Name's Rugger Cole, nice to meet you. So tell me friend, what is your profession?"

"Well I'm a mercenary of sorts, but I do a lot of odd jobs to keep the wallet full."

Rugger raised and eyebrow, 'Hmm seems we are getting more mercinaries lately.' He continued to look at the man and smiled.
"That is interesting, well I am sure you will find many quests and adventures to fill your wallet my friend. So tell me a little more about yourself."

"Well I name myself after my weapon." He started, gesturing at the sheathed blade he had strapped to his belt. "I said I was a mercenary of sorts because tehre are some jobs I just can't take. That's why I have to take the odd jobs in the first place. Although I've hunted down many, I've always been on the lookout for a certain band...a group of mountain bandits that ransacked and destroyed my village."

Rugger nodded while Saber told him his story. While different in some aspects, it was very similar to what the Dragoon has been through.
"I see. Well my friend you seem to have gone through some of the same ordeals I have. My village, as well as my entire family, was destroyed and killed by a group of Ganon's mineon Moblins. I survived and grew up with such hatred in my heart for Moblins that I killed many innocent ones. Luckily that hatred has found its way out of my heart...yet I do not think I can ever live down the sins of my past."

"Well then, it appears we have something in common. I'm sure with time you can find forgiveness for what you have done, I myself have done things I am not proud of, being a mercenary and all." He looked around. "I'm new here, I don't suppose you could give me some help on where things are?"

Rugger continued to look down as Saber talked about possible forgiveness, 'I wish it was so easy, the Goddesses have forgiven me...yet I cannot forgive myself.' He then looked back up at Saber and shock the thought from his mind.
"Of course, I am sure you have been to Hyrule Castle, east of here is Deku Woods, a vast forest that is home to a village as well as the Great Deku tree. Beyond the mountains there is Papara Desert but be careful if you venture there. North of here is Tantari Desert and if you head west from there you will be in the mountains where the Ruto live as well as Ruto Town. South of here is Death Mountain and more villages, however the way is blocked and we cannot venture there as of yet, but we are working on that."

Saber listened intently and tried to commit everything to memory...he would have to buy a map...
"Was there a rockslide or are the gorons trying to keep us out?"

Rugger pondered for a minute, 'Hmm that is a good question, I wonder.' He then shock his head.
"No I do not think the Goron's are trying to keep us out, there are many Goron's around Hyrule and they have mentioned no such thing. I believe it must have been a rock slide...or some evil forces."

Saber cocked his head and furrowed his brows a bit. "But...what business would 'evil forces' have blocking off the gorons?"

Rugger planted his sword and began to lean on it to rest his weary legs. He pondered for a minute and then shock his head.
"Well if it is evil forces, it may not be the Gorons they are after, they may be trying to keep us here...or planing on harming those in Southern Hyrule."

Saber bit his lip as he registered the possibilities.
"Well, hasn't anybody been sent to deal with this problem? At least a scout?"

Rugger nodded at Saber's comments.
"Well everyone is trying to figure out how to destroy the road blocks. I remember last time this happened we used a spell to break it but, no one knows that particular spell anymore."

Saber bowed his head in thoguht for a while before it snapped back up with an idea.
"But, with the goron's powder kegs, they should have been able to fix it easily right? So why haven't they?"

Putting his chin in his hand Rugger thought, 'Hmmm that is a fine idea, I wonder.'
"Well no Goron here has any powder kegs, and I am not sure about the Gorons on the other side. But I am sure if they had them they tried it."
