Hyrule Adventures 2

"darn, IO gota get more help!" kasei said, then starts running at nogare, daggers in hand, he casts fire for the last time, and flings the little ember ball at nogare...he then, when he got close, swung at nogare's head with his daggers, attempting to decapitate him, volvagia and mopha bothj sruck at nogare with their respective elements; fire and water, then each made a slash at nogare, ready to block his atacks...the moblins started a rush towards orpheous, the magi, and saber, spears raised...

Orpheous responed quickly, preforming a spin attack to cover all sides of him with his staff.However, he was far away enough from the others for them not to be hit.

Sovelis had been hiding. He was in no condition to be fighting, but if he didn't, people could die. (Remeber in my first post, Sovelis had a spell-marked bandage on his arm.) Leaping from the Shadows, Sovelis struck out at the moblins around Orpheous. The Tempest Blade sang through the air as it cleaved and severed."Hey Orph. Sorry to be late...I ain't feeling right." Said the Last Tempest.

The magi took slight notice of this, for they continued hacking away at moblins with their swords. However, Orpheous greeted him, without taking his eyes off the enemy, I might add. "Oh, really? Nothing much is happening, except we are getting our bodies thrown around like human rag dolls. Et tu(and you in Spanish)?"

OOC: I'm tired of showing stats. So trust me to show them as it is.

And one at a time, okay, Saber?

IC: The sickening, crunching sound of sword striking skin is heard, and the first of Saber's moblin falls to the ground. The other two who he attempted to strike evade the blows, and they tried to counter for their fallen friend. It was only thanks to Saber's agility and skill that he made it away from his foe (literally; he rolled a 17), and he leaned to the side to avoid being stabbed by the enemy's spear. The second foe came, which was not even nearly as accurate as his partner's, and, in fact, totally missed him.

Nogare had his attention at the grass fire, and faced Kasei's ball of flame, and tried to leap away. Quickly, he thought. Blast! I haven't used my spirit power very often! This may be very difficult. He focused his power, knowing that he could not depend on his physical strength to save him, and raised a hand. In defense, his power reached its limit, and he cried for Din's power as aid. And lo! his needed power was given to him, and a shield of magic, that which wasn't the shield spell itself, surrounded him, and went away (OOC:Holy crap! I got a 19 roll! I added my SPI to it, which is 9, and it was greater than 25 or 20, so I evaded it completely. That hardly ever happens!). And alas! the flames endured evermore.

And it helped no better when Volvagia's power reached the ground as well. He roared, and spat out the snake of fire from his tongue! He must have known well that vague power was being drained from him as this happened, but it mattered not if that were the case (OOC: Seriously, now Volvagia has 80 SPL, thus 8 more times he can breathe fire). This time, the knight was not so fortunate, and he was instantly surrounded by flames, his shielding power no more. But alas he resisted the pain, as though it was ordinary. (OOC: That roll was 5... >_>...) The grass fire seemed to burn into the sky itself.

But lo! Nogare knew what to do; he went beside the fires, seeing Morpha's watery tentacles swarming towards him. And the tentacle came fast - to fast for him to avoid! The grass fire stopped! When they were about to strike, Nogare back flipped and then rolled, the tentacles just grazing passed his hair. He landed, seeing the tentacle right before him. (OOC: Holy poop, this is even more amazing; Morpha's roll was 19, and which is also as much as Nogare's DEF. But Morpha has 5 AGI, as does Nogare! I'm pretty sure that that should be a hit, but I'll make it more interesting this way.)

But this was Nogare's chance! He pointed Belegcam downward, and thrust it into Morpha's wet tentacle, and blue liquid oozed from it! (That's a hit; a 13 roll for Nogare. Nogare caused Morpha 9 damage! )

That was when the moblins attacked the others; two on each of them, though one on each of the magi! The first two attacked Orpheous. The first of the two swung, and Orpheous parried it as he swung (OOC: No, serious, you're hit, but I'm making you sound cooler ), and counter attacked that one. As that happened, his spin attack was enough to come around again, and cleave through his thin armor. It made a deep roar of wrath and agony as it collapsed to the ground, clutching its wound before falling still like a stone untouched. The second came, which he also avoided, in fact swifter than the first (OOC: Though still a hit; just a smaller number ), but he could not counter attack at the moment.

The two who came at Sovelis were in for a big surprise. One slashed, and missed, as is the wont of moblins (OOC: The roll was a 19, thus striking you, but I'm making you sound cool, too), and instantly hurled his staff at him, stabbing the moblin in and through the left eye, his staff sticking out through the other side. The second came, and totally missed Kasei, and, in fact, missed him by at least forty five degrees! (Yep, that was a miss, Lucky you! ^_^

The magi each had a moblin coming at them. The first magi had a mindful attack, and was sure to hit purely. (OOC: Wow. the total chance to hit is 21 vs 5 ...) The side of the moblin's head was marred, and blue blood fell from the wound like a waterfall and a pale blue brain was completely visible. It fell to the ground, his eyes staring dizzily at his moblin-fit boots.

The second magi was attacked before he could attack first. The attack wizzed past the magi's throat, and missed him by a number of centimeters that could be counted on the fingers of one hand. (OOC: Seriously, this was tight; the chances were 17 vs 18, in place of moblin vs magi. Pretty tight...) The magi made his counter. His mind, however, was spinning from the chaos around, and wildly, without looking. For moblins, avoiding an attack is very uncommon, and this was uncommon; it's helm was shattered, and so was his brain. He fell as limp as one who had been pushed to the ground, but from above.

Then another volley came at Nogare, after recovering from the attack at Morpha. Five arrows...

Results... 4, 12, 4, 16, and 17. (OOC: A technical miss, miss, miss, miss, and hit.)

Nogare raised Belegcam, holding it up in a line going left and right as a rising block, which broke the first. The second he protected himself from by doing the same thing, but hammering his spear down rather than up. The third came, and he jumped at it, and kicked it in half, making it fall apart. The fourth came, and was far closer than the others, but was nevertheless dodged by bowing down, touching his knee with his stomach, then caught the final one out of the air, and snapped it in half with two of his fingers. It was coming fast, and it caused some minor pain in his arms, but overall it did not hurt very much - enough main to ignore.

IC: Saber regained his footing from the dodge and righted himself.I got lucky there, I'm glad Moblins aren't very accurate or I would be dead by now...I can't attack like that and leave myself wide open anymore.... Checking the surroundings, he saw Orpheous was having a hard time of it.

Okay then, I'll fight my way over there...but I have to get past these two first.... He turned his attention back to his assailants and went for the closest, whirling his saber twice in his hand to build up momentum before bringing it down towards the Moblin's legs; at the last moment, however, he raised the blade to shoulder level, to try and trick the Moblin if it attempted to block his attack.

Orpheous quickly recovered from the blow. He stagered for a bit, but he picked up his sword and kept battling on. He singled out his target. A moblin, as usual. He ran at the moblin and swung the sword at the center of the moblins body; thus, if it hit with enough pressure, the moblin would be cut in half. The sword reflected the sun for a split second, as if foreshadowing something.

One of the magi decided to go for a moblin's legs, and the other picked the leader of the pack of moblins. The blow was aiming for the head.

the battle not going in his favor, kasei attempted a kamikaze barrage, sort of like a reverse bombose madalion, flames were sent in all directions, taking upo all the mercinaries magical power, and easilly causing devastation to any who were hit. vovlagia flew higher into the sky as the flames spread in is direction, and morpha ducked, some of the moblins weren't fortunate enough, however, and three died... after the kamikaze barrage, kasei sank to the ground, all his energy spent, he cast a barrier around himself, by summoning morpha's water to him, forming a small wall...

Watching from a not so far roofop Raven views the events. He started watching the display of skill and might between Kasei and Nogare and continued to watch as the events unfolded. From the summoning of phantom ganon he knew this would turn into more than a simply grudge match.

The summoning of Volvagia and Morpha along wih 30 moblins was more than he expected. (He fought there woul dbe at the most 20.) He continued to watch as the small group fought against the many foes surrounded and towered over them. He watched until he could no longer watch. He blood boiled for action.

Before anyone noticed he was gone he arrived at the field of battle. He looked a the enemies around him and the impressionable sight of Volvagia and Morpha looming over him. Undeterred, he took out his dagger with a flourish and goaded the moblins around him. He then rushed at the moblin and with in a graceful arc swung his dagger at its neck.

OOC: Sorry about that Saber .

Saber's brief opponent was terribly fooled by his swift trick, and cleaved into the moblin's chin (Roll was 15). The sickening monster fell to the ground, struggling for a moment or so before it went limp. Saber had pulled it out, and his shining blade was now not it's original color, but rather red around the tip.

Sadly, the moblins were to stupid to avoid the blow of Orpheous, or even any reasonable blow at that, and still resist. This blow was a bit less powerful than that blow of Saber, but was still stronger than that of an ordinary blow. It slit the moblin's stomach, where there was a slit of unprotected skin, and the blue ooze spilled from him, slowly going lifeless. He squealed constantly, and was of no further harm, for his spear had been practically thrown from him, and too far from reach. Whether he was to die sooner or later was at Orpheous' mercy.

Three moblins with crossbows turned to try to shoot Orpheous, but that was when the flames swept. They tried as well as they could to shoot Orpheous, but none prevailed in doing so, and all missed in their misery. They then fell to the might of the flame (Results are 1, 4, and 16, so that's a miss, a hit, and a hit, but for the stats only, not the fight itself).

The first magi pulled his sword to his opposite shoulder, and hacked down, and the leg of the moblin came apart like a sword cutting wet clay. He made a savage roar, and before he died, he made a final attempt to kill the Magi. However, the man had pulled the sword out of the leg, and blocked the blow. The moblin cursed in Moblinish, and then fell limp.

The second Magi came for the leader. At the last second, the Moblin roared something in Moblinish, and then five archers came for the Magi. The blade of the Magi ripped through the face of the moblin, going out the other end. The sword glowed with blue.

(Results; Miss, Miss, Miss, Miss, and miss) The Magi grabbed the moblin leader's corpse, and used it as a shield. Arrows pierced the body, and some went all the way through, just barely missing the Magi. He then threw aside the twisted corpse.

Then all of the Hyruleans turned to see a huge wave of flame coming from Kasei. The first came for Nogare, for he was the closest. He gave a cry of warning, and put Belegcam before him. Somehow, the spear made the flame go around him, but still some flames struck him (19 roll, thus half damage, plus my SPI, makes me do half damage).

Three moblins turned and were burned to crisp before they could jump to safety, while the others leaped under rocks and stones.

Even as Sovelis used his magic to try to avoid the attack, it still made a powerful blow. Orpheous did not see the flame come upon him, and could do no[thing but look at the flame before being thrown off his feet, his entire body on fire. The first Magi summoned his strength, and had enough time to do it thanks to him realizing it previously. His own magic did not save him entirely, but did not make it as bad as it could have been. The second Magi, however, was not as fortunate, and was treated in the manner that Orpheous had been. And Saber, too, also came upon misfortune, and flames went through him, burning at his skin.

And Raven and Denning arrived just in time for this; Raven was quick enough to catch it coming, however Denning was unable to see it, But he had shot the Water Element, and was not burned, along with all the others. However, even Raven could not stop it from avoiding it like Denning, and he was had to cover his face to prevent himself from becoming blind.

The Water came at Volvagia, and by the time he realized it was coming, it was too late; water hit him, and he roared and shot his head from side to side in uncontrollable agony. This did not stop him completely, for his flames were more than Denning's water, and recovered, but it was enough to weaken him dearly.

OOC: Oh, Raven, there were 20

IC: Raven's dagger came upon the moblin's throat, and blood gushed out with the sickening Gsh!, and it fell, his throat with a thick slit through it.

OOC: Results!

Morpha: 51 HP

Saber smiled in satisfaction as the Moblin fell prey to his maneuver, then turned his attention to his remaining assailant. He dashed towards him and flourished his sword, the sun glinting off it's now reddened tip--and then the flames came.

He collapsed to his knees in agony, screaming at the top of his lungs. I'm going to die, I'm going to die.... yet somehow, he survived, though he was severely weakened. Looking up, he saw that his attacker had been one of the Moblins vanquished by it's ally's attack. Thank Din for that, I would be dead if it had survived those flames.... Getting up and looking around, he realized that Orpheous was still in danger--even more so! He forced himself to ignore the pain as he sped towards his injured ally.

Sliding to the ground beside him, he helped Orpheous up. "Are you okay? Just stay back, I'll deal with this. Here, patch up some of your wounds with this. It should help stop the bleeding...." He reached into a satchel and pulled out some poultices (OOC: These are kinda like bandages, except made with herbs and mud on some cloth. Also, this is just for roleplaying purposes, I'm not expecting him to be healed by it.)

After supplying his ally, he turned and gave the battlefield another quick scan. He saw that a Moblin had tried to sneak up on them, and skipping backwards to buy some time, he drew his saber and then launched himself forward, his blade's curved, blood tainted tip arching gracefullly towards the exposed flesh on the Moblin's torso.

OOC: Um, Nogare, Orpheous is Human.

IC: Orpheous loved to see the moblin squirm. They deserved it for their attack on New York(Since Kasei was alive right before our quest to Earth, and he dies here, that event happened before this one). However, when the flames came, he could do nothing. Orpheous clung to the ground, wishing that he was dead, rather than indure the pain. He would have been moaning in agony, but he remembered everything he had been through, and realized that he should've already died. The second Magi was in pain, but he continued attacking the moblin. The first magi decided to attack Morpha.

Orpheous got up, and accepted Saber's offer, and started patching up his wounds, attacking any moblins that came close. He also did his best to avoid the other two ancient demons' attacks(Morpha and Volvagia). "This inkweaver isn't giving up yet."

Seeing Orpheous hit, Denning decided to do what he did best.

Denning ran back from the fight a bit, and looked at Orpheous, he pointed his staff at him, and unleashed a bolt of light to him (Temple Services).

"Leave the bandages, I can take care of the wounds for the time being."

"It's ok," replied Orpheous, then looked down at himself, "actually, um, what's was your name, I think I am ready to accept your hospitality. My name is Orpheous by the way, I am an inkweaver, and I summoned those magi here out of a book."
