Hyrule Adventures 2

Keychain stumbled on the stairs, as if her feet didn't work right. Seeing Abel, her heart jumped to her throat. Words couldn't form on her tongue. Her face was bright red. Breathing deeply, she leaned against the wall, trying to get her heart to stop racing and her face to turn back to normal.

"I know, well, erm, I know how you, um, you, uh-" Keychain stopped talking, resting her head on the wall. "I'm bad in these situations. I'm dimwitted, and couldn't realize anything until now." Straightening, she turned to Abel. "Well, um, I don't dislike you, how about that?" She ran a hand through her hair, the ribbon falling out. "Oh, Goddess, I'm so horrible at this."

Face still deeply red, she went upstairs to find Sakiko and Zeze. "Supper is ready. We just need to get the chairs outside. There isn't enough room inside for us." Keychain went back down the stairs, not even glancing at Abel.

He must think I'm some kind of idiot, she thought, scowling at the ground.

"I guess she dosn't like me what was I thinking i'm an Hylian and she's human now she won't even takl to me what have I done."Abel walked downstairs hoping that he could at least help move the chairs outside.

Aqua had overheard him speaking to himself. She paused, staring at him with her eyebrows disappearing into her bangs. "What? Is that what you think? Oh, Abel." She placed the chairs that she was carrying down. "I'll tell you this to make things clear. Keychain isn't the type to jump to situations when they're available. She's shy, hesitant, and so horrible in situations that involve guys that like her. All you have to do is approach her. Just don't feel offended if she runs away. That is, if her face is red, then you shouldn't. If it isn't, then you should just give up."

"Come on, a few more chairs need to be taken outside." She picked up the chairs and started walking away like she hadn't given Abel advice about Keychain.

He began looking for Keychain as he needed to tell her that he wanted to begin a relationship with her. He still picked up chairs and brought them outside but that wasn't his primary concern.

"HHYYYAAAAHHHH!!!"

Zeze did a cartwheel and a flip in the speed of lightning, so fast that she appeared to be a blur. Sakiko clapped slowly, the look of blankness and nonchalance spreading across her face. The Bard flew down the stairs, her green eyes glowing. She ran outside to find Abel setting up the chairs, and jumped into the air with undying grace.

Sakiko, in the meanwhile, climbed down the stairs calmly, her silver hair swishing. Her mind was filled with Aureliano, and how he...and she...

"DON'T GIVE UP MY DEAR!"

Her head snapped towards the door as she heard Zeze's voice screaming this. She sighed, knowing all too well that Zeze was probably trying to encourage Abel. Saki shook her head, muttering to herself, "you're more likely going to disturb his peace of mind than to restore it....yelling on the top of your lungs like that..."

"Don't give up what?" Keychain questioned as she tugged a sleepy Jasper by the sleeves and had Mitchy clinging to her leg. She stopped at the sight. "Oh." Her face turned bright red. Keychain turned around to go back inside. Even if Jasper was still sleepy, he stopped the scholar in her tracks.

"Sit," he ordered, forcing her into a seat. She stared at him with her bright blue eyes, looking innocent like a young child. "Don't do that to me, Key. You're staying out here."

Alexander was setting the food on a separate table. "You know, we could use a bit of help with setting the food out here." He disappeared inside as Darren came out with another platter.

"Oh, I'll help--"

"SIT!" ordered Aqua and Jasper. Keychain sat back down, obeying their orders.

Mitchy took one seat next to Keychain. The other one was still open for grabs. Feeling like her face was burning up, and colored to a dark shade of red (maybe even to the color of her hair), Keychain placed her arms on the table and buried her head in them.

If he comes over here, I'll be a stuttering mess, Keychain thought to herself.

"Keychain? What's wrong?" Mitchy questioned, tapping at her idol's shoulder.

Abel saw Keychain considering he never really had an intrest in a girl however most girls he knew didn't have red hair and wern't cool however he wasn't sure what to say so he walked over to Keychain and said "Keychain would you mabye want to start um dating." considering Abel wasn't a big talker he really just had his head down for a lot of it becuse his face was turning red eventualy he lifted his head and looked Keychain in the eyes awaiting a response no longer caring that his face was red or the fact that for the first time in his life he was afraid he was gonna get rejected.

Keychain jumped to her feet. Staring at Abel with a blush scattered across her face, she tried to get words to come out. She only succeeded in blabbering words that didn't exist in any kind of language. Looking down at her feet, she mumbled something that even Mitchy couldn't hear.

"You'll have to speak up, Keychain, if you want to get anywhere in life!" Aqua shouted from the door.

"I said, you'll have to impress me first!" Keychain yelled. She covered her mouth quickly afterword, shocked. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I yelled too loud. I am terribly, terribly sorry."

Squaring her shoulders, she tried to look confident, strong, and feminine. She only got one out of the three. The desperation to not say anything wrong showed in her eyes, and she looked weak with trying to be strong. Holding a hand up with her index finger pointing up, she said, "One date, that will determine if things will go well or not. Got it?"

Abel let out a huge sigh of relif after she said yes he unveiled his shiney white teeth before saying "Thank you for the chance Keychain now I can only pray to the Goddeses that nothing goes wrong and if you would tell me the time and place of the date I can be happy to know that i have a date with a beautiful woman." Abel knew he wasn't lying otherwise the pain of lying after all Abel couldn't stand to lie. However that's when the doubts begin to kick in and that voice inside his head began to speak "You're an outcast you have never have belonged anywhere." a raspy sounded voice came booming out a figure in Abel's mind lurched out of the shadows. Abel just called him Capenter he was wraped in white gauss and had needles coming out of his head he wore a purple tunic and some black boots that looked like it had sombodys brain on it he also carried a scythe that would be beautiful mean after all it was studded with Diamonds and Ruby's but it was stained with blood and he kept count of his victims on his scythe by addining scratch marks on it.
"Carpenter why don't you go to hell" Abel said the anger booming in his voice.
"Already been their do you wanna go" Carpenter said trying to annoy Abel it didn't work . Abel snapped back into reality as he sat in a chair near Keychain no longer talking his smile gone he sat their and wondered if Carpenter was right.

"When and where, hm, I'm not really sure." Keychain pressed her lips together. "I'm not good at this, not at all." Her face was red from all the complements he gave her. "How about--"

"Tomorrow, lunch time? Take her out?" Aqua butted in. "Or do you think that's way too soon?"

Keychain jumped to her feet, glowering at her friend. "Butt out. You tried to help last time, but it went to ruins. I can handle things myself. Go finish up or something."

"How can I? Everything is out here," said Aqua. "Come on, everybody, dig in." She tapped the table, trying to get the attention of Zeze. "Hyper girl, aren't you hungry?"

"Actually if you don't mind I think that would be good." Abel said looking at keychain with a bit of smile on his face .

"You're a loser." Carpenter's voice echoed in the reccese of Abel's mind .
"Keychain is the only thing that matters right now i don't care of my tuberculosis comes back." Abel said with anger in his voice then he looked at Keychain and said "Do you think the time is alright.

Zeze glared at Abel, a look of protectiveness covering her face. She creeped up behind Key-Key and muttered with eyes that seemed to glare,

"If you do anything to my adorable cutsie pie..."

Sakiko crossed her arms, and flicked her finger slightly. Zeze yelled as she was being levitated towards the air, her eyes wide. However, being the most experienced of gymnasts, she was able to spin towards the ground with a small whish. Zeze whooped in delight at the sight of the food and began to stuff her face with incredible speed.

"Moof, fis if goof!"

Sakiko shook her head, wondering if she would ever mature. Zeze swallowed the mass in a giant gulp, and whispered to Sakiko,

"Saki, how 'bout we follow Abel and Key-Key around on their date, just to make sure-"

Sakiko whacked Zeze on the head unmercifully, and said calmly,

"Don't even think about doing such a thing. Idiot."

"Lunch sounds fine." Keychain stood back to her feet. Mitchy instantly grabbed for her hand. She walked over to the table that had all different kinds of dishes of food. She filled two plates, one for herself and one for Mitchy.

"Zeze, don't eat everything," commented Aqua before walking over to sleepy Jasper. "Do you think--"

"Don't even suggest it," he grumbled. "Keychain can do things herself. Going out on a date is one of them. We don't need to supervise or watch over her while she goes to it."

"I wasn't going to say that." Aqua leaned against the table and nodded her head at Zeze. "Somehow I've got the feeling she's like Keychain's mother and father combined." Jasper looked up from filling a plate, examining the girl.

"I wouldn't know," he said. "I never knew who were the ones to raise Keychain."

"Seventeen long years ago."

"Almost eighteen. August 23rd is coming up fast." Jasper sat down in a seat. Aqua stood up straight, gasping. "Don't tell me you forgot."

She glared at him. "Of course not! I just remembered that Keychain has a gorgeous dress hiding in the back of her closest! You know, the short, square necked, black one with small little jewels dotting around it to make it look like the night sky. Oh, she has to wear that on her date!" Something was thrown at Aqua. She turned around to see who did it.

Keychain glared. "I can hear you."

"Crap if this is formal i'm screwed i'm poor and don't have anything worth wearing unless. Sammi is a tailor she could make me somthing i'm not sure what but she does owe me after all I saved her life on three occasions." Abel got up and grabbedsome food sat down and said grace to the Goddeses then he began to eat slowly taking bites and thinking if Sammi could get the uniform done.

"That's just Aqua talking," mumbled Keychain. "Just ignore her. She doesn't know when to stay out of a person's business." She scowled at her friend who decided to sit across from her. "Mostly when it involves me."

Aqua pointed one of the utensils at her. "That's because you don't do much." She stabbed her food. Stuffing it in her mouth, she said, "Don't take any offense. That dress has been hanging around for almost a year. Keychain has grown so much, she had her sudden growth this year. But she still looks childish."

Keychain scowled.
