Shada grins from beneath her hood, and motions that she too is ready. 'Alright guys...let's go look for ourselves. We'll start in the kitchen.

'Just remember: act like you have someplace you need to be. Move at a hurried pace, and the Hakiems will probably let us pass without a second thought.'
She turns and leads them all down the stairway.

On the floor below, dozens of Hakiems scurry around, trying to search every corner for the prisoners. One immediately turns to look at them all as they come downstairs, asking, "Did you see them upstairs?"

Shada immediately answers with a curt, "No, we did not. Keep looking." She pushes past the man, giving him the impression that she has orders to keep moving. The Hakiem merely nods in conformation and returns to the search. Shada leads them to the intersection and motions in the direction of the kitchen.

Simple. Just like the Hakiems themselves. I wonder if there will be any food suitable for human, well Sheikah, consumption. I haven't had anything to eat since the campfire incident. Raven just patiently follows the others, his head down so no passing Hakiem can see his face. Although his hunger is starting to make him slightly tetchy.

Raven glances suspicously at Kasei, but takes the large berry off of him anyway. 'I guess some food is better than none.' He says looking at the obscenely large berry and quickly and rather noisily eats the berry. 'I can't believe I ate the whole thing.' He says his hunger greatly reduced and wipes the juice off his face with his Hakiem cloak before pulling up his red scarf to once again hide his face.

'What was that!' Raven grasps Kasei and pushes him into a nearby wall. 'What did you say about poisoned?' He starts to reach for his dagger, if he does not like the response he looks likely to use it.

'Be quiet, you two!' Shada commands telepathically. 'Wait until we're alone before you start trying to kill each other!' Walking forward, she pushes open the double doors that lead into the Mess Hall. Inside, everything looks exactly the same as they had when they'd left it...tables, chairs, and white walls. It seems this area has already been thoroughly checked for the prisoners, and there is no one in sight.

Still, it might be best to wait until they have entered the actual kitchen before dropping their composure.

'As soon as he tells me waht he was talkin' about I will let him go. But 'til that time Kasei is going to have his back to the wall.' Raven explains. 'Anyway, I can't see anyone, anyhow.'

That's no reason to abandon caution, Rose says telepathically. Men, she says so that only Shada hears it.

'Tell me about it,' Shada replies with a sigh, though only Rose can hear the words. 'I'm too used to people who are super-cautious...Master Zaris and Keyru would never put up with this idiocy.'

Yeah, men... sometimes I just can't stand it anymore, murmurs Arco sympathetically, in a mental whisper replying only to the two women. His face is focused on the Kitchen door, towards which they are travelling, and does not see Rose or Shada's faces in response to this telepathic comment. It does not occur to him that he wasn't supposed to have heard the last exchange...

This brings up one of the more confusing loopholes of telepathy that abound in cases of people who are given to thinking too much or too little. As Arco happens to fall into both of these categories, alternatively and simultaneously, he is essentially a minefield--or a "mindfield," haha--of such loopholes. Things like saying out loud what was meant telepathically or vice versa, or hearing things said in "tele-whisper" that were meant for someone else, or perhaps exclusively to one gender or the other...

Then again, it could just be the disproportionally active Jungian anima within Arco.

Shada arches an eyebrow in Arco's direction, surprised that he had been able to listen in on her conversation with Rose. She considers rebuking him for eavesdropping, but has to admit that Arco is a lot more like Alpha than some of the other members of the group in the fact that he seems to truly understand what they're up against.

Plus, he knows when to keep his mouth shut. Unlike some people Shada could name.

Shaking these unimportant thoughts from her mind, she walks forward and pushes open the door to the kitchen, pleased to find that there is no one is inside...although the area is incredibly messy. The Hakiems obviously went through every shelf and cabinet looking for the escapees, and were so worried that they'd escaped that they neglected to clean up after themselves.

'The coast is clear!' she calls to the group as her eyes finally fall on what they came for: a pile of delicious, mouth-watering steaks. And Shada's mouth does indeed water as she goes and picks one up, calmly slipping it beneath her robe.

Rose takes one and slips it underneath her cloak too. She has no desire to face a Morek.

any exits around here?

the place looks deserted..
on some tables some left over food was on the dishes...
just like the hakiems dissapeared in thin air...

on the right was a little door wich seemed a bit old...
I hope the exit is around there...
