ooc: please excuse this abrupt interruption from the newcomer! :) aaah not sure if I am doing it right...eek

IC: Rauru was an interesting town. Sakiko shivered as the wind brushed past her, and she wrapped her gray robes around her tightly. She tucked her silver hair inside her robes as she wandered aimlessly through the town.

She was about to pass by a house when the aura radiating from it caught her attention immediately. Sakiko turned around, and frowned at the strange sensation. She stepped closer, and stopped in front of a door. She wondered aloud,

"What is...this?"

Carefully, she pushed it open, surprised that it was open. She grimaced at the smell of alcohol, but curiosity took hold of her and she weaved her way through the living room. Sighing, she assumed this was an abandoned home. Sakiko turned to leave when she sensed a strong magical aura coming from the hall.

Sakiko let the strong magical aura lead her to its owner, but she had her hand clenched in a fist.. just in case something funny happened. Her footsteps echoed strangely down the hall as she felt the strong power coming closer.

Feeling a bit awkward and alone, and not expecting an answer, she softly called out,

"Hello? Anyone here?"

OoC: Does everyone think that Sovelis is a drunk? C'mon people! This is only the...er...second or third time he's done this!

IC: Sovelis walked past Russel, leaving Arrika to deal with their guest. He had heard a young woman's voice, their was no mistaking it. He walked down the long hallway and saw a young girl, with silver hair and wrapped in a gray cloak. Sovelis walked towards her, his mind ready to cause his body to strike at a moment's notice.

"And who might you be, so bold as to walk into my domain as if your the master? I didn't think that so many people would just pop up in my home at once....Reminds me of the good old days...." Sovelis said, holding his real hand out towards Sakiko. "My name, Is Sovelis...who might you be, my pale friend?"

OoC: Hey, that was good. And yeah, so far everyone whos come in said something about the booze.

IC:Russell grinned inwardly as Sovelis left to deal with another "intruder".

"So," he said to Arrika, "what do you see in that guy anyway? He has tons of mood swings, doesn't he?" Not expecting her to answer, he continued, "Hey, I'm just kidding." Rusell looked up at a nearby window where moonlight streamed in. "Have you ever seen the Tantari Desert at night, on a full moon?" He said a little quieter. "I do anything to get away from home, but when I see the moon at nights like this, I feel this weird longing to go back... But I can't. And it's not just because the parents don't like me." The mage looked into Arrika's dark eyes, hoping there would be a sign that could tell him that she would be the right person. A person who could understand and aid him in his plight.

ooc: eh, I just sort of went with the crowd with the drinking thing. heh heh

IC: Sakiko gaped, hearing the name.

"The Tempest?"

She paused, then gaped again. No wonder I felt such powerful magical aura coming from this place... Sakiko took the offered hand and rushed her words out in a torrent, half afraid that Sovelis just might vanish into thin air.

"I heard a lot about you from my aunt, I never thought I'd meet you though, she said that you were so powerful, I think I can feel that already..."

Sakiko choked for air, then shook the hand. She chuckled at herself inwardly; it felt as if she was meeting a celebrity. But then of course, that was only natural, as her aunt always used to talk about this person who was standing right in front of her. What would Opegaria, my aunt, do if she knew?

Sakiko blushed at her excitement and quickly dropped the enthusiastic handshake. Common sense took hold of her as she cleared her throat and began her apology,

"Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude... I wasn't aware that this house belonged to you or anything. I was just curious."

She frowned then tipped her head.

"But I sense other aura other than yours. Are there any other people here?"

"Yes. My two newest students, and some wandering mage...Am I already that famous? I haven't even left North Hyrule yet, and people in the south know of me?" Sovelis said, a surprised look on his seemingly youthful face. "And usually, when one offers one's name to someone, they expect that person to respond with their own name." he said, smiling at Sakiko.

Her aunt knows of me? Who else has heard of me in this world? I hope this girl hasn't heard the news of the warrant out for my arrest...She seems to think rather highly of me.... the Tempest thought, looking into Sakiko's eyes.

Sakiko blushed, leaving a red tint on her pale face. She muttered,

"Sorry, I was too overwhelmed with your name that I have forgotten to mention mine. My name is Sakiko."

The young mage held Sovelis's steady gaze with her own as she answered,

"My aunt used to travel a lot, and that's probably how she came to know your name...besides, Opegaria had a lot of respect for powerful mages... she was bound to seek them out one by one anyway..."

Sakiko winced, remembering Opegaria's lectures on magic and the importance of training.

"Look, would you please understand?" Asked Russell, his voice getting an almost desperate tone. "The truth is, my family and I are under a curse. I got a witch mad at me 2 years ago just for trying to talk to her apprentice, which happened to be a rather enchanting girl. I was just holding her hand! She caught us and chased me away, but every day I would sneak back to talk to the girl; I really felt something for her, not just a passing attraction, and so did she. Her teacher eventually realized what was going on and locked the girl in her room with many spells; one night with my rudimentary magic I managed to free her so we could run away together. In the end the witch cast a spell on me and my family; one of my sisters remains in a coma at home, a brother turned into a statue, my mother was turned mute, and I will lose my mind when I reach 21."

Russell clasped Arrika's hands in his own. "Please believe me, although this is all of a sudden and far fetched. I have done nothing but bring trouble to my family, and I know that if it weren't for my mother, the only relative I'm sure has truly loved me, I would have been cast out into the desert and disowned ages ago. There is a way to break the curse, though! I have to get another girl to fall in love with me and be willing to spend the rest of her life by my side. And not just any girl. The witch said she must have have hair like a raven's wing, with eyes like endless pools of midnight. Her heart must belong to Chaos, but she herself is sweeter and more beautiful than any rose."

Russell got down on one knee and looked up at the Sheikah with hope. "Please, Arrika, will you marry me?"

Arrika tugged her hands out of Russell's and looked at him strangely, and for some reason she had the desire to burst out laughing. "Is this a joke? I mean, I sort of believe the curse part, but you're asking me to marry you when I just met you 10 minutes ago?" The Sheikah frowned. "If you're so good with women, because I can tell you think you are, why don't you find someone else? I'll be there are plenty of girls with black hair and dark eyes." Arrika backed away a little. Of all the moments Sovelis had to leave her alone... "I don't even know you! And you're asking me to force myself to spend the rest of my life with a dirt poor mage horrible at magic? I can barely afford to feed myself, and you expect me to feed you while you sleep on a couch somewhere?"

"What? No! Please believe me! If you want we can start off small, how about a date to the Stock Pot Inn tomorrow night..?" Russell felt his chance slipping away and he started to babble. "C'mon! I'm not as horrible as you probably think, and with a strong girl like you by my side, I'm bound to change my lazy ways! I'll get better at magic and get you an even bigger house than this! You'll never have to steal anything again, because I'll be the one to buy you jewels and pretty clothes and... everything you could ever want!" Russell said, although he knew that it probably wasn't possible.

Sakiko looked around, staring at her surroundings carefully.

"So...do you think I can meet the rest of your...um, guests?"

She paused, then said hurriedly,

"Actually, I could just leave right now, sorry to intrude, I was just curious, but if you really don't mind, I'd really like to say, I mean--"

Sakiko blushed at her words. It made her sound like she was homeless or something, although she did travel most of her time. But it would be interesting to stick around, find out more about this powerful mage...

"Sure. It doesn't matter to me if you stay. I was about to ask the young mage who just showed up if he would stay here as well. I have too much extra space here anyways." Sovelis said to Sakiko, offering her his real hand. "Just follow me, and I'll introduce you to my students, Arrika and Seth." he said, smiling, and not knowing that Sakiko and Arrika had already meet.

Sakiko took Sovelis's hand with a grin, happy to be accepted. She said amazedly,

"Whoa, Arrika's here? She did mention that she was apprenticed to one of the most powerful mages in Hyrule, but I thought that she was exaggerating...no wonder she can do some amazing stuff with magic..."

The young mage shrugged and tightened her grip on Sovelis's hand.

"Alright, I'm ready for more amazement."

"Actually, I haven't started to teach them anything yet...." Sovelis said, leading Sakiko down the darkly light hallway. "So, you two have meet before... I didn't know that. Tell me about your home Sakiko. What is your aunt like?" the Tempest asked, leading the young girl deeper into his home. "How did she hear of me?"

OoC: Guess we'll just meet if we have to, Sakiko-chan, and just go with it.

IC:In a quick motion Arrika punched Russell in the gut and shoved him against the wall roughly, enough so that she was sure would knock all the air out of him. "Are you out of your mind? I said no already! So get lost and find someone else to be the princess in your fairy tale!" Tossing her black hair behind her shoulders, she glared. "Don't think I'm the kind of person you can win over with pretty things. Just because I'm a thief doesn't mean materialistic stuff is all I could ever want! And I would never go out with a guy who had the impression I was that shallow. Sovelis! Argh..."

Sakiko sighed,

"My home? Well... it was in South Hyrule, but you already seem to know that. I know this sounds strange, but... I don't have a very clear memory of my childhood, because I...have tried for the last ten years to block out my past, and I have almost succeeded, it seems."

Except for that one memory of the burning house....

"So, I don't quite remember my town name, except that it was small and everyone was my friend. My aunt, Opegaria, used to travel to North Hyrule on many occasions, especially to learn more magic and those things. That is probably how she came to know of you. She had this thing for powerful mages, like I said."

Sakiko shrugged, her shoulders falling down heavily. She heaved a great sigh and looked around the dark halls. It would've felt gloomy to most, but Sakiko felt at ease in the dim lighting. It matched her mood...perfectly.
