OOC: Damn it! I go away to play some dodgeball, and you all write this behind my back?

Nah, just playing around. :D

And how about being a bit more patient, huh? Alpha and I are in college now. As much as we love HA2, it's going to have to take second piority at times. Now let us carry on with the Hakiems' base.

IC:
"Damn water," Rose mutters. She wasn't too happy learning there was a door underwater. She could swim extremely well, and she could hold her breath for a long time, but there was no way of knowing if behind that underwater door was a room completely submersed in it. Then what Alex said got her thinking. Maybe there was some way to stop the waterfall, and maybe it could drain the next room some if there was indeed water in it. She starts to look around the room for some kind of switch.

OOC: Do I really need to tell you that's an Awareness Check? :D

OOC: Thanks, HNS. He's right, guys, I'm going to be a lot busier off-HA2 from now on. Though I'll try to stay on as much as possible...while still developing my currently non-existant social life.

IC:
As Alex attempts to open the door, the water forces it to remain closed. The power of the falls are just too much for even Alex to pull it open.

As Rose looks around, her eyes are unable to spot anything (10+3[Roll+INT] vs. 15). She is unable to spot anything that could stop the waterfall.

Alex pulled as hard as he could, but the door wouldn't move
"It's no use" he said as he came out of the other side "The presure of the water is keeping the door shut; I'm sorry..." he vagely said, feeling guilty for not being able to do his part
"But as I said, ther's gotta be a way to stop the waterfall" he looked down at the resting moreks "and maybe this canines got the answer" he hoped that everyone understood what he meant "It's very simple, you cast a seal and then put it into a creature and to destroy the seal..." he didn't want to kill the creatures that had just showed it's lightier side

Alex's Awareness Check also fails (4+3[Roll+AGI] vs. 15), and he cannot see anything more than what Rose had spotted.

OOC: I'd better try an awareness check too, eh? XD

IC: Arco watches the others search fervently and wonders if he should follow suit, until he realizes that enough people are looking under the same rocks over and over again to no avail. After a moment's pause and another glance at the Moreks, his hand slips into a small pouch on his belt. Something twinkles brightly as he withdraws his hand...

The Sheikah rolls the small item around between his fingers before holding it up: an Arctic Seed. He waits, examining the waterfall, and then takes a step forward.

"Alex, step out for a moment, please," he says dully, and then cocks his arm back. He waits for the Zora to move out from under the waterfall, and then exhales sharply, throwing the Seed at the area of the ceiling from which the water is falling. The small whitish-blue speck spins and shimmers as it moves through the air: poetry in a small, pregnant package...

OOC: They're called "arctic seeds," right? >< Sorry if I got the description wrong; maybe I should dig back to the post that describes them...

Edit: Nevermind; looks like you didn't really describe them after all. ^^

"Heh, sorry guys. No, I know we will not find a corpse, Alpha will be able to handle himself, hes a good fighter. I just, really want to hurry up and help him."

Denning watchs as the seed is thrown into the water.

"If this dosnt work", he thinks to himself, "I think sheild may help here."

by Nogare, son of Greyblade
Nogare wondered if he could be of help here. He looked at what he maay be able to do. None of his attacks or spells would help. Unless he could use his sword as an umbrella, which he already knew wouldn't work. He then called over to Alex, "Alex! Look harder! There must be a switch or something in there!"

Quickly getting into solid, dry floor, Tayro tried to figure out a way to block the waterfall.
Looking around, he observed carefully the pool before it froze. {Awareness Check}
If there's a switch, it ought to be there.

Pondering over any other possible ideas, the boy sat down and crossed his legs.
"I doubt the seed idea will work. It will only freeze the waterfall, creating a barrier on the door blocking our passage anyway. It would be like the door to the Artic Seeds when we were fighting Dyquis."- the boy advised, recalling the chilly, compact ice layer blocking the dor at that time.
His mind working like clockwork, he thinks of an idea, yet it would be quite risky, perhaps impossible.
"Well, Shada, you said that the goop the Moreks drop turns into a very solid material, right? I was wondering, when they're asleep, can we pick some of the goop to make a solid structure to stop the waterfall?"

"I could cast a sheild on the door, that may stop the water there from freezing, it is a little safer than getting that goop from the Moreks. But of course, I dont know if it will work."

Alex focuses on his sorroundings, nut especialy on the place from where the waterfalll is coming[Awareness check + 4 from willpool]
"I wonder how long will the moreks be sleeping"

OOC: FINALLY!!! I can't believe no one except Weien remembered the seeds.

Good work, Weien.

IC:
As Arco's seed flies upward and into the waterfall, a bright blue light flashes outward from it, filling the entire room with a color that is almost painful after being in the dark room for so long. When the brightness fades back to its original dark hue, the top of the waterfall is completely frozen over, creating a clear walkway towards the door.

Tayro's Awareness Check fails (3+6[Roll+INT] vs. 15), and he spots nothing of interest in the pool. Actually, contrary to his expectations, the pool remains in its liquid form; only the water near the fall's entrance into the chamber freezes.

Alex looked at how the waterfall froze, it happened in a somehow unatural way, but what matters now it's that the way was open
"Let's go everyone" he said, as he felt the need for adventure on his stomach

"Huh? That's odd... the water didn't freeze at all..."- Tayro muttered, unhappy at the result, as he standed looking at the passage now before him.
It must have some magical properties here, or...
The boy turned his head to the mutts who were now deep in dreamland.
Maybe it's their liquid substance?
Acknowledging defeat to Arco, but plotting a comeback, the boy was the first to step forward.
"Well, let's just see what the next room contains, shall we? I hope we don't run into a trap or a big mutated beast this time, though..."- the hylian says jokingly.
Taking his time, he examined the door for any traps of some kind. {Awareness Check}
After concluding his research, the boy sighed deeply, and taking a grip of the doorknob, opens the door to see its contents lying inside...

Tayro's Awareness Check succeeds (15+6[Roll+INT] vs. 15), and he successfully determines that there are no traps around the doorway. However, the Hylian does note that the door is made of a rare and extremely durable type of Deku Wood, no doubt to keep the waterfall from crushing it. Had Nogare's earlier tactic of trying to force the door down been employed (OOC: Or was it Dogura...I can't remember. Correct me if I'm wrong), it would have certainly failed and whoever had attempted it would have been greatly injured by the water's force, if not killed.

Guess what's beyond the next doorway! That's right...it's another hallway! Again, a hall that reminds you of the fact that you're probably underground stretches out before the group, curving gently to the left as it goes onward. The new passage is as dimly lit as the Moreks' room.

Alex tries to atune his senses to the new level of light, trying to zoom on the end of the hallway, having again the strong feeling of being underwater[Awareness check]
"It's just that I got this feeling..." he muttered "Uhm... never mind" he did not want to alarm the others with things that would probably not be true...[/i]
