Just great... ANOTHER hallway. Won't this ever finish?
The boy walked inside the room. Holding his staff firmly, he looked at what surprises would this corridor lead to.
This looks like those story books at the orphanage. The heroes go through dificult tasks, and when they're near what they desire, a big bad, powerful creature appears to block their way.
The boy shivered a bit at his thought, but continued his movement. Eventually, the hall would lead somewhere, and he was going to find out where exactly. Was the woman telling the turth or purely lying?
Those questions will be answered soon, I think.
The mage apprentice proceeded deeply into the room.

Alex's Awareness Check succeeds (14+3[Roll+INT] vs. 15). Listening carefully, the Zora is able to make out the sound of rushing water coming from further down the hall...and an unshakable notion that something is...snapping...

Tayro wasn't phased when he started recognizing water echoing, but he stopped as he heard a *snap*.
Grabbing his staff firmly, and walking as stealthily as possible, he motioned with his hands for the others to follow, as he walked silently forward, observing any move in the distance.
Another mutated big beast? I surely hope not, but it's a high possibility.
The boy gulped as he continued forward, trying to shake off the nasty thoughts.
Well, what could do a *snap*? Doors, shutters, crocodiles...
He pondered the latter option.
A creation of Zaboorak that has something to do with crocodiles?

Alex's mind quickly flashed trought all the beasts he met that could "snap"
Spiders, turtles, lanmolas...
But no...a Zaboorak's creation would surely relate a water based animal, so what could it be? Anyway, he grebbed his daggers and got ready to welcome any 'being that could come from the hallway
"I don't think we should wait here 'till it comes, let's go and face it ourselves"
he stopped for a moment, thinking of what could he do to encourage the others
"Let's hunt, instead of being hunted..."

As Tayro enters into the next chamber, his fears are settled...somewhat. There are no crocodiles in sight.
The floor in this area is slanted, descending as one moves to the right. On the left side of the room is a much larger waterfall, this one stretching across the room for about twenty feet. From the raised ground on this side is positioned a giant waterwheel, which spins round and round as the falls push it along the way. Fiery torches light up the entire area, two near the entrance, and two on the platform on the other side of the river flowing from the cascading waterfall, which bisects the room. On that side you can spot another two torches and a doorway.
And the source of the snapping? Well, the river is filled with Piranhells, and their hungry stomaches.

An idea quickly comes to Alex's head, just seeing the effects of the seeds a while ago, he grabs not just one, but three artic seeds and throws them so they spread all over the water...

not a bad idea! kasei follows suite, and thows in a seed...

The water quickly transforms into a thick bar of ice...and just as quickly, the water flowing down from the waterfall begins to flood over the platform's side, allowing the Piranhells a chance to try and eat the newcomers to their area. But, also rather quickly, the sheer force of the fast-moving water succeeds in cracking the ice and shattering it, allowing the water to return to its original limits before the Piranhells can take a bite out of anyone. As the fishies leave the water, they shrivel up and die just like the one that had bitten Shada earlier.
Shada shakes her head. "Nice idea," she says soothingly to Alex - not Kasei, just Alex. "Too bad it didn't work."

*phew*`
Great, no demented evil creature... yet.-Tayro thought, glancing at the door on the other side of the little river.
Seeing the ineffectiveness of the seed in this case, making the water rise, along with the piranhells, scared the hylian. Thanking the heavens for the water de-frosting and the water level descend, the boy let out a sigh.
"Those Piranhells almost took a bite out of us!"
Looking at the room, he thought of another way to cross the river. He stopped looking, as he examined the waterwheel. The mechanism... maybe if they stopped the mechanism, the water would stop flowing?
Wanting to test his theory out, he advised the others to stand back, as he grabs an Artic Seed he had acquired in the Winter Room and throws it to the waterwheel.
Let this work...

The waterwheel is quickly covered in an icy layer, but the bar the wheel sits on continues to spin around, so it keeps moving. Within a few minutes, the ice has melted and it is as if nothing had ever happened.

Okay... bad idea.
Seeing no good would come from freezing the waterwheel, the boy turned his sight to the room, trying to indentify anything of use. A rope, a switch... anything that would possibly let them past the river. {Awareness Check}
Seeing the carnivorous fishes snapping around was also not helping. Their sounds were fogging his thought.
Once again, the boy glanced the waterwheel, remembering his previous errors.
Since the bar didn't freeze, the wheel didn't stop. I wonder what'll happen if we freeze the bar...
As sitting and waiting wouldn't do them any good, the boy grinned, and once again tried a chilly tactic. Grabbing another Artic Seed, he aims, and throws it exactly to the bar, hoping for any kind of useful result.
Here goes!

Tayro's Awareness Check succeeds (20+6[Roll+INT] vs. 15). The boy doesn't spot any switches or ropes or anything that crosses the river except for the waterwheel itself. However, two other things of note are spotted by his young eyes. The first is that only a small amount of the cascading water is pushing the waterwheel, only pushing down on the edges of the wheel's blades. The full force of the falls is being wasted.
The second is much more interesting and out of place. On both sides of the small cave which the water falls from, Tayro can barely make out a glimmering of...metal? It looks like two sheets of metal...
As the Hylian's seed hits against the bar, ice instantaneously forms on it. Though the group can't exactly see it well, the holes in which the bar sits is quickly filled with the frozen water, resulting in the bar being unable to move. With the bar unable to move, the wheel is also unable to move. It creaks to a stop, and the water does not exert enough force on the blades to even come close to cracking the ice. The group should have no problems crossing the bar.
OOC: I made that a little obvious, didn't I.

OOC: A tad bit.
IC: Rose immediately crosses and opens and looks at the doorway, checking for anything out of the ordinary. [Awareness check]

Well, Rose certainly doesn't open the doorway. It doesn't take an Awareness Check to see the bars that cover the doorway. Just like two floors above, there is a small hole for a key near the doorknob. Anyhow, Rose's Awareness Check fails (1+3[Roll+INT] vs. 15), so she doesn't notice anything else.

OOC: Hmm, you said nothing about bars, or I wasn't reading carefully.
