Alpha's footing falters as the ground begins to shake beneath them. "Not good!" he calls out as he turns to the source of the crash they'd heard, already having a pretty good idea as to what has caused it.

Inside the chest there is a staff, different from the deku staves available now, and a thin metal tunic.
A large statue seems to have fallen onto the end of the bridge. It takes up the the whole bridge sideways and stands about 12 ft. tall.

Looking back, Victor saw the large statue sitting at the end of the bridge. Cursing under his breath, he let go of the chest. Then, grasping his dagger in his hand, he inched towards the statue...

Alpha looks back as Victor approaches him and the statue, armed. "Uh, I think it's just an every day statue, Victor," he says. "It's just an annoyance, not an enemy." He walks over and tries to push against it, hoping that his assumption is correct and Victor's is wrong, rather than vice-versa.

The closer that Victor inched to the statue, the more that time seemed to slow down. Yet nothing was happening, at least, statue-wise. The churning crescendo'd but was loud suddenly with 6 leevers popping out of the ground and surrounding the two. They circled around slowly as if taunting them.

At Alpha's comment, Victor shook his head.
"There's nothing 'every day' about this place."
Then, as he realized the statue was, in fact, not a threat, Victor relaxed. But just as he was about to correct his last statement, the leevers appeared from the ground. Giving Alpha an "I told you so" look, the bard moved towards one of the leevers and slashed at it with his dagger...

"Oh, stinky-dink!" Alpha yells as the Leevers suddenly appear as if from nowhere. He catches Victor's look and frowns. "I was talking about the statue! I didn't say there was nothing else here that could be dangerous!"
As Victor attacks, a thought strikes Alpha. 'Hmmm...I wonder if the mask can help us now...' He reaches up and gives the spinner a quick twirl. It lands on an orange panel, and Alpha watches as a mighty wind suddenly rises from nowhere.
OOC: Yeah...I'm thinking that Autumn's power could blow some of them away...could that work MG?

Raven who had decided not to cross the bridge as the land space seemed to be rather limited was glad he hadn't when he saw the statue come crashing down. The only problem now was that they were over there and he was stuck where he was not able to help them.
Raven paced up and down the side of the pit looking to see if there was something that he overlooked when he first came in.

The leever makes an unpleasant noise as it is slashed, taking 7 DMG. After this attack, two go below ground, and the other 4 keep circling.
Alpha's turn.
OOC: I don't think so, they are half-buried so that seems to be a little extreme, but I like how you are thinking.

OOC: Oh well; can't say I didn't try!
IC:
'Well, that didn't work,' Alpha thinks as the wind continues to blow about him, gripping his cape and forcing it back behind his shoulders.
'Let's see how they like this!' Gripping his staff in his hands, he charges at one of the other Leevers and brings his staff down with a powerful
*WHACK!*

Another unpleasant squeal is procured as this second leever is hit. It takes 7 DMG. The other two leevers that had burrowed pop up and deal 7 DMG to both party members(Alpha 46, Victor 31).This time, all the leevers stay above ground.
Grenada walks over to Red and asks him what he thinks we should do.
"It doesn't look like we can get there, what's your advice?"

Victor grunted as the leevers attacked, but he shook off the pain. Taking his dagger in hand once more, he lunged at the leever he had hit before. "Hopefully, this will kill it" he thought...

'There's two things that we can do: one; wait here until they find there own way back here or two; try to find something that looks like it might move that statue and get them back onto solid ground.' He explains 'So I suggest we get searching.'
OOC: Sorry guys but I've got to go. Great quest so far MG. Let's hope we make it through alive.

OOC: OK, thanks for showing up, Red. We'll start again tomorrow. I doubt we'll do too much more since it would just be the two of them.
IC: The leever this time doesn't absorb the hit, it dies. There is no loud noise, only silence, as it sinks into the earth below. One leever burrows under ground this time.
Alpha's turn.

Julian: "eye-candy"... priceless XD.
Alpha: "Oh, Stinky-dink!" --totally made me laugh, haha.
Just finished absorbing this thread's proceedings so far; are we stopping for today? *currently wondering whether or not an apologetic 'why I've been away' thread over at NCC would be good, or if he should just jump right in* ^^
