It would be nice if there was someplace with a list of every item! Except Quest Items like the Deku Wood, as people need to search them out on their own. Another nice idea would be to have a page explaining things like quests and moving around the world. It took me a while (and multiple chats with Weien) to figure that stuff out.

I guess one way I could get my exp and Rupees is by contining with the 'training of Raven' series of events. The problem is I don't want my character to be a social one, he doesn't like big gatherings of people...
Ah yes, I can see how that would be a problem, seeing as how much threads have... other people in them. So I guess you would have to get creative--maybe create a new account which is "Raven's Conscience/Imaginary Friend" with whom you'll make threads that Raven and his Conscience (etc) have conversations in. You'd note that "please no one intrude, please." That'd be one way to bring the Thief up to par ^^.
I don't see many giving away until they know what the next set of equipment will set them back. With the L1 armour starting at 40 Rupees it looks like we will need a small mountain of rupees to keep up to date.
True, the amount given away would be affected by the availability of items wanted, but even now I know that at least one person has offered to donate and another has RP'd a donation (I think)--though whether that was a real transaction I don't know. And currently I'd be willing to do it, with the sort of Faction thing explained above. Probably because Arco doesn't really need much equipment at the moment besides an instrument (or any SPL-boosting items in the future, etc).
The TP system seems to be working out well (and though I have yet to check) it doesn't seem like we have any overpowered characters like we did last time
I agree totally. It seems that even if someone did have tons of TP and mastered a weapon and maybe a couple of stats as well as a special skill, he wouldn't be much more than... twice? twice as powerful as someone just starting out. Though more experienced players seem to have more talents to choose from, of course...
If I understand correctly, we need both the TP purchase and the scroll to cast a spell, but at the magic shop there is a scroll entitled fire, yet I see no fire talwnt in the rules, am I missing something?
Yes, you need the TP, as well as the scroll if the scroll is availble (otherwise, just the TP will suffice). And while Fire is available, Narrator mentioned (somewhere) that that's just a placeholder for something else to come in the future. Hope that makes sense.
(Aside) Not every spell is listed in the rules. The rules only cover new spells, or major revisions to old spells like Elemental Burst. It would be nice if there were a complete list of all spells somewhere.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that the Talents Book in the Rules Set indeed is the comprehensive list of all spells and talents--you can't go off learning, say "Splash" or something like that, on a whim. But other spells (e.g. Fire, I'm guessing?) may pop up in future revisions of the Rules (though who knows?).

Well, yes... we did have a good list of every item (with cost, stats, location to buy and everything) back in HA1. Though, it's relatively not that bad right now ^^. Just wait until South Hyrule is opened up, and we really get rolling with updates (hehe)! But you're right, having somewhere that very clearly explains how quests (with clicking on the pictures) and Events (e.g. Ghoma and maybe accompanying Dungeon?) work would... probably be an asset to new players.

(Aside) Weien's right about the items. Wait until more areas open up!
Question: When does the Royal Guard update his view of the quests that are open to see who needs to be awarded TP? What's the update rate on that?

Umm. He usually does it about once a week but it varies from time to time. But for faction registration it takes a little longer. It took my friend about two weeks to join the hylian knights and it took me about a week and a half to join the blind's gang which is in need of members. hint. hint.

Where do you buy abilities?

You buy them with TP and pick what to buy from the rules set, and posst youre new abilities in your profile!

And also, Darmini, don't forget to PM the Royal Guard telling him what you've bought.
Talent points are used to “buy” skills from the Talent Book. The use of a talent point and what it was used for must immediately be sent as a notice to Royal Guard in a PM.

(Aside) What do we do with the Quest items we've used once we've received the TP for the quests? Do we give them to the Narrator? The Royal Guard? Whom?

whatever you do, do not donate your items to the narrator. The narrator or royal guard will take the items out for you.

(Aside) Thanks, Julian. Also, as a general suggestion to everyone, I'd avoid doing any of these initial repeatable quests more than twice, since it would be unfair to everyone else who joins up later if they couldn't do some of this stuff. Just a suggestion.
Question: Am I really going too far with the whole Arthur and Ford thing? I just want to know.

HA2's world is based on the world of Zelda 2:Adventures of Link, so will the map spread to the other half of Hyrule?

(Aside) Um...eventually, we hope. The first version was supposed to, but never did so far as I know.

Next to open up is Parapa desert, followed by the part of Hyrule featuring Bagu's forest, Saria and Mido town. Eventually, southern Hyrule(from the Original LoZ) will be open.

how do i start a qeust, i know its a dumb qeustion but i am new

Trust me, Jarod, there are no stupid questions when you're new.
You don't really start a quest, you just see what it is the people want, then you have to go find the item. It is a real item that you can put in your inventory, and you have to find it. Once you get it, just go back to the person in question and post a reply where you give them the item.
To find the items, move your mouse over the different screens next to the compass and you might find a hidden place you can click on.
